Great service! There's a wide selection of comics and graphic novels. The cost of the comics are cheap and in perfect condition.

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's a whole different world once you walk in. Everything seems very organized. I was looking for more graphic novel volumes of Buffy the Vampire Season 8 that I couldn't find at other stores. The nice guy at the counter greeted me and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I told him what I was looking for and he led me to the right shelf. The season and volumes where a bit confusing at first. I'm giving them 5 stars because he actually looked it up and gave me the names of the volumes so that I could find them much easier. Now that's good customer service. I really lucked out and found 3 volumes at this store that I didn't already have. I'd also read their FB page and noticed that they have a Spidey tree that they put up every year at Christmas time. I couldn't leave without taking a picture of it. It was cute and unique. Hey, who doesn't love Spiderman? Anyway, I will be back if I'm ever in need of other graphic novels. read more

Favorite place to go for comics, friendly staff and excellent selection of reading material

A virtual library of graphic novels and comic books as the inventory is so extensive. Plan to have enough time when visiting as you will not want to leave. A huge advantage is their stock of full series so you won't have to hunt around for certain issues. The owner is most helpful and can even locate items not immediately in the store. Expect to find the popular stuff: Walking Dead, Deadpool, Wolverine (both DC and Marvel) as well as the more rare items in the back of the store. read more

I tried contacting this comic store directly concerning a new comic that just hit shelves today. After finding out that they indeed had copies of the specific variant cover comic that I was inquiring about, I asked them specifically to check for possible damage caused by the comics printers because damage to this particular variant was possibly nation-wide. The person that I talked to said that it appeared that at least one of their copies seemed to be damage-free. I then asked if it was possible to have someone forward me a picture or 2 of the specific spot that the damage was showing up on just about all other copies of this particular variant and was told, no problem. He even asked if I was calling from my cell phone...I assume so that he knew where to send the picture. After waiting over an hour with no pictures being received, I called back and explained my situation again and was told to call this person's cell phone directly and he would shoot a pic right over so that's what I did. I then waited another hour with no picture or response from anyone. So, I then left 2 text messages to the cell # that I was given to call earlier and that I had actually talked to someone with explaining that I was trying to get a picture of the supposed undamaged area on this particular variant before I make a trip to visit their store because I am located approximately 26 miles away, according to Yelp data and that it would cost me at least $12 in gas just to visit their shop. Still no response. Since it was close to 530pm at this point, I attempted to contact the store again trying to reach someone and ask if maybe the pictures had been directed to the wrong # or what the issue was but got the answering machine both times that i attempted to reach the store, the 2nd call waiting about 5 minutes as their message stated. Now I can understand if their copies of this particular variant were also damaged but tell me that. The suggestion that I come to the shop and check out the variant issue in person and take their word that it was not printer damaged was not acceptable since I live about 26 miles away from this store. If they also had damaged copies, say that. If they have undamaged copies and are trying to keep a few copies to make some extra $ on them, I could accept that as well...heck, I'd even be willing to pay premium to get a copy undamaged if that's what I had to do. But to basically ghost me and not answer a polite text or phone call after telling me that a picture of the common damaged spot in this variant would not be a problem seems a little odd. read more

I have been coming to Read More for years now, I used to go to Milennium Comics before it became Read More. The owner is funny and really engages all the customers in coversations. He will know what is going on in each comic and always directs me to things that I might like. The store itself is located in a small shopping plaza right along 60. There are a few spots right in front of the store, while more parking is just across the way. It's a small store but well organized with a new comics rack for the current week, as well as alphabetized racks along the wall for current running recent issues. The back has collectibles and back issues if you are hunting for something, and the owner is very helpful if you have a specific comic in mind. The middle of the store has racks of trade paperbacks, again in alphabetical order, making it so easy to find what you needed. During holidays they run discounts like Black Friday with up to 50% off depending on what time you go. I grew up with this store and I can't imagine shopping anywhere else. read more

I think if I was born in the 70s/80s I would have been the hugest comic book nerd. I've been raised in the 90s though, surrounded by manga from Japan and Sonic the Hedgehog Archie comics (that I know and love). However, I have occasionally used my library card in the past to check out some comic books and enjoyed them. Read More Comics is located behind Angelina's Italian on State Road 60. It's really easy to miss if you don't pay attention when driving. I stopped by there today to get my Step-Dad a birthday present (shhh it's a surprise). I shopped at another comic book store by the AMC Regency 20 for Father's Day, but their selection was limited and the store was cramped so I wanted to try out this place after hearing about it from a fellow Yelper. The place is larger than it's AMC 20 competitor and has a huge selection of comics. I wandered the store for about forty minutes. Checking out their wide selection of graphic novels (all 25% off too - sweet) and comic books. They had all the major superhero comic book collections and in the back I even found a 20th anniversary Sonic the Hedgehog book that I happily bought. I couldn't help but notice some superhero lights in the back, especially the batman light (one of my favorite superheroes next to Daredevil). The owner was really helpful and suggested quite a few comic books to me. I eventually decided on an Avengers graphic novel for my Step-Dad and bought myself a Spider-Man graphic novel as well as the Sonic comic. I'll probably be back to try a new comic soon. read more

I'm not going to lie to you and tell you that I've been to dozens of comic shops; I haven't. Perhaps ten total. But, this place is great. The owner is pretty friendly and helpful. He'll order anything you want if he can. You can tell him what series you're interested in, and he'll hold it for you and give you a discount on it. Also, the place ALWAYS has 25% off graphic novels, which is awesome. If you can hold out long enough the store also has crazy sales (at least 50% off) periodically throughout the year (Black Friday, New Year's Eve, etc.). My only complaint is that the owner once recommended Marvel Zombies (terrible and ridiculous!). read more

Best comic book shop in Florida!!! Customer treatment is amazing, best Free Comic Book Day experiences and great discount for all the trades as well as a great selection. Size of the store might be smaller than big time shops like Coliseum of Comics and parking might be a little lacking due to the plaza, but once inside; done. Been going to this comic book shop for years. It's in a slightly sketchy area and parking during special events can be a challenge, but the owner is super friendly and knowledgeable. Same goes for the other hired help he has running the store when he isn't there. If you are in the Brandon area, this is the comic book store to go to. read more

This place is incredible! Today was my first time to ever purchase a comic. I had been referred here by a friend so I stopped in. I explained to the guy working there that I was new to the comic book world and he could not have been more helpful! After browsing for about 15 minutes I took his suggestion and got an older Batman comic. He was right on the money with the pick too because it was awesome.
