This location is the worst I have experienced. No management and lack of customer service. I have frequented this Target many times at Lutz Dale Mabry Highway. Unfortunately the customer service and store appearance has gone down hill. I set up a Target curbside pick up the night before for groceries. When I arrived at the curbside drive up, the Target app stated that curbside was not available and to select pickup. I walked to the pickup area and the line was moderately long. Wait 10 mins. No big deal, it's the holiday season and we just had some rain. I waited and when it was my turn the young lady scanned my bar code. While waiting by the pickup area I noticed there were no wheeled or hand carts as people came in. People were frustrated looking for something to put their purchases in. 15 minutes later my order came out. Unfortunately the young lady brought my $200 load of groceries in a "curbside pickup cart". She looked at the empty cart return area and seemed unsure how to give me my groceries. Since this was an employee only cart, I asked if she could walk me out with my groceries (sleeves of soda, bags of produce and TP) - I parked at curbside drive up. She said she would have to ask. She was gone again for a while so I called over a manager to help. I told the manager the story, that I've been here 30 minutes and just want to take my groceries to the car. I also mentioned that other customers were also looking for carts. No apology for the wait or the inconvenience. She simply said we are trying and walked away. The young lady finally came back with a shopping cart and put my groceries in. I mentioned to her she should let her manager know about the lack of carts at the front of the store. I received a blank stare and was told it must have been because it was raining earlier. For one of the largest consumer retailers (who is also located in a rainy state) you think you could manage cart return and show some customer empathy. A small, sorry for the inconvenience and some effort to make things right go along way. Why couldn't staff walk me and the groceries out in the curbside pickup cart? Targetmakes my wallet light... I'd blame my wife, but she says she is making me money by shopping at Target? This place is convenient in both location and for our shopping needs. As a Super Target, it had a grocery area that supplements our shopping needs. Ypu acne order online and set for pickup in store or pickup in the parking area. This apparently has become such a popular option that they built a dedicated parking area with an awning to protect from sun and rain. Stock is usually pretty good, and the employees are fairly helpful as long as ypu can fins them. There is a large self checkout area like most stores so checking out is relatively easy if you shop in store. One thing I'm not such a fan of is that there is a Starbucks near the grocery area makes my wallet even lighter if my wife is with me. I have to hold her hands the entire trip.... Overall great place for your shopping needs, but also a place to lose a lot of money... Sometimes, I think Target should offer stock options to frequent shoppers. read more

TARGET OPTICAL CENTER !!!!!!!Don't go to this location! I went to this Target location for an eye exam. Made the appointment and showed up early. Told them I was early and sat down. About 5 min later a girl that did not speak English came up to me and said cancel appointment. I said no I am here for appointment. She then got two other optical workers. One came over and said they can't see me because I did not reply to the text confirming my appointment. What? I made an appointment. Showed up as I have been for years now at Target optical. On time. Early in fact. But because I did not reply yes to a target text message confirming the appointment they canceled my appointment? I didn't cancel my appointment. I have never canceled any of my eye appointments. I have been going there for years now. The lady said it two times and even told me let me tell you again as if I didn't hear her the first time the staff is extremely rude in the vision center. There was literally one customer in there. They were not busy. I had an appointment and didn't cancel and was told I will have to call back and make another appointment at a later time. I did not make a scene. I said OK and left Do not go to this target optical center. Go to the one in 33635. There is a Dr Chen at that location that is phenomenal and their staff is A+ Marilyn with the tiny black glasses is so super helpful and would have never turned me away. I had to stop in to target on the way home from having lunch with a friend out in Land O Lakes. This one, located on North Dale Mabry was the closest location. A large store with a nice lay out, it had everything that I needed and then some. I was able to make a quick trip in and out. i would like to say i am very disappointed in the management at this starbucks inside target. they closed 3 hours early and were extremely rude when i walked up expecting to order. they sat there after they "closed" the store being lazy on their phones but they couldn't quickly make a drink for me considering it wasn't time to close yet. very disappointed and dissatisfied with how this visit went. never will be returning (i'll probably be back tmr). read more

You know how you go to all targets and they are set up the same. Well, what I hate most is when groceries are on one side and the other stuff is on the other side, and then in another target it's flip flopped. I always want to park where I know I need stuff whether it's on the grocery side or the non grocery side. That drives me nuts. I am sure others feel the same way too. I love target. They have very cute house stuff, and it's so much easier for me to navigate the grocery section. They have my chicago unos frozen pizza, I can't find that anywhere else. They also have the best meat section. It's the most friendliest. I never know which meats were good for cooking on the grill, skillet, or crock pot or in oven. They label these so nicely for you. I will only get my steaks from here, and the prices are good. I feel like they have more variety than walmart. If you know the prices of certain items that are your regular items, then you know will know where it is cheaper. A lot of stuff I pick up end up less expensive at target. read more

Targets are usually good at fulfilling pick up orders, but this one is absolutely terrible. It seems like nobody works in customer service as the desk is always empty, lines are backed up, and there are many cars sitting in the parking lot waiting for their orders. The last three times I have come, it has taken Over 20 minutes for someone to come out and have had to leave and come back multiple times due to it taking so long. The most rude and disrespectful people work at self-checkout at Target on 1040 Dale Mabry Hwy, Lutz, Florida 33548. Today, when I needed assistance at self-checkout for a bottle of wine, I 'greeted' associate Susan (per her name tag "trainer") in charge of self-checkout. She yelled out with the rudest and most arrogant tone "Hi there, what's your date of birth!' Is it a policy of greeting the customers at Target, in this manner? And it's especially alarming that she is a 'trainer' . On multiple occasions when I've shopped at this store, I've had the most unpleasant aftertaste of being rudely mistreated by one associate or another. This Target has a horrible customer service culture, and horrible training or both. Upper management truly needs to re-train their employees or fire those who just don't get it. I live a few minutes away from the store, but going forward I will gladly drive a few extra miles to other grocery stores to avoid a similar unpleasant experience at this Target on Dale Mabry and County Line in Lutz, FL. read more

What is not to love about Target! I love their home furnishing department with the Magnolia brand. I always use my Red Card for an additional discount on everything I buy. They have awesome little faux plants for $5.00! And I bought plenty. Since we just moved into our home I have been shopping every day and going about every other day to Target :). OK, if you know me then you know that I'm a huge fan of Target -- if I don't buy on Amazon, I buy at Target based on the pure convenience they have to purchase online and pickup in store or via drive-up. I placed an order yesterday for drive-up at the Tampa North location. I've only done drive-up pickup 2x's before and they were at the North Dale Mabry location but that one didn't have when I needed this time around. This experience this morning really frustrated both me and my daughter. We arrived a little before 10AM, parked in the designated drive-up parking spots, opened the Target app and checked in, which if you've not done drive-up before it lets the store know that you arrived and tells you that an associate is on their way. We sat and we sat and we sat some more with no associate coming. Finally by 10:10AM, I called the store through the app (I had my daughter and dog with me so I was not going to leave them in the car while I ran in...besides I ordered this via drive-up) and was patched over to guest services but the phone just rang and rang....then it went back to the operator to whom transferred to guest services again and the phone rang 10x's then someone picked up saying that they'd be out soon. By 10:19AM an associate was walking out of the store with my bags. I had my bar code ready to go for her to scan but their machine wasn't working or wanting to scan the code for her -- she had to phone into the store to ask what to do...they told her to just hand over the goods and they can check out in store after she comes back in. She apologized for the delay and I explained to her that I realize it's not her fault but I've been waiting now 20 minutes for the order to make it's way out to me which is unacceptable. She explained that she didn't even work at the guest services, they called her from another area to bring the order out. Target should revisit this drive-up experience that I had today and not make their guests wait this amount of time -- which I only experienced 20 minutes because I called into the store. I'm thinking that if I hadn't called that the wait would've been longer. If the service desk is backed up or if nobody is working that area then they should have a system that notifies Target staff that there is a drive-up order waiting. I think I'll be walking in from now on OR going to my regular Target at North Dale Mabry. read more

Not the Best Target I go to but it's decent for what it is. It's way better then the Walmart that's right next to this location. The employees are fine, not the most helpful but that's mostly when it comes to the Toy Department. A good portion of the younger staff try to hide from people so they don't have to answer any questions. Customer Service can be great or bad. Using the system they put into Place to find items in the store is great, but when you ask and show someone something specific they often bring you something that is not even close to what you showed them. Again this Target is fine, not great not terrible just fine. read more

Easily one of my favorite targets around! This one and the other one on N. dale Mabry in Carrollwood just have my heart. Every time I go in, they are clean, organized and employees are usually working and not wasting time from what I see. Any time I ask them for help, they are more than willing to answer whatever question I have and help me find something I may not be able to find on my own. I usually like going in and out to stores, but anytime I go to this Target I spend more time ( and money) than a man should. They also have products that stores like Walmart don't have, such as Oatly, which is a delicious Oat milk ive recently started to fancy. As well as many organic and gluten free options to satisfy any health kick out there. I can't say I have any complaints with this place. read more

My wife placed a mobile order, the associate brought it to the car. When she arrived home she discovered that she only had two of the items she ordered. I went to pick up the balance of the order. I waited patiently in line to get it. I explained what happened, the young lady asked my name and gave me the missing bag. No apology... nothing. I then went to walk out the door closet to the service area and was told I had to go out the other door. After walking all the way to the opposite end and back towards my car I see the same individual that stopped me and insisted that I go out the other door let another guy out the she said I couldn't exit. I would hate to think that it was because of my skin tone. That is the only visible difference between me and the guy she let out. Poor customer service. read more

On my way home I decided to give them a call to see if they have something in inventory so when the person picked up I asked to speak to electronics and they put me on hold, For some reason they felt the need to pick up the phone and hang up. But then when I called back to try to reconnect no one pick up the phone. Someone should always be able to pick up the phone no matter what at that location maybe they need to get rid of the children they have work in there or train them properly. read more

Today I went in to buy a specific desk and knew I would not be able to lift it. I looked around for someone in a red shirt and then saw a target security officer. I went to him in hopes of him just radio-ing to one of the employees to grab another and help me out. Surprise...! He said I will help you. I said its large and can't fit in a cart. He said no prob. Go to the aisle where the desk is and I'll be there with a flat cart. 3 minutes later here is Jeremy with another guy to get the desk. I told him I was done shopping and would need help getting it into my truck. I then noticed the box looked like it had a "hard way to go" on its journey to the shelves as it had a big rip (it was the last one). Jeremy said, maybe you can get x% off because of the condition of the box. I was like wow, that would be nice! He brought it to the front for me, waited with my item (someone was eyeing it pretty hard, lol) and then told someone about the discount and they made it happen. He then took the desk to my truck and put it in there by himself. I would never do a review on a store unless I got horrible treatment. But since I got such great service from Jeremy I had to. The stars are for him. He could have sent someone else to help me, but he made sure I was taken care of himself. Shop at this store frequently. Was checking the dairy section out and found out that half of the cottage cheese were all expired. I brought it to a workers attention, he immediately apologized. I went to the cereal isle, pop tarts was my target. Well 17 out of 21 boxes was more than a month expired. Brought to another workers attention and he said the same, sorry I will pull them right now. 5 minutes later in another isle a worker approached me and asked if he could help find the items I was looking for. I gotta say I was very impressed with the "new and very clean" look of Target! We walked around the entire store.and the more I looked, the more impressed I was. Target is usually a great experience, our cashier was GREAT - loaded our cart , reminded us about cartwheel and coupons. We had helpful associates while we were in the store. There was even a guy who was collecting carts in the parking lot with an attitude that screams excellent customer service. We wanted to return items that we recently purchased which were full price but, now were on sale. The associate in customer service was not very abrasive in telling us it wasn't something she was able to do. This was confusing, so I asked to speak with a manager. When she arrived the associate with the same level of aggression told the manager which the manager mimicked the tone. I was shock at the caliber, or lack thereof, of helpful customer service. It was inconsistent with ANY other Target experience we've had. Perhaps it's a coaching opportunity for these two individuals. read more

I usually like shopping at Target. They are much more comfortable than Walmart. I especially like shopping at Super Target. Where I used to live in St. Pete, there were no Super Targets within a reasonable driving distance. Now there is one by my new place and I was very happy about this. However, last time I went here to shop it was too cold. It was not an abnormally warm day outside, so it made no sense to have the air conditioning pumping out such cold air. I was also disappointed with the section. Their selection was so poor that I ended up having to make an additional stop at Publix on my way home. For example, they were completely out of sour cream. Well not completely, but they only had the biggest size for their Target brand. I did not need that much and surely it would have gone bad, luckily there was a Publix on the way home. They also did not have the minature 8oz Budweiser cans that I love. I know Walmart carries them, and I was pretty sure Publix did too. Since I already had to stop at Publix on the way home, it was a moot issue. Finally, their chicken selection is weak. Publix had a really good butch section. It seemed that all the chicken that I had to choose from was in a bunch of separately wrapped bags. That may be convenient for eating small meals, but not when I am cooking dinner for friends. I just wanted to three pack of chicken breasts that you see at every grocery store. The benefit of the Super Target is to have all the grocery store necessities combined with all the department store goods of Target. This Super Target did not meet that goal. On a side note, the butchers were very friendly and helpful. We could not find water chestnuts, nor any employees around except for the butchers. Luckily they took us directly to the water chestnuts. It was nice to have someone not within their specific department still be extremely helpful. read more

I shop at this Target weekly. I prefer Target for my groceries and pretty much everything else because it's never super busy, the clientele aren't umm...well they're not Walmart clientele. I love using the cartwheel app, RedCard and coupons - which make their prices extremely competitive. The store is clean. The staff are friendly. They have a Starbucks! (need to get cup holders for the carts though!!) They're pretty good at keeping lines to a minimum -- most of the time. Room for improvement: -more sales -no more data breaches -music. This store customer service is above the top!!!! Loved the lay out of the store and all the friendly staff and help that was always being offered. It was very well organized and clean. The bathrooms were also spotless as the rest of the store was. There were many clearance items that were add anime scene price. And in every Department the customer service representatives were ready to assist you and go the extra mile. The food selection in the deli department as well as the produce Frozen sections where to die for so come with time because you are bound to spend more time than you need it and you are bound to spend a lot more than you think you are because they are so many things you're going to want. I did have to address the customer service desk and I must admit that everyone was very helpful and extremely friendly all in all this store is one of my favorites make sure you visit them when you are in town. read more

It drives me insane that this target will never open up any of its checkout lanes on the ends of the store nearest to the doors. They do it to force you to walk half way across the store just to checkout, and then half way back to the exit. What they don't realize is how much this deters people from using target as a place to run in and grab a few grocery items. They put the deli and the produce right by the door so you can grab a prepared lunch, but then make the checkout process a huge inconvenience. Why install 4 express checkout lanes near the grocery side of the store if you are never going to use them? read more
