While I have not been in need of their services/homegoods, I have been aware of the quality of their reputation, especially thru a long-time neighbor who SWORE by them for the decades we were in Lutz. When I moved to my condo in Carrollwood, I was using closets to store items I never got to use in the house; my buyer kept the furniture I couldn't take. The Room Exchange moved to Carrollwood, a fraction of a mile from me. I made an appt to take in some decorator items I was still storing. The staff was terrific those few weeks ago when I took the items in, accepting everything I had taken them. Guess what? Yesterday I received a check for the items, each itemized with what I was being paid.... looks like everything sold. Room Exchange, you all ROCK! I've been a customer for years at the old location on Route 54....this location is a little farther away but still worth the trip! They have an above average selection of resale furniture and accessories. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, the service is excellent and they provide optional paid (reasonable) services like delivery or pick up. The value is excellent and the condition of the merchandise is outstanding. I try to stop in whenever I'm in the area.....never know when you'll get something you have always wanted but was too expensive new! read more

The furniture that I have purchased, some of which were from model homes, were extremely affordable. I have purchased teak consoles, dressers, coffee tables, lamps, pictures, rugs and on and on and on. The staff is professional and extremely friendly. I love this place. i was provided a delivery window of 10-2 on a Saturday. The store confirmed this 2 days prior. On the day of the delivery no one arrived during the scheduled time and when I called they said I was now scheduled for "around 4 pm". I am annoyed that I wasted my entire Saturday. if the delivery window changed I should have been notified So I would not sit home all day. read more

The delivery guys, Jason and Chance, were professional and courteous. They got the job done and solved another furniture problem while they were here moving the older love seat to a different room. This is by far the best consignment store in the area. We moved to our new house a year ago and have been furnishing it from the Room Exchange ever since! We have found countless treasures from furniture, quality art, accessories, books, dishes, candles and more! They carry a wide selection of items all of which are of high quality. The prices are very fair and drop every month (if the item lasts that long!). There is a high turn over rate with the items in the store, so the selection never gets stale. Checked them out for the first time and I must say, what a hidden gem. The furniture is all in fantastic condition, pricing is unable to be beat and they even offer a very practical delivery service. We were in search of a curio cabinet and they had several! I love consigning. My hubby always wants to know "what we are shopping for" but the beautiful thing is ....you just never KNOW what you will find so you have to go....often if you are really digging into the experience. We just bought a house and moved to Wesley Chapel and while I love IKEA and all things Target, I prefer to find gems with unique history and details. I just love discovering something different....my house is a hot mess of randomness but I really like mixing old with the new. This store only has one review but they deserve more. I love that the floor is not CROWDED with stuff. It is divided in sections -- not necessarily ALL styled, which is OK. I found several adorable pieces and landed on three must haves. I love their price point for their items. They are CLEARLY priced to sell which is excellent -- 70-90% off retail and many many different kinds of pieces. We discovered a handcrafted custom coffee table for only $135 and a desk for under $40 {it needs some work but what a steal!}. There was an amazing outdoor dining set I wish I could take home but we really did NOT need that and I fell IN LOVE with a 1980s style dining set that would have easily worked for only $190 but hubby wasn't having it. I also found a fabulous room divider. The best part though? They DELIVER AS MUCH AS YOU BUY for ONE price dependent on zip code and for the duration of the week you have to wait, you can ADD on for the same price....and from Lutz to WC, it was only $39. The guys who delivered {John and Jerry} were careful, POLITE, courteous and incredibly easy to work with. They came in the time frame given. I really loved how personable and easy they were to talk to. It made the exchange extremely comfortable and they even placed each item where I asked, made sure my other furniture was moved back and rugs were in place....and they played with the dogs. It was my favorite part of this past Friday and I really want to give them a shout out. Overall a WONDERFUL experience as a buyer. Wish there were MORE consignments on this side of town but for now, I'll definitely be headed back to this one in the weeks to come! read more

This is the go to place for great used furniture I've bought and sold here. Clean store, always treated honestly and professionally. I like that they have delivery and pickup (if your selling) available. Inventory changes all the time, but a good mix from nearly new to a bit older but good condition. They have everything from big furniture pieces to small accent items. I have been able to outfit my entire house with good quality furniture and accessories at a great price from this place. All pieces are of good quality and the turnover is fast so if you don't see what you want today, come back tomorrow. On the flip side, if you see something you like, get it now because it won't be there later. They even have fair hold policies so if you're not sure the item will fit in the spot you have available, you've got some time to go check without losing the piece. Inept at best. I called them and spoke to a woman about bringing in my grandparents formal dining room furniture for them to sell. The woman told me that the next available day for drop off was 3 weeks out, so I made the appointment and gave her my name. That was all that she and I spoke about. She asked me not one question about the set. She did not ask me to send photos or describe the set in any way. I showed up with a truck bed full of furniture 3 weeks later only to be told by their staff that they would not take the set due to the chairs having a rattan backing and they are difficult to sell. I then asked for the manager. He confirmed what I had been told by his staff. This company does one thing and one thing only - take your furniture and home goods and sell them for you. You then split the money at the agreed upon rate. You would think that after being in business for years that there would be some sort of method or protocol when fielding calls about a client bringing in an ENTIRE SET OF HEAVY FURNITURE. Apparently not. The owner was kind enough to offer selling the beautiful hutch that came with the set. As if I would conduct business with them on any level going forward. The set was donated to Goodwill where I hope it can help someone. That wonderful bit of karma is the only reason they got one star (Oh, and they don't let you leave none on Yelp).
