One of the things I genuinely love about Hobby Lobby is that it is openly a Christian store. The religious music playing in the background adds something to the atmosphere. It feels calmer. Softer. People who work there are generally very nice, which makes the whole experience feel pleasant. I have not actually purchased that many things there. A few plastic art organizers that I use for my makeup. Some Christmas ornaments. And one hanging wall art piece. That is about it. But I still enjoy going in. I am an artsy, craftsy type person. I love to paint and I use acrylic paints. In the past, I would buy art supplies there. Lately, though, I just have not had the time to do anything "artsy." read more

I really love Hobby Lobby. Probably bc I park in the most perfect morning shaded spot. Take Mocha Coconut for a walk then walk across the sidewalk and Hobby Lobby is there to rescue us with a shopping cart and AC. I always go to the same sections first. I love the Spring Summer Seasonals. Right now they are all decked up for Fall and trickling in the Xmas. I always come in looking for randoms and they always have something for me. There's always cute seasonal earrings for cheap. I was looking for some random patches for some hats I got. I also looked for some random magnets. I know there's both weird, cool, & practical stuff. -They Don't Have Apple Pay- Came into Hobby lobby to look for party decorations and of course, walked out with me more than I needed. The store was pretty clean and very organized, except the clearance area, which I feel like people just rummage through that anyways . When we came in for the party decorations, we were able to find everything we wanted. And if you didn't know, they always have paper plates and napkins, half price so that was nice. Of course, when you have two kids, you have to go through the toy section and they had some really cool finds. We got a cool pop it game and slime. Checking out it was a breeze. Hobby Lobby has all the good deals! They are the perfect store to get all of your household needs and decor . I do question what their prices really are because literally Christmas decorations for example are always 50% off during the holiday season. Visited this location just after it opened. I think it is in Wesley Chapel right on the border with Lutz. This chain store is consistent across all locations that I have been to. There is a large selection of housewares, decorative , and holiday items. You can find such items as pictures and picture frames, artificial flowers, vases, wall art, small furniture, and arts & crafts. They have a full selection of holiday items prior to each holiday. Easter, July 4th, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, they have you covered. The store is very well organized. The staff keep the shelves neat. There is plenty of parking. read more

Hobby Lobby can be so fun and dangerous for the wallet if you're not careful. We popped in looking for décor items for my daughters new house- specifically wall art and a big, oversized clock. Instead we found cloud shelves for Riley's nursery! lol They had a decent selection for wall clocks- but none that fit what my daughter had in her minds eye. She did narrow down what she wants on the wall in the dining room- a cow painting, thanks Hobby Lobby for the inspiration. I'm a Hobby Lobby lover!!! I wish there was one in Brandon!! But since there isn't, I get to make little excursions all over central Florida touring all the Hobby Lobby's! Todays excursion was the newer Lutz location (because I wanted to go to Home Goods and Chuy's!). It was nice and clean, they state at the door you need to wear masks inside and there were sanitized carts. There was PLENTY of Fall decor, pumpkin OVERLOAD but no Halloween. And they had 50% of the Christmas decor out on display already. No Hanukkah. The lack of representation of those holidays earns them 4/5 stars with me. Yes, I know this is a Christian owned company but not all of their customers observe the same religious foundation. Diversity is welcoming. Being a crafter, I know you need to get those holiday crafts started in the summer, so I was okay with seeing them all over the store in the beginning of August. I was looking for apple decor to decorate my dining room this fall for a change of pace from pumpkins... No luck! My mother in law and aunt in law told me about Hobby Lobby. So one day they decided to take me and I've been going ever since. Thanks to all the employees for working hard to handle the lines and keep the store neat organized and stocked it has made shopping such a breeze. I normally find everything I need or want and then some. I've gotten gifts for family and friends from here. I love doing arts and crafts and just being creative in my spare and hobby lobby has taken it to a whole new level. I definitely recommend others coming here for things they made need. How has Tampa been sleeping on opening a Hobby Lobby for so long?! If you are the crafty type or into decorating or in the mood for random Knick knacks, this is the place for you. From fabric, florals, home decor for every room to seasonal items, children's crafting and gift ideas, I personally enjoy perusing through the aisles and trying to avoid buying what I don't need. It's definitely a mix between Home Goods, Michael's and Joann's fabric if these are stores you fancy. This trip to Hobby Lobby was a much better experience than before. Employees were friendly this time and there were so many sales going on! We went in to return something but quickly got sucked in by the fall decorations (that were all 40% off!) An employee also mentioned that the back corner had 90% off merchandise, but when we looked it was all damaged/broken. I'm in love with all of the decorations they had and will be going back for the scrapbooking sale they have (50% off all stickers, paper, and books)! Love going to this location. The store is always super clean, well-organized, stocked up, and has really friendly staff. The brightly lit store makes it easy to see and look at the products when trying to figure out the perfect craft or decor to make the event just right. I love the huge selection of holiday decor with things you have never even thought of. Today, I came in for craft items I could use in my classroom. I'm an avid crafter and would make many trips to Lakeland to buy my crafting goodies. Then I found out about this new store and was thrilled it was closer to home. This is a very nice store. It reminds me of the store in Zephyrhills with the way it is set up. The downside of this location is that their paper crafting section is much less then the Lakeland site. That is my craft. I could not find items I needed here that I knew the Lakeland store has. I believe this whole store is smaller, which means less products. I would not ever say do not come to this store. It just doesn't carry all I need in my crafting. It's very nice, clean and checkout guy seemed nice enough (he really said nothing). For me, I think I will be returning to Lakeland. read more

I have been going to this Hobby Lobby since the day they opened. It has changed so much. I went to the store today and I had to deal with the rudeness of an employee at the register. The add and the signs in the store said that the items I purchased were 50% off. She wanted to charge me regular price. She made a big deal of it. She called the person in the front to verify and she said yes they are 50% off. She didn't like her answer so she made the manager go check and he also said it was 50% off. While I'm waiting I spoke to the worker and she wouldn't even acknowledge me and answer to anything I said. I spoke to the manager and let him know what happened. While I was talking to the manager she was laughing like she doesn't care or like nothing was going to happen to her. I was told by another person that works with her that it's not the first time someone complained about her. So why keep someone toxic working at that store. It's a shame. read more

Eh is all I have to say. This is like a Michaels meets Home Goods. If you're in the market for year round Christmas or Thanksgiving decor this is also your place since they appeared to have sections dedicated to these holidays. The store is clean and spacious however sale signage is very confusing and misleading. There are various tables around the store with several different types of items on the table and the table display may have a sign that says 50% off however not all items on that table display are eligible for the 50% off! Can be frustrating as a consumer because you approach the display like wow a sale but then you're disappointed because oh wait, not everything on the display is included. read more

Super clean store and recently opened in Wesley Chapel!!! Well stocked and ready for you to invade for your crafty or decorating needs! This Hobby Lobby is located across the street from Tampa Premium Outlets and in the same strip as Earth Fare. There is tons of parking and it was not crowded on this particular Friday morning. The staff was super welcoming and everyone seemed really happy to work there. The store is really big and set up so that the perimeter is all crafting supplies (everything from fake flowers to fabric to painting supplies) while the center of the store is full of beautiful home decor. There is so much more too! Toys, furniture, holiday decorations, etc. They have tons of sales and coupons are easy to obtain from their website. It's like a glorified Joann Fabric or Michael's. The NEW Hobby Lobby store in Wesley Chapel did not have what I was looking for nor have items that were on sale. After NOT receiving any help or proper customer service in this new store, I ordered the items online at HobbyLobby.com.. It seemed easy enough ordering online, HOWEVER .... it took a very long time to come and on one package, a fragile item inside was broken !! I contacted Hobby Lobby.com right away sending pictures of the broken item that was packed so poorly. Two weeks later now I still have not had my broken item replaced ! They responded once to my email stating they will refund me or replace my item . I told them I wanted the item therefore I want a REPLACEMENT . I then received a second email saying sorry this happened to you and demanding a answer a list of questions --- QUESTIONS I ANSWERED responding to Hobby Lobby customer service THE FIRST TIME !!! This email saying, failure to give them the order #. Sku#, tracking number from shipping box, along with pictures -- seriously !!!?????!!! All this info Hobby Lobby not only has because I sent an email to them providing them with it the FIRST time, I actually ORDERD FROM THEM !!!! They have the information .... all they have been doing is dragging their feet ! Hobby Lobby has a beautiful store and beautiful items in the store, but Hobby Lobby customer service IN THE STORE and at HOBBYLOBBY.com is THE WORST I have seen in a long long time !!!!! Hobby Lobby reminds me of Michael's but with a whole lot of home furnishings and furniture. Parking lot is big with plenty of spaces even on busy days. There are two entrances that are parallel to each other for easy of access. Walking in, the registers are front and center with walkways to the right to get into the main area of the store. Layout is fairly simple and intuitive with items like paint, arts and crafts, and similar items in the same area. There were two large areas that were dedicated to Halloween and Christmas items. Was weird to see all the Christmas items, but I guess it's becoming a year round business. The day we were there, it was pretty busy so checkout lines were a bit long, hence the deduction of 1 star. It was a bit chaotic and people were getting impatient. Pricing is decent and comparable to other stores and online storefronts. Would I be back? Most likely, but they are 30 minutes from me so I would need to organize a shopping excursion to the Outlet mall or Costco nearby. read more

At the register Luana says I'm not sure about these items so she called hobby lobby's manager who went over looked on kiosk and removed the sign because she said this was from yesterday/last weeks sale. Local news did a story that the Lutz FL store is charging an unexplained "user fee" as a percentage of each sale. It's on each receipt. But the store never mentioned. Yokes, not good!
