Michael's also host free events for kids 3 and older. You have to check their website for class times and craft description. I especially love this location because everything is organized and well stocked. Sign up for their email subscription to receive 40% off regular item or 20% total purchase (including sale items) coupons. If you don't want to submit your email information, visit their website to download the coupons. I always take advantage of their holiday sales. Just price check other stores to make sure you're getting a good deal. The seasonal items are usually at the front of the store. I would not recommend the framing department. Please just save your money and go to a real framing store. They do not have a good selection of backgrounds and not many frames at all. My sister made a beaded art piece and they glued it to the frame upside down. It was a sunset reflecting on the sea. How can you screw that up? Didn't know if the sun should be on the top or the bottom??? They also were suggesting the ugliest backgrounds I just couldn't understand how they worked in that department. The rest of the store was ok but its not one of the locations with larger selections of items. read more

I love Michael's especially during holiday times! They have amazing deals, especially if you look on their website for coupons and sign up for email notifications. We stopped in yesterday because they were having a 40% off sale on their fall and Halloween decorations. We also had a 50% off one full priced item coupon. Spring decor was also 60 to 70% off! It's safe to say we were there for a while looking at all the sale items. This is my happy place! It may be early but this visit put me in the Fall spirit! Always a fan of Michaels and this one is in a good area of town also. The store is always very clean and organized. Love to shop here during the holidays and right after as they have awesome deals. Michaels is my go-to for anything craft related. You can also purchase online and pickup at store -- either inside the store or via drive up pickup. Staff is always friendly. If you need custom framing they also have that available as well but can be a bit pricey from my experience....have only used them once. Any other framing I do myself and just purchase the materials at Michales. read more

I've been coming to this location for a few years now (probably around 5 or so) specifically for framing and hands down the team here are beyond amazing!! Kathleen and Brittney are super friendly and very personable and are always excited to help out with the new framing projects I come in with. They have a ton of patience and even the framing computer program can be a bit tricky at times, as long as you are patient it is well worth it. Every time I see the computer vision of what the final product will look like, I'm always blown away when I come to pick up my latest piece since it far exceeds even what I had envisioned! Even though I only come 2-3 times a year to get my artwork framed, the team at this Michaels is hand down the absolute best and Kathleen and Britney especially are a real joy to work with on my new projects! I was shopping here with my two daughters both looking for their crafting items and I was looking for some Party Supply DIY's... From the moment I walked into Michaels I was greeted with a smile and was asked if we needed help finding anything. Every employee there wore a welcoming smile and asked if help was needed. Stopped at Michaels to find a special frame for my son's Christmas gift. I found an old business card of my son's from high school when he and his best friend started a business and decided I needed a special frame. Of course I found it! It already had the opening perfect for a business card. And while I was there I could not help myself to buying some beautiful ornaments at 50% off! Wow...so unique. I love that place! During this time there is not a ton in stock at many stores but Michaels does it's best to accommodate. They are continually having sales that benefit the customer and have a great range of items in stock! Plus my cashier Brittaney was super inviting and friendly from the moment I walked in the door. Well. I must admit. I love going to Michaels and pretending I will get beautiful crafts completed, however that is not always the case! But I do have some super crafty friends and family members, so I love going in there with them and "brainstorming"plus I love the fact that they always have awesome COUPONS! Well, I went shopping a few times in the last 2-3 weeks. One of those experiences was not the best, the cashier was so "DULL" and BLAH! She had no care in the world for her customers, her verbal and non-verbal communication was less than acceptable. I love Michael's and enjoy coming to this location in the Grove shopping center. I installed their application on my phone and signed up for emails specials -- this is the best way to save money. Sometimes they offer a coupon saving 50% off entire order or 40% off one item. Most recently they offered a coupon for 75% off their framing services....that is a great deal and I took advantage of it! They have a little bit of everything when it comes to arts & crafts....sewing, needlework, knitting, crochet, framing, floral, art supplies, jewelry making, painting, kids crafts and many more. They also offer some cool free and inexpensive classes (i.e.cake decorating, painting). This location offers a myriad of classes for all age groups. If you are interested in the schedule it is available online. Everyone working here has always been friendly and helpful. If they did not have an item they called around to different locations trying to find what I needed. Hours 9 to 9 Monday through Saturday and 10 to 7 on Sundays. read more
