So, do you love Harry Potter? Then, you need to go here. It's stuffed full of licensed gear but there are also lots of handmade goodies. Personally, I love the handmade items so much. You can get licensed items anywhere. They've got everything from wands to costumes, clothing to jewelry, home decor to food; Bertie bots, chocolate snitches, and more! And do NOT forget the butterbeer!! There's also a common room for hanging out and they often have a station set up for a themed craft! You'll see Harry's cupboard under the stairs, theres a fireplace exploding with Hogwarts letters, Potter music is piped throughout, and an awesome Great Hall ceiling! After you've paid for your treasures, be sure to grab a gem in your House color to add to the vases up front; my family are proud Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs! I really miss their 40% off of one item coupon…read morethey used to have in their app. Since that coupon is no longer offered, I've deleted the app, and probably come to hobby lobby maybe 2-3 times in a year. I come here when I need stuff for soaping in a quick pinch or need to repair jewelry or look for budget friendly earrings and statement pieces. I will browse Their Christmas section while there and it is always great. Overall the store is great... with that said, I can't say I enjoy the environment with their music selection, it is only tolerated. I also do not support the company owners limitations in providing all access to women's health care items potentially needed for their wellness. While not directly connected to the staff or store itself, knowing this makes me uncomfortable to support this franchise 100%. That being said I like the store for what it can offer, but if I was able to choose between a Michaels and a Hobby Lobby, I'm choosing Michaels because of the environment it holds over its female employees and those that it affects. I won't devalue the location and what it offers, its stock, or the employees that work there.

Several different options from covers, lined, unlined, dotted, smaller/closer lines vs more widely ruled.... I have tiny handwriting, especially with my better, more fine tipped pens I prefer to journal with, so finding a closely ruled journal I like isn't always easy. The wrapping paper options were also lovely, and the selection of items around the shop for not only journaling and book themed things was great, unusual but often undervalued items. My friend finally found more reusable makeup rounds, complete with their own storage bag, after she's been looking for a few months to replace the ones she's had and used for years but are starting to show some definite wear. The cashier and person assisting with stocking were both friendly and helpful without being pushy/overly involved (ALWAYS appreciated as an introvert!). I found not only the perfect journal for my preferences but also picked up a small craft project and both were very fair in price.

Back then or even twenty years ago it was no surprise to find an actual scrapbook store throughout many cities. Sadly, now, it is almost impossible to find brick and mortar store. I believe when I moved down to Florida 18 years ago there were 3 stores that I frequented often and now, only Scraporium is left. When I am in the Carrollwood or Lutz area , I always stop in if it's during business hours to see what they have added to the store or if there is anything that I must have. The ladies that work, there are always so nice and polite and willing to help find anything that you may be looking for that.They have as the store is very packful of various goodies. I truly hope they are successful enough to remain open for years to come.

Some things were a good price and some things were higher than average. But the fact that it's a small and local place made me comfortable paying a premium. There was a woman when we walked in that acknowledged us but we weren't sure if she was a manager or just a customer. When we went to pay, we were second in line and the lady at the cash register (I assume owner) disappeared without saying a word after she helped the people in front of us. Not sure what happened but we waited several minutes before we could check out. No other customers were in the store at the time. I'll be back, though :)
