They had seamlessly loaded the contents of my 650 square foot apartment including large/heavy fragile furniture with glass (8 foot tall dresser with mirror weighing 250 lbs, and 50 galloon reptile tank) in about 1 hour. We promptly left via car to meet them at our new address in Philly, and they arrived at exactly the same time as we did. They unloaded the truck in about an hour again, and helped partially unpack and put items in the proper places, especially the furniture that would have been hard for me to move on my own later. I will continue to use Piece of Cake, and have recommended to several friends over the years that I have been using them. It was quick working with the customer support team initially to quote the move, make payment, and on COIs and confirmation. When we move again in a couple years Piece of Cake will be the only mover I call. My recommendation to others considering the service, be transparent and honest about the contents of your move, especially items requiring extra protection even if there is an additional fee involved. There were no surprise add-ons in my move because we carefully selected every single item that would be included in our move early on in the process, and made sure to reply in detail to the follow up emails regarding insurance, access to the apartments (stairs vs elevator, reserved elevator, etc.), and so on move-in day everything went off without a hitch. I have not been able to use the service at all because I never received a working key. Initially, I was told the keys would take two weeks. When I followed up, I was given multiple different timelines: first 3 to 4 days, then I was told the keys were "lost in the mail" and needed to be reordered again. After several follow-ups, I was told the keys would be ready on Monday at 9am. When I arrived, the key provided did not work. I was then given additional explanations and delays, including that the correct key was unavailable due to another renter. Despite repeated assurances, the issue was never resolved in a timely manner. I paid approximately $640 for a service I was unable to use due to ongoing delays and lack of proper communication. I have filed a complaint with corporate and requested a refund. At this point, I do not feel confident in the reliability or professionalism of this location to handle mail services appropriately. I hope this issue is resolved, but based on my experience, I would recommend considering other locations.

The crates stack up very neatly, unlike cardboard boxes, and are much easier for the movers to move. The drop-off and pick-up were punctual and flexible. We originally booked for two weeks - took one week to pack, two days to unpack. BoxUp was able to pick up the crates early and get them out of our way. Reuben did the drop-off and pick-up and was very professional. BoxUp also conveniently offers other packing material to be delivered with the crates. The green wrap was perfect for small pottery pieces, and the bubblewrap was great to protect art. Looking forward to booking BoxUp again when we have to move!

This time around I didn't price shop- I have had good experiences in the past with West Side Movers and wanted to stick with a company I have come to trust. Matt easily generated a quote based on a list of my items. COIs for my current and new building were generated within hours of booking my move. Vadim, Stevo, and the driver showed up on time just before 0800. Over the past two moves I have accumulated way too much crap...but they kept good humor throughout. Stevo masterfully disassembled and reassembled a horrific ikea bed like it was nothing! They handled my bulky sectional with ease. They got my monstrous 8 foot long credenza in the perfect spot. They took better care of my trash picked furniture than I do! Not a single item was damaged. We did end up going into overtime, but I think it was reasonable considering the sheer mass of boxes and other items...not to mention taking apart and putting back together the giant storage bed and a glass dining table. Vadim and Stevo made a stressful experience secure, efficient, and pleasant. I feel confident in my decision to stay with WestSide Movers (and Stevo!) for move # 3.
