Made inquiry on Yelp for carpet steam cleaning, and this company contacted us almost immediately and were able to schedule a cleaner within a day or two. Cleaner called an hour before arrival, reviewed the site and discussed the price. Initial steam cleaning for the living room/dining room and hallway was one price. Additional shampoo, sanitizing, deodorizing, etc treatment was an additional price. We agreed to have everything done. Cleaner brought up his equipment and finished the project in less than two hours. Happy with results of our clean, almost like new carpet. Two days after drying, we noticed stains we hadn't seen before or during the cleaning process. Called back, sent photos and they said rescheduled within the week for a return. Midweek they called with a definite return trip. Cleaner re-cleaned the area. Very satisfied with the results! Saved us a lot of time!

That mistake turned into months of chaos. * The workers they sent arrived late, one of them showed up stoned (immediately reported to Jeri Rank, business developer manager), and during mitigation they actually burst a pipe in my apartment -- flooding my kitchen/living area and the apartment below. Their lame excuse was that the pipe "shouldn't have been there." This is a Manhattan building completed in 2007 by a top developer -- no excuse for such levels of incompetence. * They left my stove in an unsafe position with nails protruding from the floor and when they lifted my Viking range, they broke the ove's knob and thermostat. I had no oven for nearly three months until I paid $934 out of pocket to repair it myself, since ServPro's manager, Jeri Rank, refused responsibility. * Jeri Rank, knowing that I pay a very expensive insurance premium with ample coverage tried to upsell me and insisted that I had to move out and redo my entire 1,758 sq ft floor through their company (an upsell that would have ballooned costs into the hundreds of thousands). When I refused, they delayed repairs for weeks until their subcontractor "miraculously" found a nearly identical floor. * One of the subcontractors they hired dismantled the bottom drawer of my refrigerator to try and get to the damaged floor. In doing so, they broke parts of the fridge. It now leaks and has caused new buckling in my floor. * It is beyond clear that ServPro Ozone Park has no experience working in high-end apartments. Their workers and subcontractors demonstrated shocking carelessness and lack of professionalism throughout. * Their delays were outrageous: the water event happened March 17, they didn't send someone until April 10, and mitigation didn't even start until April 29. Meanwhile, my family and I were left living in a damaged apartment. * One day a sub blew the electricity in half my apartment. They just left it like that, and I had to call the trusted building electrician the next morning. He had to work from the electrical room in the basement to restore service -- yet another unnecessary disruption caused by ServPro's people. If you value your home, your time, or your sanity, avoid ServPro at all costs. I wish I had known I could have chosen a different company from the start.

I am not writing about the experience I had had with Anton as a whole. My complaint is with the…read morePublic Adjuster Larry M. As an adjuster he gets you the money from the insurance company that will cover your losses. But as a person of relaying information to you from the insurance company, he is a disaster . Had a fit in the Kitchen in Jan. 1021. Has a lot of smoke damage in which most of the contents of the house were emptied into a pod in the driveway. The pod needed a permit in which it was Larry's job as a Public Adjuster to advise the home owner to apply for a permit with the town. Larry M. did not do this. Blamed everyone for not acquiring the permit. Subsaquintly I was issued a summons on the pod which I fortunately had dismissed. The real resulting problem came right after this. I had to start repairing and replacing damaged items from the fire. With most of my belongings in the pod, it would have been a simple task. Had to replace carpeting with hard wood floors and to paint the entire house. The Insurance company adjuster told Larry M. that, because there were no permits issued on the pod, that the contents either had to be removed and placed into storage, or removed and placed into two rooms of my house. That is not how this wend down. I was told by Larry M. I had to get permits for the work to be completed on the house, which is a big lie, because there was no structural damage, and no plumbing or electrical work. Larry M. also stated to me that the contents had to be placed back into the house. I had no choice with the information relayed to me by Larry M. but to put the contents back into the 2 rooms. NEVER let Larry M. relay information to you. Get it directly from the horses mouth. This cost me months in which I could not start repairs. Now the contents has to be taken out by a contracted mover and placed into storage. The insurance company knows the truth as to what transpired and is paying for the removal and storage while the repairs are being done. Pictures of wall to wall boxes and furniture should be visible. I DO NOT recommend Larry M. to anyone attempting to hire a public adjuster from Anton Adjusting.

I'm a queens home owner and unfortunately where I live I have flooding due to heavy rain that backs up the sewers!! Guess where it backs up into???!!! Yep, you guessed it right into my basement. It's disgusting and very stressful!! You don't know where to start to clean up this awful mess. Well thank goodness I was lucky enough to call the right company, American Emergency Service. After contacting our insurance carrier, we were referred to ServePro of Garden City/Hempstead. Kelly and Tim promptly sent a team of two people to our home by 9:30 pm. They quickly assessed the situation, ensured all water was turned off to prevent further leakage and efficiently mopped up the water using highly effective shop vacs. They removed all wet carpet and padding, relocated furniture and personal belongs that were not wet and took out all wet items. They left six commercial grade fans and two dehumidifiers for three days to ensure everything was thoroughly dry. ServePro had a team of four people returned the next morning, which was Sunday to begin extracting all wet sheetrock and disinfecting the floor and wood studs. They ensued no wet items were left in our basement. Additionally, they were very efficient in taking pictures to document for the insurance company, which I also reviewed with them. I found these guys on Yelp with stellar reviews so I decided to give them a call. Raoul came by to give me an estimate and the price was good. Bonni was also very helpful. The day of the cleanout arrived and I was greeted by the junk removal crew, who removed my unwanted furniture and other large items that I wanted to discard. An hour later, Franklin and his cleanup crew arrived and they spent the next eight hours cleaning the apartment. They did a phenomenal job, they washed walls, even the ceilings. The inside of my refrigerator, stove and dishwasher look like I bought them yesterday. If I could, I would give them ten stars.
