Tim pre-ordered parts for my fridge based off of a phone conversation, (110.00) the fridge didn't…read moreneed the part ,I was charged for them and told if I wanted to return them it would have a restocking fee and freight charge so I wouldn't even get back 50 dollars. ( I was told this at the time of service, not the phone conversation) He walked into the house and immediately told me if it was froze up it wasn't covered under warranty, I advised him it isn't frozen up, the motor still engages, from everything I've looked up if its frozen it doesn't engage. We had also done a fridge buddy and used hot water as a process of elimination ourselves to make sure it wasn't frozen up. They started taking the fridge panel off and standing on my countertops with shoes on to take it off. It was a clogged water line into the fridge, how do I know this? Tim put the main fridge water line into his mouth and blew it out, no can of air or an air compressor, his germ filled mouth. The water/saliva went all over the interior of my fridge because he didn't have the new filter I bought attached to the fridge at the time. When he blew it out a 2nd time it choked him and he spit it out all over the top of my open and exposed fridge. (The top panel comes off and that's how the water inlet valve is accessed, that's the part I was charged for but didn't need). His apprentice asked where the cut off for water was. I opened up my sink area showing him the cut off. They asked if water was for sure on. I checked in the other room, (where the cut off is)when I came back in they were taking the filtration system under the sink apart. No mention of it being taken apart, didn't ask if I wanted it checked or wanted to check it myself. It had been checked in the process of elimination steps I mentioned previously, it's the cut off for the fridge water and the dishwasher. Separate lines but same source, both supplying water, doesn't matter which one is in the supply spot of the filter ,they both supply water. ( It had been hooked up and supplying water for the last 6 months, no issues) They had that thing apart and changed around before I could even ask what it was going to cost and claimed that was the issue,so nothing was under warranty. I asked if I could pay it later in the week, he said no it would have to be paid before they left. So a part I didn't need @ 110.00, out of town trip charge @ 200.00( he said over the phone he would be out Wednesday when he was in the area for other service calls) and mileage charges on top of the trip charge @ 234.50. Total @ 764.94 Then he states that the reason for the fridge not getting water was the filtration system, it's the same filter and water line for the dishwasher, the dishwasher was still working. It still had water, could it have been a clog in the water line at the fridge? They never checked to see if the fridge had water in between him blowing out the line and the unauthorized filter work. Could his hot germ infested breath have blown the clog out? I had to replace all of the water line from the cut off to the fridge and run a vinegar and hot water treatment to sanitize the line inside the fridge. ( I'm going through chemo and have no immune system, the lines were contaminated by his mouth, the inside of the fridge was contaminated by his mouth. Everything inside had little droplets of water or was it saliva on them? All replaced. This was a company recommended by Bosch warranty. The amount of sanitizing we had to do after they left was insane. I will be checking in with the BBB for unsafe practices performed. Will never recommend this company.
