DIRECT appliance was the first ones that actually had a person answer the phone not call me back. They had a opening. The next day came out fixed the refrigerator and charged a reasonable rate. We live south east of Amarillo so it was a hike for them to come Later in the year the freezer went out. I would have replaced everything, but they are an odd size and no longer manufactured. Ok, so this was the appliance service we called first to repair our refrigerator. The gentleman was…read morevery pleasant and was here the next day as promised. He took our refrigerator apart and determined that our fan motor was out and he needed to order one and would let us know when it was in to reschedule a time to install it. So we waited for a return call (crickets) ... and waited .... (Crickets). So my husband called him back again after the second week. He said the fan motor would be in Monday and he'd call and set up a time to repair it. Again (crickets)....we waited (crickets)....and waited (crickets). We tried calling numerous times with no response so called Circle N Appliance and they were in and out in a day. (You know where I'm going with this, right? Skip A-1 Appliance and go straight to the Cs for Circle N Appliance.) I gave A-1 Appliance 2 stars because he showed up on time and he didn't charge us anything but left our refrigerator in pieces. Why he didn't just tell us he couldn't fix it is beyond me. I mean, we wouldn't have been upset and we would have had our refrigerator up and running much sooner. ‍
