But all the dishes were so good and they loved it so much, we ended up ordering more to try. Agedashi tofu was something new we tried and loved, ordered twice. Definitely try the food, don't let the place fool you!

I loved my hibachi proteins; they were better and a lot larger portions than dedicated hibachi places. Everything was cooked great; the shrimp and tofu had a nice, semi crunchy sear on them, and the veggies and chicken were also flavorful and tender. The fried rice was ok; I didn't notice any egg. The food was ready super quick; I was very impressed how fast they got it all out (5/5). The interior is clean and simple (4/5). Overall, for a fast casual place, this is hard to beat!

Stopped by Seoul Korean Kitchen the other day to try their Jjajangmyeon and kimchi jjigae…read more Banchan 3.5/5: The kimchi was pretty standard, similar to what you would get from a decent brand at H mart. The bean sprouts were a bit salty. Chili cucumber was well seasoned and refreshing, and the sliced fish cake was the highlight with a slight sweet and sesame oil flavor. Each dish supposedly comes with a banchan, but if you eat with another person, then you get 1 set of banchan only with 1 refill and additional refills cost $2.50 which was different from most cities I have been to with a more established asian food scene (Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, etc). jjajangmyeon 4/5: The jjajangmyeon had decent portions. The noodles were really nice and chewy, and the sauce on top had a slight sweetness to it that made it different from the chinese jiajiang mian I normally eat. There were plenty of zucchini and onion pieces, and the pork was tender and just a bit fatty which I enjoyed. Highlight of the meal. Kimchi Jjigae 3/5: The kimchi jjigae comes with kimchi, tofu, and pork pieces in a stew and a side of rice. The stew itself comes out piping hot but is almost 90% kimchi and minimal tofu and pork. Very few pieces of tofu and pork, unlike the jjajangmyeon which had more generous amounts of pork. The rice bowl it comes with is quite small. We ran out well before the kimchi stew was completed, and they charge $2 for rice refills. Overall, the food was decent and service is solid. Pricing was slightly steep with a bowl of jjajangmyeon (noodles with stir fry pork sauce overlying) running at $19 and a bowl of mostly kimchi and a few pieces of tofu/pork pieces costing $17. Their banchan/rice refill policy is questionable, but the food scratches the itch in a city with a smaller Korean population and minimal competition.

Visited Hawaiian Style BBQ under the new ownership, and even though a few items I had enjoyed in…read morethe past were no longer available, it didn't take away from the overall experience at all. The food still felt authentic and full of true Hawaiian flavor. Coming from a family with roots in the Big Island and Maui, I can appreciate when a place captures that genuine island-style taste and atmosphere. One thing that really stood out was how they start you off with fresh in-house made pork rinds, similar to how Mexican restaurants serve chips and salsa when you sit down. It was a unique and welcoming touch. We ordered the spicy poke, Spam musubis, and a mixed BBQ plate with two scoops of mac salad. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The mac salad especially had that classic island-style taste that's hard to find done right. The staff was friendly, the decor looked great, and the restaurant had a warm, inviting feel. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for authentic Hawaiian comfort food.

It had that perfect char on the outside while staying incredibly flavorful and moist inside. Definitely the star of the meal. The chicken was just as impressive. Well-seasoned. Perfectly cooked. Every bite was tender with a hint of sweetness and that signature Hawaiian-style barbecue flavor that keeps you coming back for more. Don't overlook the rice. Soft. Moist. Buttery. It soaked up every bit of flavor from the meats and tied the whole plate together. Simple, but done exactly right. The restaurant was busy, which speaks to how popular it is. The staff looked a little overwhelmed during the rush, and you could tell an extra set of hands would've helped. Even so, everyone remained friendly, worked hard, and never let the quality of the food slip. If you're willing to be a little patient during peak hours, you'll be rewarded with a meal that's absolutely worth the wait. I came here for lunch today and paid $14.50 (I am originally from the metro Atlanta area, so this is a great price). There are a few caveats to consider, though! This is not your average buffet since it is centered around sushi. So that means the hot foods selection is scarce. If you are looking for that type of buffet, I would go elsewhere. Also, the selection of sushi may seem like a lot at first glance, but in reality there is only about a handful. A lot of the rolls are the same rolls with different names and different garnishes on top. There is a hibachi grill inside for you to customize your meal and a soup section as well. The desserts are as buffet-average as it gets. The staff is great for the most part; they'll pick up your plates and keep your area clean. Ambience. C Service. B…read moreFood. A Price. A+ When Happy House -- my go-to spot for Korean food in Augusta -- closed for summer vacation, I stumbled upon a hidden gem near Fort Gordon. It makes perfect sense that an authentic Korean eatery would thrive near a military base, and this one did not disappoint. Tucked away and unassuming, this tiny hole-in-the-wall has actually been around since 1999 -- a true mom-and-pop operation that feels like a well-kept local secret. Truly more of a takeout scenario... The food? Fresh, flavorful, and unmistakably authentic. All dishes cooked when ordered, so expect to wait... The Korean guy at register was very nice and helpful letting me use their bowls to eat in house... Just a heads-up: seating is extremely limited (think 8 people, max). And while the AC situation consists of a giant air blower with the doors flung open on a 90-degree day, it somehow adds to the charm. Pro tip: order takeout, or bring your own gochujang and dipping sauces -- otherwise, you'll have to purchase full-size bottles to use at the table (which you can take home). Quirky, no-frills, and absolutely worth it. Best Korean lunch deal in town!!! $9.99 Korean rice bowl lunch of meats with banchan and mandoo!!! And lots of sliced Kim Bap for $8!!! I'm a FaN!
