    Black pearl sushi roll
    Lori W.

Always hot and always a good price! We order the black pearl sushi roll and hibachi each time we go. The Washington Road location has our business now due to better customer service than the other location. Sushi averages 12-16 a roll and has fresh ingredients. Hibachi can average from 18-30. Tonight it was steak and scallops and they were fantastic! Due to the fact that they don't have to "put on a show" for cooking in front of you, the prices are a little less. They have increased their prices a little lately. Nice and quiet restaurant; definitely go for the food and not the ambiance.

Went for the first for my lunch break and just went in to order. The wait was a little longer to get my food "20 minutes," so don't be me and call ahead, but this was my first time and didn't have a menu. I ordered the gyoza and fried cream cheese and crab sushi, and omgosh, it was freaking delicious!!!! Definitely will come back here, but I will order ahead, lol.

So great!! Waitress was very nice and helpful. Got a very large amount of food for a great price!

Waitress's was very helpful!! So wonderful. Got a large amount of food for cheap! Hibachi came with soup and salad also!! We will definitely be back

Overall: 4.5 Service: 4.5 Food: 5 Value: 4.5 Atmosphere: 4 Come back again? YES! I love Toki! I have dined there for at least seven times now. I highly recommend their hibachi entrees, especially with teriyaki chicken. Their teriyaki chicken is the best I have ever had - it's so tender and full of flavor. Their portions are pretty large too, so it's good value! The food are not cheap but are not pricy either, and they taste amazing! Overall, this is my go-to restaurant for Japanese food and hibachi, and I would definitely come back again!

The sushi was as delicious as it was beautiful. Service was exceptional. If you love Sushi this is the place to go in the CSRA.

Small portion lunch sushi and roll. Just okay.

Always welcoming and pleasant service when I come in, however I'm just not a fan of tv's playing sports or music playing broadway tunes. It's really a good deal with most meals between $10- $18. For bento boxes or hibachi dinners. Most entrees will include a soup and salad. I actually like both dressings for the salad - so I order the white sauce and the ginger/carrot on the sides to use for whatever I'm eating. The grilled salmon in the bento box was just a tad dry for my liking. The rib eye and the scallop dishes were perfectly grilled as they were moist and flavorful. Rice and vegetables are nicely seasoned. I prefer the miso soup over the onion broth. Just more Asian flavorful experience. The sushi are nice sizes and freshly made. I like that the shrimp tempura was warm and crunchy inside the roll. If you want spicer, add wasabi on top of your bite and litely dip into your soy. I prefer this method of the roll rather than mixing the wasabi in with your soy. Much better flavorful bite of the roll you're eating. Just my palette opinion! I was taught this method from highly trained sushi chefs in Japan that adding wasabi to each bite and gently dabbing a little soy is a unique way to enjoy the flavor of whatever fish you are eating... Not doused with a soy/wasabi mixture! I got it! However, you eat it however you like... You paid for it! //// Update. June8 2021. 16 months away due to Covid19 And decided to try lunch. Service friendly. Albeit, I want too thrilled with small dish of lunch sushi and nigiri. Very small portions. And thought a little dry for the sashimi. House ginger dressing is good for salad. My friend ordered shrimp tempura. But it came out grilled shrimp. It's was edible. Not my favorite place after today.

The food still felt authentic and full of true Hawaiian flavor. Coming from a family with roots in the Big Island and Maui, I can appreciate when a place captures that genuine island-style taste and atmosphere. One thing that really stood out was how they start you off with fresh in-house made pork rinds, similar to how Mexican restaurants serve chips and salsa when you sit down. It was a unique and welcoming touch. We ordered the spicy poke, Spam musubis, and a mixed BBQ plate with two scoops of mac salad. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The mac salad especially had that classic island-style taste that's hard to find done right. The staff was friendly, the decor looked great, and the restaurant had a warm, inviting feel. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for authentic Hawaiian comfort food.

Service was quick to seat and take orders. Love they give complimentary pork rinds to snack on. Friends order masubi - spam nori wrapped rice. Nice. 3 for $9.50? I see different prices online vs menu. The shrimp tempura was okay for fried shrimp. And friends garlic fried chicken was good. I had the double meat plate. And wanted small but they charged me regular charged for $30. 3 slices of short ribs extra $6 up charge for 3 pieces ?! and 1/4 lb of pork belly bites. Also orders kimchee of cucumbers and cabbage. Nice flavors and not overly spicy. I do think they forgot to give me my rice. For $30. Thought this was a bit high for what I got. Food is delicious. Service. Good. Just not sure of how the portions are created for platters. My fiends dish for one items were under $15. Oh well...shall keep an eye on portions and prices in future. Will still go back but así es toy what get for the price I am paying. A. Small order vs regular order.

The aisles and restrooms were the cleanest of all the Krogers. Secondly, stock and inventory. The diversity of products supported with items being in stock was impressive. Granted this is a large Kroger, so they have more room, but to see rows and rows of the same item in stock while providing diverse item choices was simple impressive. Third, due to the size, they were offering sections you wouldn't see in a typical Kroger or grocery store. This Kroger even had a clothing section. Kind of reminded me of Target or Walmart (but better). Their bakery section and produce area were about the same as others, but definitely fresher. Plenty of parking and helpful staff roaming the aisles helping out customers or ensuring items were stocked. Definitely glad I decided to check this place out since it was so close by. The prices are definitely steep, even in comparison to somewhere like Publix. Whilst in the store, I saw several shady individuals smoking inside with backpacks on. Yet management didn't do anything about them. The second I exited the store I felt like I was going to get mugged. Some other shady individuals (whose pants were sagging) all were conjugating outside the entrance. One of them said to me, "Who you looking at N-slur." Another one asked, "What you have in the (grocery) bag N-slur" When I got to my car one of them was walking towards my car. Now I don't know if he was going to do anything, but the whole thing felt extremely sketchy. I wouldn't want to come back to the store unless they had some sort of security to keep thugs and rift-raft out. Because unless you want to be mugged, shopping here isn't a great investment!
