Kings Kitchen have a good variety of Cantonese food. I feel like in the 7-8 Avenue area, their food quality is slightly better. From BBQ meat, to clay pot rices and a lot of the typical rice, noodle dishes. I like how usually there isn't a wait and the service is decent. Take out wise, they usually run out of their BBQ meat close to 7pm, by 6pm the options are very limited.

Fried dough with rice roll was excellent. Super crispy fried dough stick. Special Combo Rice Claypot- we had preserved meat, frog, and spare ribs. Food was decent. Clean inside. Even on a week day, it was busy during lunch time. Seems like a lot of older locals eat here.

Kings Kitchen is well known for their BBQ meats (cold cuts) and claypot rice, and this location had their newer items... like Pandan cakes and other specials - braised meats. We've been to other branches, and this location feels smaller... tables feel on top of each other, no room to give... so keep that mind for your party size. Food - got an egg & meat patty + lop-churn claypot, was good, takes too long, so skip if you're like hungry. We got 2 congees - century egg and tang jia jook. Both are ok... 86th st and Chinatown branch makes it better... not sure why though. Also got the crispy veggie rice roll (delish) and 2 meats (roast pork & roast piggy - crispy skin!) very good. Overall, you'll have a great meal.

First time trying King's Kitchen at their new location. The place is definitely bigger than the old spot on 53rd St, which is nice. I got the roasted duck with flat noodle soup and pandan toast. The roasted duck noodle soup is always my go-to. The broth is hearty and comforting, just hits the spot. You'd think the duck would make it oily, but it doesn't at all. The flat noodles have a great chewy texture, everything just works together perfectly. The pandan toast was surprisingly good too. The spread wasn't too thick or too sweet, just enough flavor to go with the toast. Still the same great food, just in a bigger, more comfortable space.

Crispy Roasted Pork and Char Siu over rice

This is currently my go-to spot in Brooklyn for roasted meats since my favorite spot closed down. I love that their char siu and roasted pork aren't very fatty, but still tender and flavorful.

This newer Brooklyn location is a nicer and brighter take than the other two Brooklyn spots, though it's still tight inside with the same typical Chinese restaurant style service. Parking is tough around here, so driving in isn't the easiest. At the end of the day, it's a solid neighborhood spot with BBQ meats that hits every time, fresh rice rolls, and comforting individual clay pot rice. I liked the stir fry beef ho fun, and my go to's are the roast duck and shumai rice rolls. This location has added dishes like kaya toast, soft shell crab, roasted squab, skewers, lobster fried rice, and beetroot rice rolls, though I haven't tried any of those yet. I'll be back to try them. It's a reliable spot to grab a familiar, satisfying meal if you're in the area.

This restaurant is very close to subway and bus stop, however, it does not have parking lot. The restaurant is very small and not good for big groups. We had a party of four and our table was full and could not fit any more dishes once all our food came. People were sitting right next to you and behind you, so no privacy at all. The shrimp rice rolls were small in size even though the shrimps were decent size. The wonton noodle soup and roasted duck noodle soup were tasty. The egg noodles tenderness was about right and the soup base was good. The portion of the noodle was generous. The eel in the eel claypot was juicy, but the amount of rice and eel was very little. Unfortunately, one order was unable to fill up an adult. The service was not exceptional, but acceptable. Cash only, but sales tax was charged and no discount was given for cash payment.

If I can give 0 star, I will!!! This store kept some pieces from you, beware!! I was shopping half roast duck tonight and the cutter save a big piece of meat for later. If each half duck save a piece or two than 2 ducks can save another complete order for roast duck rice. I am paying others meat!! I found that and talk to the cashier, she denied it for sure and the cutter just ignored me and walk away. This store is chained and this is their another sunset park extension. Hired all mandarin speaking staff, I was so disappointed and angry! I know the owner many years, don't know they are not the same before! Never shop here again. Bad choice for me! I used to go for the 53rd and 8th Ave main store! They are the best! Beware, scammers are everywhere now!!

Cold Yeung Yuen

2026 Jun 28: 1) fish porridge 2) cha kuay teow 3) ell claypot 4) chicken salted fish rice to go 4) cold Yeung Yuen 5) black gold flowing sand to go. No idea what kind of fish was in the porridge but it seems to be pork. The cha kuay teow was cooked with curry, likely Hong Kong style but nowhere near Malaysian standard. The claypot is the best dish. Restaurant is full of local Cantonese speakers.

Claypot Rice: steamed meat with egg.

The Claypot Rice is so .... Good! Came out nice in hot temperature. Adding their soy sauce makes it more delicious. The rice at bottom is crispy. Highly recommended. Good for one person.

Came here on a recommendation to try their claypot rice. Unfortunately it was too late and they didn't have enough time to make it before they closed. We instead got wonton noodle soup, dumpling noodle soup, braised duck with chestnut over white rice and beef skewered and pork neck skewers. This place is sleek and very clean looking. The wonton noodle soup broth was good (wish it was a hotter), the egg noodles were bouncey and the wonton had a good ration of pork to shrimp. The dumplings in the soup were meaty and tasty too. The braised duck with chestnuts was different but good. Typical braised duck flavor. Should have been more meat than bones. The steamed beef rice rolls were not great. Will be back to try the claypot rice for what there known for.

I'm so happy that there's a Kings Kitchen near my neighborhood. Kings Kitchen is a popular destination for both locals and visitors. This place is affordable and portions are generous. Friendly and attentive service may encounter occasional wait times during peak hours due to its popularity. I highly recommend their clay pot yum. Overall, it's a great choice for authentic Southern cuisine. The ambiance at King's Kitchen in Brooklyn is casual and comfortable. And if you're craving for a drink nearby? You should stop by HEYTEA. It's located on 59th St & 7th Ave.

We had stir-fried snails, jellyfish, Dungeness crab, live steamed fish, braised eggplant with fish fillet, stir-fried cauliflower with preserved meats, coral shrimp, sliced conch with crispy tofu, beef with string beans, seasonal vegetables, and fish maw soup. Everything came out hot, delicious, and well seasoned. The Dungeness crab was a standout, and it was refreshing to enjoy such a wide variety of seafood and traditional dishes. My wife was pleasantly surprised by the entire meal. The interior was nicely done and felt different from many other Chinese restaurants in Brooklyn. Service was attentive, and they seated us in a corner where we could enjoy our family conversation without constant interruption. The food came out very quickly, maybe a little too quickly, but we were fine with it. They were unfortunately out of a few fish and clam options, as well as several wines, but it did not take away from a great dinner. Highly recommended for a family-style Chinese seafood meal in Bay Ridge.

Seemed fancier than other Chinese restaurants! Ordered a variety of dishes and they were all really large portions and well-prepared. None were overly salty or sweet, just right. My favorite was their chicken, eggplant and salted fish claypot dish. It's one of my favorite dishes in general and they made it very well. Definitely will come here more often and will rec my family to try this place out for our next family event.

My go-to answer when people ask for my favorite dim sum spot in NYC!…read more My family has been loyal to East Harbor (迎賓) near 8 Av Brooklyn since it first opened, back when my nephew was still a newborn, and he's going to college this year LOL. They even serve fresh tofu pudding (豆腐花) and ridiculously good fried black sesame balls (黑芝麻煎堆). These are two things I always look forward to whenever we come here. We've tried almost everything on their dim sum and à la carte menu, and the quality has been consistently good over the years. I just noticed they're actually listed in the Michelin guide. The wait can be over an hour on weekends, so I'd recommend getting here before 10:30am if you want to grab a table before the crowds roll in. My top picks: - Char Siu Pie 叉燒酥 - Deep Fried Meat Dumpling 鹹水角 - Char Siu Rice Roll 叉燒腸粉 - Fried Black Sesame Balls 黑芝麻煎堆 - Black Sesame Balls 雷沙湯圓 - Tofu Pudding 豆腐花 Other favorites: - Veggie Pork Bun 菜肉包 - Abalone Siu Mai 鮑魚燒賣 - Shrimp Dumpling 蝦餃 - Peking Style Pork Chop 京都骨 - Pan Fried Water Chestnut Cake 煎馬蹄糕 - Egg Tart 蛋撻

Pictured menu, thank you. Got some fairly standard Dim Sum, see pictures. Similar quality as the west coast. Abalone Sui Mai was the only different thing we tried from the west coast, not bad. Tea is $1.50 per person. Ambiance - A good size restaurant. Busy. Private rooms available. Of course, you can also rent out the entire restaurant for banquets. Open 7 days a week from 9am to 10pm. Service - Good. The cart team is fairly aggressive at suggestive selling. Price - $31 + generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 2009.

There was a wait list, tons of reservations, and the whole place was hustling and bustling. The food smelled amazing, and the ambiance was lively and fun overall. We were excited to eat! We were walk-ins, so I appreciated that they were able to get us in. The hostess was running a very tight ship - very "no BS"/no nonsense ... and hey, I get it, it was crazy, but at times it erred a bit unnecessarily rude? It just left me feeling a bit off, but not the end of the world. Food-wise, we tried a lot of different things. The highlight was honestly the scallion pancakes. They were DELISH! Not too doughy, not too dry, and the vinegar dipping sauce was amazing (I know it's just the standard vinegar but dang it's so good). It was a classic really well executed. The steamed pork dumplings were also quite yummy. For our mains, we got the garlic baby bok choy, beef chow fun, and kung pao chicken. The beef chow fun looked amazing and we had heard really good things about it, but unfortunately it was a little dry and lacked flavor... just sort of bland? We ended up pouring some of the vinegar sauce over it, which helped, but I was a little disappointed because it looked so good. The baby bok choy was really loaded it up with garlic chunks and was also yummy and a good portion. It was juicy and had a great texture, but my only note was that it felt like it needed just a little more seasoning or salt? Overall, though, it was good. The kung pao chicken was INTENSE. I knew it'd be spicy, but truthfully it was my first time ever trying it and it was a tad difficult to eat without rice. The chicken thighs had a texture that felt a little gummy to me? I wished the chicken had been a bit more browned too. The peanuts and veggies rocked, but the sauce and chicken were huge misses for us. I typically would never send anything back, but my friend insisted as it was tough to enjoy. They did take our dish from the table... but then a manager brought it back and was a bit condescending towards us saying they didn't do that and everyone knows it's a spicy dish... which, I'm trying to be fair about because he didn't know it was my first time, but it just again felt unnecessarily rude. I hate wasting food, so we kept it and took it home rather than let it go to waste. I just thought the whole interaction was a little strange. Truly - I wasn't really looking to get something for free. We just didn't enjoy the dish and were trying to figure out what our options were and it basically felt like he just came over to make us feel small instead of problem solving together. Weird. I'm always one for second chances so I'm hoping to try it again, but I would highly recommend making a reservation to ensure a calmer experience.
