It's not a large store, but they have a wide variety of imported Scandinavian food, some local baked goods and a variety of meat that's packaged to order. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to go so close to Christmas on the weekend? I'm not sure if it's always that busy or not, but the parking lot was full and there was a lot of people in the store. We picked a few treats to try and got a frozen package of their Swedish meat sausage (I didn't see the potato sausage). We also decided to try their bratwurst and ordered some of that at the meat counter. We enjoyed our purchases, we loved the bratwurst and the Swedish meat sausage was good, but we definitely would have preferred the potato sausage that I grew up eating. I'm not sure when we'll make it back because it was a really long ride just for that, but I would definitely recommend it and I'd shop there regularly if I lived closer.

We got the weisswurst and the knockwurst and cooked them in a homemade beer sauce. they were delicious. It is a little pricey for how much sausage you get, but it is imported so that's understandable. We also got the frozen schnitzel, which was also really good. We put it in the air fryer and it made for a quick weekday lunch. The service was pretty good- staff seemed friendly and knowledgeable. I don't think I would go out of my way to come here, but if i'm in the area sometime I'd love to stop by again.

The cocktail I got was fine; I could make a slightly worse version at home at a fraction of the price (or even two at once!). We we were told later by a friendlier Salemite at a bar with a better vibe that there is a Massachusetts state law that prohibits having two drinks at once at a bar. Fair enough. Had our server told us that, unfortunately, he wasn't allowed to give us two drinks at once -- instead of making us feel like idiots/degenerates for daring to ask -- we probably would have dropped a lot of vacation money there that night.
