    Ellie's salad w/steak
    Tom B.

One of the best additions to Wakefield in years. From the panini sandwiches to the pasta dishes, there is no weak link on the menu. The portions are so huge that the employees remind you to be careful when carrying out your salad, as the lid can barely hold all the lettuce and protein together. Carrying a bag of three items is genuinely a workout. I kid you not--the salads and rice bowls amount to two and maybe three servings. For how well they feed you, each item is a bargain.

We had an excellent Pepperoni pizza there! It's located where Phuket used to be, just off the square. so parking isn't an issue.

We went last night for a casual family dinner. My FIL chose it because he heard it was owned by Dan…read moreMarino and thought it was cool. It's spacious, has lots of memorabilia on the walls. It feels like a sports bar but the bar area is small and instead has a brick oven for pizza. The food was great - pizza was cooked well and tasted good. The salad had a little too much dressing, but that was minor. The garlic knots were really good - clearly made on site and loads of garlic which we love. I have young kids so they went for the Nutella pizza for dessert. I wasn't sure how it would come out, but it was really good! The strawberries gave it a lighter sweetness and balanced the Nutella. The meal itself was great. The facility itself could use some attention. The bathrooms were a bit dingy and the stall doors had holes in them - covered by cardboard for privacy but replacing or fixing the door would be the better option.

Convenient, but the area can get backed up with wonky individuals when it comes to driving. The review is about pizza though- the main attraction of Anthony's. We usually sit at the bar and there is an outdoor covered-seating option as an extension of the bar which is pretty nice. Indoors doesn't stand out a lot as far as mood goes- it is standard fare but slightly above that I'd say. Honestly I find it a little on the darker side for my liking. The staff are usually nice though sometimes we get a few screwballs. Typically there's regulars we get at the bar and they are good people- particularly Joey. They should give that guy a raise I'm pretty sure he is a manager. The food- which has mainly been the pizza we have had, is amazing. It's fresh and oven fired in house and the taste reflects that. You can customize your pizza as much as you like and staff are happy to oblige. We usually do a custom garlic, chicken and white pizza- which I highly recommend. They have lunch deals too if you're in around that time and frequently send emails for pizza deals during the week which is a nice plus. Overall you should definitely go if you haven't yet- it beats the average house of pizza by a long shot.

For my most recent experience, I called in my order directly with Nicks and picked it up. The service was good and quick! Took them no time at all, and the sandwich was ready right in line with what they said to expect timing wise - they were actually bagging it up as I walked in! The staff were friendly and polite. The sub was great - warm, tasty, and as expected. For me, the large was big enough to split (with someone or in two sittings). Nicks is in a good, easy to get to location. They do have parking, but note that the lot is a little small and on the corner of a busy intersection/set of lights. All of my experiences thus far have been positive and I look forward to my next order!

We've ordered…read morefrom here a couple two, three times and every one of those orders simply leaves more to be desired. It just could be so much more. Most recently ordered a large sub which was not dressed whatsoever and was a medium at any other sandwich spot. Asked for it toasted, and toasted, it was not. Second sandy was a sub that we requested to be in a wrap - when we went to pick it up we were scolded and told that we need to order a large sub if we want it in a wrap (now how would we know this?). We were also told that they do not have spinach wraps, again as if we should know. Don't most places call if they have questions on a request and not sass their customers? We're just trying to get chicken salad in a wrap. Chicken salad was nothing special and the wrap was constructed in a way where all of the toppings are hanging on one side of the road while the main honcho is on the other - it just doesn't work for the bites! Could be better, sadly hasn't shown up to prove it yet.
