"Bruschetta." Thick slices of sesame seed bread with lukewarm congealed cheese and one tomato.

Service: Great. Food: Terrible. Ambiance: Lighting is overly harsh. Change your bulbs please. I think this is one of Reading's only restaurants that have been able to survive, so they have a following. But the food is terrible. You might go there to meet up with friends but don't expect any classic Italian dishes. Our wedding soup was cold with large chunks of barely cooked spinach, and our "bruschetta" consisted of congealed cheese and one tomato on an enormous soft piece of sesame seed bread. The chicken parm comes with a dish of Prego style sauce and ziti. The cherry in top of this terrible meal was the crusty glass my red wine was served in. Not worth your time or money.

Visited Cafe Capri for family birthday party! I haven't been to Cafe Capri in a long, long time. I would say close to 20 years. I have always been a fan just not geographically close as I use to be. We had a party of 9. We got there a different times so we started with some drinks and waited to order when everyone arrived. It was dinner time so it was a busy time....lots of peoople in and out picking up orders to go. They were hopping around the bar and all the tv's had games on, including the preview of the MNF game. Certainly a good vibe. We ordered 4 pizzas (2 cheese, 2 pepperoni, a chicken finger dinner and a caesar salad) all of the food came out at the same time, which is always nice. The food was hot and looked great....see pics! We all were very pleased with the food as it was devoured with one slice of pizza left! The service was great...although she was up against it with a table of 9 plus, I am sure, other tables! We all left pleased and full...which is always a good thing! 5 stars and I will be back before I left another 20 years slide by! PS: Plenty of parking....price was great!

*Covid 19* First time here, I don't go to reading often place give me hives but my husband said this place hads good pizza. So we grab a pizza and some Zella sticks. Both were yummy. I really loved the crust, we did ask for well done. I would definitely order again. I'm not sure if they do delivery or not, but the pizza was yummy.

Food Review: Chicken and The Pig - Lynnfield Market Street…read more 525 Market St, Lynnfield, MA 01940 Chicken and The Pig is a solid spot for comfort food, offering a great selection of beer and some seriously good eats. Whether you're craving a fried chicken sandwich, a hot dog, or some crispy tenders, this place delivers. What We Ordered: Nashville Hot Chicken (9/10) House-made apple slaw, homemade spicy pickles, and their Nashville Hot sauce--this sandwich was a winner. It had just the right amount of heat, perfectly balanced with the slaw and pickles. If you're into spicy but don't want to set your mouth on fire, this is for you. The House Dog (8/10) A quarter-pound hot dog topped with chopped bacon, grilled onions, and a spicy brew-style pub mustard. The bacon and onions added a smoky, savory depth that made this a standout choice for hot dog lovers. Simple, classic, and well-executed. Buffalo Chicken Tender Basket with Fries (9/10) As a buffalo chicken girl, I have high standards--and this one passed with flying colors. Packed with flavor, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and served with fries, these tenders didn't disappoint. They don't mess around with their chicken here! Special Chicken Pesto (9/10) A crispy (or grilled) chicken cutlet with fresh mozzarella, tomato, and house-made pesto (nut-free). The pesto was flavorful without overpowering the other ingredients, and the mozzarella added the perfect creaminess. They NEED to make this a permanent menu item. Chicken Three Way (8/10) Crispy chicken topped with James River BBQ sauce, mayo, and American cheese, served on a grilled brioche bun. A solid sandwich with a smoky-sweet BBQ kick, though it didn't quite beat the pesto chicken for me. Cookie Dough Sundae No better way to finish off a meal than with their cookie dough sundae. Sweet, indulgent, and just what you need after all that savory goodness. Overall Ratings: Food: (9/10) - They know their way around fried chicken and hot dogs. Ambiance: (5/10) - Cute but nothing fancy; it's more about the food than the vibes. Affordability: (9/10) - In 2025, finding a great sandwich for under $15 is a win. Most of these ranged from $11-$13, which is a great deal for the quality. Final Thoughts: Lynnfield's hometown spot didn't let me down! Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or sitting down with a beer, Chicken and The Pig is a great go-to for comfort food done right.

The menu? Vast. Like, "do-I-need-a-compass-to-navigate-this" vast, with plenty of options. It's always amusing to me how different parts of the U.S. have their own regional food quirks (like here in MA, where steak tips, roast beef sandwiches, and open-faced turkey sammies reign supreme). I was stuck between a couple of local specialties, but our delightful waitress, Haley, steered me in the direction of the Thanksgiving turkey sandwich, mentioning they roast a turkey every day (cue angels singing). I swapped out the fries for onion rings, because, duh! This sandwich? It could have fed a small village. It was a beast. A delicious beast, but an unwieldy one. I ended up abandoning the bread for the good stuff and tackled it with a knife and fork. All in all? Absolutely scrumptious. Bonus points for the bathrooms, which were clean as a whistle, and fear not! If you're afraid of missing the a Celtics 3 pointer or a Red Sox baseball toppling over the "green monstah" while nature calls, there's a giant screen perfectly viewable from the toilet. Yes, you can literally watch the game while you pee. Talk about a win-win situation!

Fast forward to tonight and she did the same thing - told me I was being too loud at the bar when everything was fine. Told her it was a bar not a library and she mocked me that I was being a baby. Will NEVER go to Local 438 again (live in the area and go there twice a month at a minimum) and will make sure to spread the word. And for the record, some random guy next to me earlier in night said when Mary doesn't like you, she's incredibly unpleasant and unprofessional. So I know it's not just me. Good job Local 438 - lost a semi regular customer for life.

That is not too long ago. I've always got my orders delivered..... it was pretty great. So I can't wait to dine in one day to get it fresh out the oven for the best experince. Typically I got the large pizza and wings.....My first batch of wings were EXCELLENT. I ordered the wings 2 more times it tasted like they were either taken strait out of the trash or were from 2 days prior which shocked me. Nothing here is cheap , it's very premium priced. So you would really expect the BEST. I did not get their best. Not sure if they saw the destination was the was a urban area and they sent me that crap intentionally IDK, IDC. No excuses when I'm paying. I definetly will not be ordering wings via delivery again EVER! They can send that garbage to another sucker in the supply chain. I penalized their pizza rating and earned star rating because of my bad experiences. ....it is what it is. STEP THE GAME UP HERE.
