Thank you my friend. Well, I had to see it for myself. I came here this past weekend. This bakery is located in The Square Shopping Center in Rosemead. It's right on the left side after you enter through the glass doors before you head over to the Great Wall Supermarket. I saw an 8 inch Green Tea Ice Cream Cake for $45. I asked if they had a smaller size or even by the slice, but they don't have either. Oh well. Ice cream cakes require a freezer or be eaten as soon as possible. I was not near a freezer nor did I have the capacity of people to eat it right away. I'll have to figure out something next time to make it happen. You know I will LOL. Anyway, I walked around to check out the other pastries. It's not a very big bakery. I feel the pastry selections are quite limited IMHO. Their sponge cake is very small, but I still bought one. I also got a cream filled bun and two baked pastries... one with black bean filling and another with taro filling. At the time we were visiting, they had limited baked goods left for the day since it was near closing time. I ended up buying $14+ worth of bread and sweet buns. Prices were okay nothing extremely high. European mochi taro bun was very light and good... good amount of filing and not too sweet. Oat Raisin Walnut bread was warm and fresh... very fluffy and tasty! I haven't tried the Walnut Tarts yet. Two lady staff members were super friendly and helpful. One lady spoke Cantonese/Mandarin and the other lady just spoke Mandarin. They were trying to get us to buy more stuff, but we didn't bite. Glad we got a few baked goods for the road. The timing initially made me nervous, but fear not-they're on top of things and your cake will be ready as promised! The folks at Fortune Bakery were so friendly and accommodating. Joe was totally game to take on my design requests (orange and white roses with vines; Chinese character for double happiness) and even offered to open up the bakery early on Saturday morning so we could pick up the cake and deliver it to our venue nearby in Pasadena (note: you must arrange for your own cake pickup). We ordered a vanilla with strawberry sheet cake for our guests (fed 75 guests with plenty leftover) and a single layer 7"inch vanilla with mango cake for us to display/cut.
