Used to ooze the ethos, now sells the pathos. Bit of a shame. Not the kind of place to have a line, now sells nostalgia for a premium and added ooonze ooonze music to create a club vibe.

We came here with some local DC people. I didn't know what to expect when we walked down the stairs. They give you a koozie with your first round. Great advertising!. They have a large menu, which included a beer and shot combo. Also a great idea. I love that they had a bookshelf filled with games. Part of our group enjoyed a "heated" game of trouble

Been coming here for years. Best bar, best bartenders. Who doesn't love an underground bar playing old movies and serving popcorn? All the bartenders are phenomenal, but Tracey seriously hits it out of the park. Never felt more comfortable or welcomed in a DC bar. Whether I come here solo or with friends, she never makes me feel alone. This place checks all the boxes, and Tracey never misses a beat.

This is a great bar on 14th street with great vibes! It wasn't too crowed, the bartenders were attentive, and the drinks/deals were good! They have happy hour until 8pm every day, you can bring in your own food, and they have a selection of board games to play! My friend and I had a great time here on a Saturday night, without feeling like we were getting stepped on and piled on top of each other at a bar. The only downside to the night we went was that their popcorn machine was broken, so we could not get free popcorn.

Came here for Bingo night on Monday at 8-10PM hosted by DC Fray. We came in around 7:30 and got a good table. The bartender was friendly and a rail drink was only $5 during happy hour!!! Bingo was free and so much fun! They give out great prizes like drinks and food. Lastly, who does love some free popcorn.

Cozy little bar with unlimited popcorn. We went to bingo night, we had a total blast. We even got free shots. The bartender was nice, I was adventurous enough to try a new drink and he told me that if I ended up not liking it, he could exchange it for something else. If you just want to go out for some drinks this is the perfect place to go.

Great selection of beers and cocktails! And don't forget to get some popcorn with all the fixins - Sriracha + parmesan is awesome!

The bartenders(Sam and Jay)were also very attentive and sucked me into TWO more rounds with some tasty canned wines!

Come for the drinks, stay for the vibes. I was visiting from out of town and hear this rooftop bar…read morewas a good spot to check out and I was not disappointed. The views were perfect and the service was just as good. Good spot for groups or a celebration with friends!

What an...interesting experience…read more This bar sits on top of the Moxy Hotel, which is a sleek, modern spot in downtown DC. Unfortunately, getting to the rooftop was one of the most frustrating parts of the night. Access is only through the lobby, and the security team handling crowd control was completely disorganized. We were constantly being redirected with conflicting instructions: told to line up around the bar, then yelled at to move to the wall, then called to the elevator, then scolded for approaching it. It felt chaotic and unnecessarily hostile, like we were being managed instead of welcomed. To make things worse, IDs were checked multiple times (3-4 times per person) because there was no clear or centralized process. We were attending a birthday party that the venue itself had advertised on Instagram with ~75 guests expected at 9pm. When we arrived, we were told the rooftop was "closed" until 10. After waiting an hour in the lobby bar and dealing with the confusion above we finally got upstairs...only to find it already packed with people who had clearly been there for hours. The "reserved section" for our group was extremely underwhelming: a small space directly in front of a very loud DJ booth and a cold back corner where the heat lamps didn't work (and staff said there was nothing they could do). Service was just okay...no one was particularly friendly, but orders were eventually filled. The bar was oddly limited (only one beer option: Michelob Ultra), and some bartenders seemed unsure about basic drink requests (like a vodka soda with pineapple). The biggest issue came when we asked for the birthday cake we had given to staff earlier for storage. No one knew where it was. It took over 30 minutes and multiple staff members to locate it, and when we finally left for the night, the cake box was damaged beyond use with no remorse. Overall, this is much more of a crowded, club-style rooftop than a place for a planned event, dinner, or even conversation. The view is nice, but the experience didn't match the hype. If you go, expect a party vibe and minimal service and be prepared to navigate some very confusing (and inconsistent) security direction.
