When I initially reached out, Jay was a bit occupied with other jobs and said that he would contact me back, and he did just that within a day. Most contractors wouldn't remember to call back, but Jay was great at communicating when he'd be able to come by. When he arrived, he was very thorough to check each part of the HVAC unit and talk me through it. He showed us all the potential problems that could be causing our HVAC issue and why. He also gave us tips to manage air ow (especially during the summer) and prevent mold in the ducts. He explained everything in laymen's terms which was very helpful. Now we need another one done, and Jimmy, one of their techs, came out to do a fall system check and noted that our second HVAC system was getting towards the end of life and that maybe we should schedule an evaluation to assess the system further and get estimates for a new system upstairs, as the downstairs unit was replaced about 2 years ago. We called and scheduled Jimmy to come back; he did, assessed the system, and gave us some estimates and options based on the information he gathered when he initially came out. We are contemplating having them replace the system despite the cost, as Jimmy explained that the price will only go up and never go down. Logan's Mechanical misdiagnosed my 2022 furnace, claiming the gas valve was defective when the real issue was corroded gas burners. They quoted $500 for a valve that retails around $200, and a total of $1,500 for the replacement which is extremely expensive based on standard pricing. They also failed to check whether the unit was still under warranty. If I had approved the repair, the actual problem would have remained and I would have paid $1,500 for nothing. I tried to resolve this directly, but the supervisor said he would call "when he has time." It has now been about a week with no follow-up, only contact from assistants. I recommend getting a second opinion before approving any major repairs here.
