Well, I don't know if it's new owners, or what, because when I see the negative reviews, I can't understand it. Our experience at this take-out place was so surprisingly excellent, atet I would give it 5 stars except that I would need to visit it more, at different times, just to see if it's always that good! We had so many different selections, and all were very, very good. Hot and Sour Soup, Cold Sesame Noodles, Steamed Dumplings, Shrimp and vegetables, Orange Chicken - a particular standout, 'General's' Chicken, and more, but it was all so good. This is the best Chinese take out in nassau county. The restaurant is family owned and the owners are wonderful people. I order a few times weekly or try to. Food was good, delivery was fast. This was our first time ordering. We had Beef and broccoli- loved it, egg rolls were good and NOT greasy! The pork fried rice was tasty as was the egg drop wonton so! I wasn't a fan of the cold sesame noodles they were hot and had a strange flavor unlike I've had before, and the sesame chicken was very very mushy. We will order again! Tonight was the first time I tried the food here.. We decided to only try a few starters We tried the rice soup , the shrimp toast and the dim sum The rice soup was really good!! So was the shrimp toast .. My husband who usually doesn't like Chinese food ( he's the only human I think who doesn't like Chinese food btw) liked it .. In fact he dint leav me any.. Was a bit disappointed with the dim sum though.. The sauce they pour on top it ( dark brown colored ) was wayyyyyyy too salty .. Solid Chinese takeout place. The portions here are very generous. King Wok is one of the better Chinese places around the Plainview/Hicksville area. I ordered vegetable egg foo young combo with vegetable fried rice and it's pretty darn good. The fried rice is the best I've had in awhile. Tried king wok based on prior yelp reviews. Sorry to say that I do not agree with the majority. Egg drop soup was not good & the vegetable tofu soup wasn't either. We ordered to chicken in garlic sauce, four Seasons & steamed chicken & Chinese vegetables. All the food is extremely bland & tasteless. Big disappointment. Don't think I'll be going back. read more

This has been my family's go-to Chinese restaurant for about 10 years now, we've even moved away and come back for it because it's Better than anything where we are now. We all have different tastes in my house and they cover everyone, my brother gets their pork buns and chicken noodle soup, my mom gets the ribs and egg foo yung, and I usually either get general tso chicken, hunan chicken, shrimp lo mein; in fact I've probably tried half the menu at this point, and I have yet to find something that isn't a quality dish! read more

Probably the best Chinese food I've ever had delivery from! I've lived in Queens, Manhattan, and now Nassau and this was the best I can remember. I ordered for a group of four and we got the egg fo yung(?), chicken w/ garlic, beef w/ peppers/onions, chicken lo mein, and General Tao's chicken. Food was plentiful and not greasy at all! Tried this place the other day. The food was good and decently priced. I got the chicken and mixed vegetables and a couple of egg rolls. The chicken and mixed veggies came with a ton of chicken and all the different types of veggies that you would expect. They weren't skimpy with the portion at all which is awesome. This was my first experience with King Wok. We've had all the others and we're still looking for quality. How is it possible that all the Chineese food in Plainview is lame ? I started with a egg roll which was OK but not the best I'd had ( as was the spring roll ) , but their steamed dumplings were very good ! I tried the Hunan Beef, RP Chow Mei Fun and the Chicken & Broccoli. All of the entrees were very good. I definitely will be back to try more of their menu. read more

Mostly a take out place. They have the standard formica tables just in case you want to eat in, not too inviting. Been trying various dishes for take out- portions are HUGE, prices reasonable. They have a "diet menu" with steamed vegetables. I've tried the shrimp with mixed vegetables, very good. Got nine fairly large shrimp and a nice selection of vegetables. They include sauce of your choice on the side, I usually take the brown. Have also tried their General Tso's white meat chicken. It is excellent! Usually we have enough for two very generous portions. Of all the chinese places in the area, this is my current favorite. I'd recommend giving it a try. read more
