I had a very disappointing experience at the King Soopers Pharmacy. I stopped by to pick up a prescription for my wife, who is pregnant. One of the employees told me the pharmacy was about to close for lunch and would reopen at 1:30 PM. I completely understood and told her that was totally fine. I only asked if she could quickly check whether my wife's insurance information was already in their system so I would know if I needed to bring it when I came back. She checked and told me the insurance was not on file and that we could add it later when I returned. I thanked her and began walking out. However, as I was leaving, she started complaining and shaking her head in frustration about my question because they were about to go to lunch -- even though the pharmacy was still open at that moment. The reaction felt unnecessary and unprofessional, especially since I was polite and respectful. When I addressed her behavior, she responded with "I'm very sorry for you," which only made the interaction more uncomfortable. Several of her coworkers witnessed the situation. Just had such great customer service at this pharmacy. Don, the pharmacy technician was super nice, efficient and very helpful. Went to pickup a script for a family member. The script was sent to different pharmacy. He called them to see if they had it. They didn't. Next he checked supply at both his store and the other stores in region all to no avail. I enjoy shopping at this KS when I'm in the area , the store is very clean and almost always stocked. A quick tip would be to avoid coming on the weekend because that is when they are low on inventory especially on produce. All the employees here are very nice. One awesome thing about this particular store is their clearance section on the left side of the store near the pharmacy and their bakery clearance section. They do the same with meat & produce. Low price sales all the time. Today I found chips that I've been on the hunt for , it's been about 3 weeks and they are sold out everywhere, King Soopers to the rescue. Where do I start? Who ever manages the store and Pharmacy... fix your drive through and hire more people. You cant go to the drive through 2 out of 3 times. I'm in a line of 20 people backed up to the registers. They are constantly under staffed but this has been for 3 months now. I'm not getting my prescriptions on time. This is our favorite grocery store that is close to us. We always find what we need, the produce is fresh, and the checkers are always helpful and nice. There is a gal in the deli who is friendly and always slices just right! And there is one bagger who is amazing at bagging. I try to get in his line. Oh it's a thing! He is very thoughtful at how he packs and he puts proper things together in your bags, which makes it super easy when you get home to put things away. Thumbs up! read more

This review is specific to the deli. Previously I preferred Kings deli fried chicken over KFC. But I am feeling differently now. I purchased an 8 piece box. Not only was the chicken just stuffed haphazardly on the box. But when I arrived home I found the chicken very poorly cooked, very greasy, crust was more streamed than fried and falling off of the chicken. Very disappointing. We just started using King Soopers as this seems to be one of the major grocery stores in the greater Denver metro area. Specifically we use the one on smoky hill road as that is the closest location to where we live. When we first walked into the store I was astonished at how big the store is and the large selections of produce, meats, etc. Additionally they have one of the best cheese selections I have ever seen! Every time I go in there it takes all of my effort to not buy every single type of cheese. Also, the prices for members are fantastic. They have great deals on most items. And lastly the staff is friendly and were very helpful getting us setup with a membership card and explaining the store and how it works. As long as I am living in this area this is the store I will keep coming to. read more

This store is my definite favorite of our nearby King Soopers. Always plenty of fresh veggies, fruits, and meats in stock and the employees are all very considerate and helpful. I don't even mind driving the extra few minutes past my nearest KS because I just like the quality of this store. We just moved to this area 4 months ago and happened to find a nice patio dining set on display at the store that was perfect for our backyard. It was a fantastic price too since we got a membership. We knew our car wouldn't be big enough to hold it so we made a request from customer service for a delivery. Also requested if they could assemble it too. They were able to do both for us with an additional $20 fee. Very reasonable. They did have a complication with their delivery truck on the first day they were supposed to deliver it, but they were nice to call me with many apologies and we pushed it back to the next day. Prompt service the next day, the set was fully assembled as requested, and the delivery employees were very nice and helpful! read more

In times like these, service and kindness are especially important. Historically, King Soopers has a reputation of having great, helpful employees. Today was an exception: Jimal put that reputation to an end. As a checker, he's the last point of contact for a customer, so you'd think he would understand the importance of a greeting and a smile. He offered neither. Didn't say one word during our transaction. Very disappointing. I think he was having a bad day. Or bad life. He THREW our receipt at us! Shame on him. I'm sure there are lots of people who would happily work here and demonstrate appreciation for customers. He needs more training. Never more than one bagger in sight with at least 4-5 open lanes. Baggers have literally left to god knows where in the middle of bagging or just walked away after finishing the customer before us. No explanation or anything! I'm all for doing the work of King Soopers' employees....for a discount! It's not the customers' fault King Soopers can't keep baggers employed!! Managers will also stand around watching as customers bag their groceries while doing absolutely nothing. I am continually disappointed by this King Soopers. Every time I do a scheduled grocery pickup it's not ready (was told to wait in my car for two hours??) and today I called to verify my prescription was ready and they said yes it's ready at 3pm. This King Soopers is truly amazing. It's like an upscale Walmart!! Clothes, furniture items, great deli. And it's so clean!! Though it's brand spankin' new, so I guess as with all King Soopers' we need to give it time to marinate. Since I live right around the corner, I'd probably shop here all the time. BUT, the prices are amazingly high. I'm sure it has to do with location, property taxes, and the general clientele. But geez! I sometimes stop at the KS by my office in DTC, or I might stop at the other Smoky Hill location and their prices are similar to each other. I always have to bag my own groceries even if there is a manager and a spare employee nearby. They should be offering me an employee discount by now. For a grocery store this one knocks it out of the park. Huge, well lit, aisles that are wide enough to pass others, great variety of products, and very friendly people working there. Right after it opened my mother needed to order flowers for a funeral and the floral department did an amazing job. I love this store! They have the freshest fruit and vegetables. Meat selection is good and quality is great! It is so convenient to have the home goods at the same location, it means less stops for me! The only problem I have had at this store is on several different occasions I have not received all my bags and don't realize till I get home and go to look for the items. It's hard to believe that this is just an ordinary grocery store, as it has a boutique feel the minute you walk in the door. I especially would like to mention the floral department, as it is always fresh, and constantly artistically displayed. The floral manager greets every person who walks in the door with a cheery smile. I must mention that she really knows her inventory, and can advise you on what to plant in your garden, as well as creating beautiful arrangements for your home! On several occasions I have purchased ready made arrangements, and she has taken the time to re-wrap them, trim off the withered petals and freshen the bouquet. This floral department is not just a grocery store flower section, it's an affordably priced boutique, which is capable of doing custom events, grand scale weddings (AND the entire prom for the two local high schools boutonnieres!) each year their holiday decorations look like something out of the Martha Stewart magazine!
