I stopped in here to pick up some basics, and this store had them. The place was clean, well stocked, and the aisles were wide and easy to navigate. I showed up just before closing and didn't have time to browse around much. Over the loudspeaker, the evening manager addressed the customers and made us laugh, saying something along the lines of "Attention shoppers, the store will be closing in 20 minutes and I have a strict cry-into-my-pillow-at-night schedule, so please bring your purchases to the front for checkout." I saw this manager on my way out and he looked like a very cool guy, with a casual, friendly attitude. I see other folks have had bad experiences here, but mine was fine. I'd come here again. read more

Very Long lines at every store employee check out lane and every store self check out lane. Store clerks are very slow. The store clerks allow those who are using cards to paying with either EBT's or Debt's to hold up the lines while they keep trying their cards that keep giving those customers $0.00 balance receipts over, and over, and over, and over, and over again and again. If you decide to shop here bring entertainment because it will take hours away from your life literally!!!! read more

If I could give this shit store negative stars I would!!!! Horrible customer service, RUDE customers, and carts that lock before you can even get to your car! Shop elsewhere....it is not worth any of the stress shopping here...I hate this King Soopers!!!! read more

Moody and lazy management which bully and demoralize the staff to try to rationalize their actions.... Every single dept head and manager is miserable and it reflects on their own team and customer service! read more

I was in a long grocery checkout line and people behind me looked and walked away fast as if they knew something. The slow clerk with a BIG smile offered to help me put groceries in my own bag and I thought that was nice. THEN at home I discovered that the clerk (MS ERMA: do you know her?) had STOLEN 4 packs of tuna from my purchase. Well no wonder she offered to help. Be careful of this store and their employees. It may be safer to call Instacart, there may be less problems. read more

My mom was peacefully collecting petitions outside this King Soopers for a political campaign. She wasn't causing any problems, blocking doors, or bothering anyone. Despite that, the manager called the police, and she ended up spending a night in jail. This seems like an overreaction and a waste of police resources. People should be able to peacefully express themselves in public areas without being treated like criminals. I hope the store reconsiders how it handles situations like this in the future. read more

January 24 and 25, 3:30 PM. I called the King Soopers pharmacy in Green Valley Ranch to ask if my prescription was ready, and a very aggressive woman answered the phone. She said, "We're busy, stop calling, goodbye." I don't know her name; she didn't tell me, but I know she had an Asian accent. The customer service at that pharmacy is terrible; the whole store is bad. Don't leave your prescriptions there because you'll have nothing but headaches dealing with those incompetent people. read more

This is the worst King Soopers in the state of Colorado. It is unfortunate because they have a few workers who are absolutely amazing. However, the quality of food is terrible and the way that they continue to put rotten food back out on the floor is disgusting. I would not suggest the store to anyone, they can continue to try to add a little paint here and there, but the store is still horrible read more

Kroger's contribution to science! King Stoopers brand shredded cheeses have conquered MOLD. The recent addition of potato starch (a anticaking agent) by Kroger may be to reduce lumping, but also tastes different from freshly shredded cheese and it can also affect how well the cheese melts. My experience of Kroger brand shredded mozzarella cheese left on the counter at room temperature, uncovered for days, developed no MOLDS. Any taste of mozzarella or anything else, is also absent. Also, neither clumps or shredded cheese melts when heated. A contributing member of society and privately held company, Kroger contributes to their own profitability. In lockstep with their investment companies, like BlackRock and Berkshire Hathaway, potato starch aids the shrinkage embraced by today's Corporations. Not to be excluded or ignored, several types of MOLD can affect potatoes, including: Fusarium dry rot Pythium leak Verticillium wilt White mold Pink rot MOLD, especially on potatoes, can produce toxins (mycotoxins) that are harmful and can be heat-stable, (not melting) cooking won't eliminate them. Kroger's brand shredded mozzarella cheese stills clumps. Sad. read more

Screw you king Soopers! I will find a small business to support. While you charge us for bags and make us bag our own groceries while employees that we are paying literally sit at the front of the store and watch us do the work that they get paid to do. You're a nightmare and I hope failure and bankruptcy fall upon you. You're trash! read more

AVOID the floral department!! Horrible! Prices are over double other King Soopers in the area for corsages and boutonnieres. $24 for a single rose boutonniere and $35 for the corsage. I ordered white roses with lavender ribbon and baby's breath. They produced a horrible mess with rose colored roses, deep purple foliage (looked dead) and cream colored ribbon. The boutonniere was worse. Complained to the store manager and had them remake them, but still had to pay the ridiculous price!!! The single rose boutonniere cost more than a dozen roses!! It came to $66!! Go to another King Soopers because they'll be less expensive and better quality. read more

I only shopped at this King Soopers due to the fact that it's extremely close to my home. The store is always severely dirty, lots of trash at the entryway, very rarely is there cleaning wipes available to wipe down the cart handles. Occasionally there is a spray bottle and a roll of towels that every customer grabs and shares which is probably not a good thing during Covid. The shelves are frequently empty , usually can't find many of the major products I use. The floors and the shelves throughout the store are routinely dirty as well. When I have time I typically drive 20 minutes in the other direction to shop at an alternate King Soopers. read more

So, I often come to this King Soopers when I'm in town, and I never really have any complaints about it. It's nothing special, but I always find what I'm looking for and even things I'm not that I end up buying anyway. The store is usually pretty clean, and the employees are friendly. The last few times I've been, it's looked like it was busy outside, and even inside through the aisles, but upon going to the check out, it only took about 5 minutes to check out, so there's that. Also, a huge pro to this (and many other) King's is the Sooper card that saves a ton of money on gas if the location has a gas station attached as this one does. Literally comes in so clutch. Anyway, this King's is fine, I recommend :) read more

Worst king scoopers ever. The people work so slowly, and just converse with each other the whole time. If people would just show and do their job it would be a much better process. They need a new manager that actually shows up to support and holds the workers accountable. read more

This store is a DUMP. They don't stock overnight so first thing on a Sunday morning all aisles are full of boxes, to where you couldn't even get your cart down some of them. They had cases of water, blocking fire exit routes, and some lady that worked there was walking around yelling who has the keys and then followed it up with. Are you f$$king kidding me. I stopped by this store because my wife works nearby. She had a few items to pick up and wanted to return an item she had gotten at our normal location (I did have the receipt). I stood in line to make the return while she shopped for the 4 items we needed. After the 15 minute wait I was told that I needed to return the item to the other King Soopers we go to because this store didn't stock that item. Ron at the counter had asked Vince (a manager) about the return. When I questioned why I can't return an item purchased at King Soopers with a receipt, Ron referred me to Vince. Vince was arrogant and condescending. Kroger corporations' customer service sure isn't what it used to be. I've always tried to support them since I worked there for 12 years, but I think I am done. What big corporations do you know that won't accept returns on items they sold? ... especially since i had the receipt from just 3 days earlier. read more

King Soopers - Grocery Near Me - Denver, Colorado

People with non visible disabilities are not welcome per the manager. I went to purchase meats for my service animal and the butcher was very nice, but the manager immediately kicked me out after I wouldn't disclose the function of my service animal, disclosing his function would also expose my personal medical information so I declined to do so. I would not come here with a service animal unless you are carrying the paperwork. the manager is not accommodating for the disabled and neither is the store layout you would have trouble maneuvering the store with a mobility aid. Violated my ADA right and colorado revised statute 24-34-803 . will be contacting the EEOC. if you need to shop with your service animal I would recommend the sprouts just 1/2 a mile a way they are very accommodating. read more

I really hope they build another King Soopers in this area! I moved here in April of 22 and since I been shopping here less and less because of the conditions of this store. It's always busy with very little registers open, the product selection is small and A lot of products are usually out of stock. I went in to get a water refill and their machine still not working for months now. I now make the drive to the kings on MLK Blvd or reunion to avoid not being able to find what I need. I wish it was built bigger and better, specially with a growing area. read more

Everyone is correct about this king soopers. No carts, no hand baskets available, food is s always sitting around on the floor waiting to be stocked (which is just nasty and probably against safe food handling practices). Only 1 register open at any given time.. Looking at you Sunday mornings... Which means yes the lines are usually back up all the way down isles. Don't bother looking at the sales ad.. Never have any of those products stocked. These people want $20 an hr.... What a joke. read more

Great selection, BUT all Kroger stores have moved to offering MUCH SMALLER packages of food. The prices stay the same, but they are offering significantly less value. I will still come here for produce, but for tea, dry goods, paper, and hygiene products--I'll take my money to Wal-Mart, Sam's, or Costco. read more

We ordered groceries online for pickup. I don't want to spend an hour explaining what a awful experience we had and the irony is we got tired of Walmart delivery with broken eggs smashed bread crushed cottage cheese containers but they always made it right without me leaving my house. NOPE not Kings Soopers. No where could you start a return without going to the store. Nope we gave you 3 days before we picked up groceries and when I get home I expect everything to be fresh and substituted items to be quality... long story short we got sick from the rotten deli cheese and were over charged plus they didn't follow instructions. Not the first having issues with Kings but after 3 strikes... bye bye. read more

Due to COVID-19 all employees should know that after you blow your nose you should sanitize your hands. Well as I was waiting in line for over 15 minutes, to see the employee " manger " George blow his nose and then wipe the excess with his bare hand... what the hell? So I said aloud will you call for back up ( cause I did not want his gross hands touching my cash back) and I recommend he sanitize his hands. Finally I had to go find someone to help. Out of three employees that were standing around talking. As I walked out I thought I would remind him that we just are getting out of a pandemic and he should know to sanitize his hands. He had the audacity to yell as I was walking away, " get off drugs" I immediately turned around and asked what did you say to me. And he responded like a child... well what did you say to me. I replied slowly, I said maybe you should learn to sanitize your hands hun. If this man is a manger representing your store, no wonder the ratings are so low. I will be calling corporate to further this complaint. George did not give me his last initial. So I will describe him- obese Mexican with glass, that never learned proper hygiene. It is disgusting people like him that make sickness spread. read more

King Soopers Green Valley Ranch Denver Colorado is not managed well. I visited today and the produce section was riddled with rotten fruits and vegetables. The shelves were stocked with expired items. I talked to the manager and all kept repeating was OK, OK, OK and had nothing else to say! He Cleary does not care about the store, his job or the reputation of King Soopers. Good job with the flies behind the glass eating the donuts! Wow, the Yelp reviews were right about this place. It is pretty ghetto. We were in town for a week so we figured we should stop by the grocery store to load up on bottled water, fruits, snacks, etc. I looked on Yelp to find the nearest grocery store and this King Soopers was the closest (apparently we're in the middle of nowhere...there isn't even a Starbucks around!). When we walked in, it was a pretty different experience than I was used to. It felt like a Wal-Mart, except in a lower SES level. We were then told by our local friends that nobody really likes to live in the area, so that might explain things. They have a wide assortment of fruits and vegetables, but the produce either didn't look that great or wasn't a good price. I stood in front of the tomatoes for a while because the nicer-looking containers of little tomatoes were $4 and the unappetizing ones were on sale for $2. I must be cheap or something because I couldn't get myself to pay $4 for a little container of tomatoes when I know they're better priced elsewhere. And I didn't want to go cheap and pay for a lower quality product either. Oh the dilemma. So we are skipping tomatoes this week. I guess for a convenient location and the stuff you need, this King Soopers has it. But for the ambiance and the feeling you get when you walk in, I'd skip it. I found myself feeling a little nervous there, walking quickly, and trying to get out of there as soon as possible. Walked past their long line of cash advance customers (or something like that), young teenage moms yelling at their kids, and people playing their loud music in their cars in the parking lot. The cashier was friendly though. And they have some kind of rewards card that you can sign up for, to get points. I'm glad we were able to stop by but this grocery store definitely made me look at Denver in a whole new light. For some reason it made me think of Bon Qui Qui and King Burger. Hm.... read more

It's the only King Soopers near me for about 20 minutes. With that being said, it does provide its services that I need (Pharmacy, small bakery and deli, with a bank inside as well). I would never recommend shopping at this location anywhere between the hours of 3:00pm to 6:30pm, it's always jam-packed. Parking is a nightmare to get in and out, there are many crazy idiots who somehow passed the DMV testing (including me) that don't know what "STOP" on a STOP sign means... The checkers are very courteous and helpful, they've never been rude, the produce is mediocre, some things are over-priced compared to other King Soopers; however, if you need milk at 3am, this place is open and has a very nice security guard that has always made sure I get to my car safely. read more

This location never bounced back after covid. The store closed its deli at 5:00 PM. Are they not aware people work until 5:00 PM? We go for the chicken. It's rarely available. Everything else is out of stock. Do not go if you need something specific because you will be disappointed. The shelves are empty and the employees don't care. The prices are also outrageous. $4.99 for 5 cookies? It's a grocery store, not a boutique bakery. It's just not worth it to walk in the store. Just go to Walmart. Their prices are at least affordable and shelves are stocked. read more

I asked for a checker this morning at 7:30 and it caused a major issue asking the employees to work. I apologise for interrupting the personal conversation if the two employees at the Customer service desk, this really upset the employees when I asked for a store manager after they refused to stop chatting to check me out. Then when the manager forced one of them to work they told me I could have checked my own 26 items out and that I could shop somewhere else. I have no words and will most DEFINITELY shop elsewhere than this trashy store! read more

A really disorganized grocery store. Shelves were not stocked very well. Needs some work

They rarely have baggers to bag groceries. I hate doing it myself. There are 5 people standing around the self checkout.
