This is amazing. Such an amazing stop. Hey everything you need. Best quality best food. My entire list is met right here

I'm not a fan of natural grocers but I came here because it was just the closest by for some last minute needs. Staff is very friendly however this is like a Whole Foods which means over priced

Am I Too Unsophisticated? I'm all for health food grocery stores, but sometimes they are just too over the top. I mean...maybe I want a cheap soda and not a $5 hibiscus ginger grapefruit drink. And what's with the pill section? Am I at a grocery store or a pharmacy? I'm just having a little fun here. =] It really is a great store. You'll be hard pressed to find fresher produce. That's where the party is at in my book. Have a great shopping trip!

You don't go to Vitamin Cottage for the produce, you go for the opportunity to make your own almond butter. Turn on the grinder and grind yourself up a pound of fresh almond butter with no added anything, better than the pre-canned options, and almost 50% less in price. I also go for the bagged rice and dried fruit. My boyfriend buys gross produce there like bok choy and brussle sprouts. This usually causes him to get no booty the night he makes dinner. One of the coolest items that you can get at Vitamin Cottage are the Bees Wax ear candles. Buy one of these rolled up natural remedy sticks for each ear, light the wide side and stick the small side in your ear while you lay on your side. Make sure to continue to hold the wax as it burs. What is it doing? It is sucking out your earwax silly! Stay still and let it burn until the flame gets too close to your ear and you start to get nervous. Blow the flame out and unwrap the wax paper and take a look at your yummy earwax that has been hiding in your ear canal for probably years. Also, make sure not to pass up the huge bottles of castor oil. Shmear it all over your naked body after you get out of the shower and let the oil ooze into your scaly Colorado skin. Castor oil is fragrant free and better and cheaper than any lotion on the market. Make sure to ask the cashier for a parking pass, as customers get their parking paid for by the store... Score! * Star one is for being in the new and much needed location of 15th and Platte Street ** Our friendly star number two is for offering healthy food options that probably make me just as fat because I eat double the amount *** Our third star is awarded to VC for their organic and grainy staff (That means friendly and helpful in hippy talk) **** Meet star four, he is here because Vitamin Cottage offers alternative health herbs and supplements at competitive, if not the cheapest, prices in town. ***** Our fifth star is for becoming a great place to check out hotties and flaunt your stylish sunglasses after work around 5:30-6:30pm. At this time, this market becomes a meat market of babes and babe-wanters... bring your business cards and your appetite for aisle peeking.

Love this store. Great selection of natural groceries. They would rather die than bag your groceries for you.

We came here for brunch on a Sunday morning, before heading to Coors Field to see an afternoon Rockies game. The market mainly consists of an indoor food court, with indoor and outdoor seating options. The crowd is mostly local. The vibe is casual. For our first visit, we were impressed with the food we got from Izzio Bakery, and the coffee we got from Crema Bodega. I have reviewed these separately.

There are a bunch of different places to check out inside, so everyone can grab exactly what they want and still sit together. Today, I specifically visited Call Your Mother, a Jewish deli, and Izzio Bakery. Atmosphere: Since I went right around the time they opened, the atmosphere was exactly what I needed. It was super laid-back and chill, making it the perfect place to get out of the house for a calm morning. As it gets later into the day and through the weekends, I know it gets very busy, but there is plenty of random seating throughout the hall and even some outdoor spots if you prefer. Parking: Parking is going to be street parking. Make sure you read the signs, but it is usually free. Even when the market is busy, I usually don't have to walk more than a block to get inside. So it is a very convenient location for the RiNo area. Service: The customer service throughout the market is great. At Call Your Mother, the cashier was very sweet, and they even text you when your food is ready. Over at Izzio Bakery, everyone is super kind and helpful while you're looking at their amazing pastry display. Even with a line, you're usually only waiting about 10 to 12 minutes for your items. Food: The food variety here is incredible. I tried the Sun City breakfast bagel sandwich from Call Your Mother and the hot honey was the perfect balance of sweet and spice on a toasted bagel. For a sweet treat, I went to Izzio Bakery for the Dulce de Leche Queen. The pastry case there looks like something out of a movie. The pastry itself was perfectly crisp on the outside with a delicious yellow vanilla cream and cinnamon on the inside. Overall Experience: Overall, I really enjoy coming here and trying new places. It is a fantastic destination for groups or just a solo morning out. Whether you want a savory breakfast bagel sandwich or a beautiful pastry, The Denver Central Market always hits the spot. I'll definitely be back to explore more.

The cashier tossed her money back at her and said "I have a bad back, I work 8 hours a day I don't have to put up with your shit" This is where the rest of the people that were in line walked out. I am still laughing at the cashier.

My relationship with this Safeway continues to be complicated. I had sworn off going to the store…read moreearlier this summer when for the second time in a row, I was in a line about 25 people deep at 6pm on a weekday, and only one cash register was open. (One day I waited for over 40 minutes just to check out.) Admittedly, most of my friends already made it clear I was crazy for continuing to frequent this store, but I feel pretty damn strongly about supporting the only grocery store in this neighborhood, so I persisted. Nevertheless, it became clear that the Safeway corporation was not respecting these employees by appropriately staffing the store, and I decided I would stop going entirely. Fast forward a few months, and the Safeway employees went on strike. I was pretty encouraged, supported the effort, and hoped for the best. After things were resolved, I decided to give the store a shot again, and pretty quickly it became clear that staffing the registers was still not a priority. Admittedly, I really don't understand how Safeway thinks this is a profitable maneuver--in order to spend money, consumers need to be able to check out. And guess what, if you're buying more than a few items, a self-checkout is not workable. But apparently this is the corporate game. I do want to give a shoutout to the stalwart employees who have persisted despite these tribulations. I'm always happy when I see Terri at the register or Bryan at the meat counter. Employees like them make all the difference here. I just wish they had better support.
