I've been to this Trader Joes twice and both times I had a bad experience. The first time I picked up a few items to make spaghetti and a bottle of wine. I was on my lunch break with a coworker and the cashier demanding to see both of our Id's to purchase the wine. I was the one buying it and provide my ID but they wanting my coworkers I'd. She didn't have her purse so they wouldn't sell to me. My coworker is over 60 years old. I never heard of carding two people that are together to purchase a bottle of wine. The second time was last week as I walked in I asked a the security guard a simple question and he was so sarcastic and rude to me. Again this was for my lunch break. read more

Let's start with how the parking lot is stereotypical TJs, meaning a tight squeeze even for the compact cars, and the only time to go is either the 1st hour they're open or the last hour they're open. Great location and parking actually wasn't too crazy. I was in this Saturday morning for pickles and kombucha (lol) and found exactly what I needed. I liked the set up of this store and was very impressed with the plant selection! The store wasn't crowded at all, very clean and I was in and out in 10 min. I love that they have my favorite flavor of kombucha here (the multi green)! My only complaint is they haven't had the meatless meatballs in a long time and I am hoping they come back soon. read more

I'm new to town but have been shopping at TJ's since forever. I called and got Ben. I asked him to check on an item for me as I didn't want to waste a trip if they don't have it, and he came back and confirmed they had it. I asked him to please set two aside because I wouldn't be able to get in until this evening. I also live kinda far away so I don't have the luxury to pop in whenever. With a curt tone he said "we're not holding that item, it's first come first served". No "sorry about that" or even an explanation on why they don't hold this item. First time ever going to a Trader Joe's and was curious after hearing so much hype about it. Not gonna lie it was rather pleasant. Every shopping cart is wiped down and sanitized by staff outside. The selection of food was different but the quality was definitely better than say a King Soopers. However, there's not as much here than a King Soopers. At least not at this location. Staff were friendly and bagged everything for us incredibly fast. It's awesome to see the use paper bags rather than the plastic at other supermarkets especially as we had forgot our bags from home. read more

This location has a great selection and their checkout lines are usually very fast. Unlike other grocery stores in the area, they keep almost all checkout lanes staffed and operational. My problem with this location is the signature gatherers and folks selling newspapers at the front door. They are typically aggressive, and in your face when entering and exiting, they are right by the door. Trader Joe's- I understand you like having these petition and donation gatherers on site to foster a sense of community. All the other grocery stores just kick them out. Many of these folks are promoting great causes, and I understand you want to support them. Let the petition and donation gathers congregate and solicit help on your property, by all means! But ask them to set up a table or informative display and folks who are interested in learning more about their cause can approach on their own and engage them. Promote passive solicitation, and everyone wins! In many cases, these folks collecting signatures are not volunteers but paid employees who are compensated based on how many signatures they collect. That is why many of them are so aggressive and in-your-face. read more

I've been a fan of Trader Joe's for many years so when a friend asked me to go, I didn't hesitate. This was my first time here and although parking was somewhat difficult, we were able to get a spot as someone was pulling out. The store appeared to be smaller than most of the Trader Joe's I've shopped, however, I was able to find everything I was looking for. The staff members were friendly and helpful and the store appeared to be clean. I'll return if my friend offers to drive since I prefer the Wadsworth and Bowles location since I don't have to deal with the Denver traffic. read more

This location was larger than I expected. They have lines outside limiting entry and under shaded tents . All carts are being cleaned. They had a good selection of vegan and vegetarian foods. I saw that they were name brands too. They didn't have any taquitos today and that was a bummer. They also do not sell their signature Charles Shaw wines or any alcohol other than beer due to Colorado liquor laws. Parking at any Trader Joes seems like a pain in the butt. Same here. Always a friendly chat at checkout. We live in the neighborhood so parking is never an issue. The lot is a bit small and people circle it for spots at times. What's not to love? It's Trader Joe's. Only wish they sold liquor and wine like the one on Colorado but that's not their fault. My only complaint would be that they are frequently out of things I go there for but also not their fault as they are high in demand. The employees I've encountered have always been helpful and friendly, walking you to the item you're inquiring about rather than just pointing to an aisle. One time my boyfriend bought a huge thing of frozen pork without looking at the price tag or evaluating if he could really eat all that pork and before we got to his car he decided he didn't want it, so he walked right back in, and they returned it! The manager said they're not supposed to return perishable goods but he looked at the time stamp on his receipt to see that he had literally bought it 2 minutes prior and accepted the return. Another time I bought a canvas Trader Joe's bag (the one that looks like the paper one) and the handle broke after only a few uses and the cashier happily exchanged it for me no questions asked. That kind of customer service will keep me a TJs customer for life! Overall: 9/10. read more

Just beware you should enter this joint with a game plan. It can be warfare in here. But rest assured these little foods are worth it. It's best to enter with two people: one person guards the cart and keeps track of the list, the other person braves the chaos as the "runner," retrieving items from busy cart-averse areas. It's important to keep your zen and be encouraging to your shopping partner. At times it is brutal. There will be people standing directly in front of the entire cheese section perusing for 5 whole minutes and you can't get your cheddar slice til they move. It's a great practice in emotional maturity. And yes, Trader Joe's is a beautiful place of passive aggression. It's a lot of vibe checks and knowing looks between strangers. The other good part about shopping with a partner here is the necessary debrief when you get out of there. You got to process this stuff right away. Who were your villains this morning? Blue sweater lady wanted to kill us. Patagonia man act like he was born yesterday and took the last chicken soup dumpling package. Let's put a curse on him. TJ is my man. Somehow my entire grocery bill comes out to what an avocado costs at Whole Foods (basically). But truly, it's rare I pay more than $50 each trip. I'm obsessed with their flower selection. A gorgeous little bouquet is $3.99. We always have fresh flowers in the house. The produce is great: crisp apples, fresh herbs, bright firm peppers, berries that an employee has looked at to be sure there isn't a big moldy berry sitting right on top. The bread section is hit or miss: expiration dates almost always approach faster than I'm able to eat a loaf of bread or pack of bagels. A whole aisle of nuts and dried fruit is so Colorado. And aren't samples the best part of every shopping trip? I love that their little sample cups are easy meal ideas from a few different items around the store. I really always enjoy coming to this location. Pre-pandemic, I worked 1/2 mile up Logan and it was incredibly convenient to have one that I could stop in on my way home. Like many people, I have been a fan of TJ's for many years. The first store I ever had to shop in opened in Indianapolis when I lived there. I think I can guess that I have shopped at Joe's for over 22 years now and I still love the experience. It does not matter what TJ's I go into, the help is always friendly, the shelves are constantly being restocked given that the space is limited, you can easily see why this is a necessity. The Logan location does have it's share of 'negatives' that others would likely point out. Parking bad? Yes, but it is bad no matter what. I DO wish that all TJ's that are in private lots vs a strip mall area that has ample parking available, would give up the extra parking space by striping the lot for angled parking. It is excruciatingly hard to get in and out of both downtown locations here in Denver. I am pretty shocked I have not had my bumper hit. That did happen to me very recently at Whole Foods in Belmar but, that is an entirely different story - grrr. At any rate, that would truly be my biggest issue and complaint but, it is not a deal breaker and if I get lucky, I can snag a spot out front on Logan which is fab for easy in and out. Now that I am coming back into work 1 day a month for the foreseeable future until my office makes a big move in 2023, I am really enjoying visiting this location again. There is a low-key buzz of activity and dare I say - excitement? Happiness?? - that I feel every time I do and I have missed that feeling so, visiting is sometimes going to be a 'want' vs a 'need' for the seasonal goodies that sell out before you can blink! read more

I live in the Capital Hill area and you have no idea how amazing it is to have a Trader Joe's in the scene. This location particularly doesn't sell wine sadly but has a variety of beer which I can bare with. Their employees are always caring and carrying great attitude and some have have no filter when it comes to particular items you may be buying but that's what I really love. Their welcomed to give their two cents with out discouraging from purchasing because you care for it just being it back for a refund. This was one of the nicer Trader Joe's that I've come across in my travels and, as a bonus, it was within walking distance of my hotel (sort of . . . if you don't mind a long walk). Living in Hawaii, one of the expectations is that one should bring friends and family small tokens from where you have travelled/vacationed to outside of the islands. Trader Joe's, since we don't have one in Hawaii, is one of the preferred gift stops if one is located where you're visiting. They always have fantastic options for friends and family, so needless to say, I put my walking boots on, grabbed the "honey buy" list and off I went. On this trip, I picked up: chocolate bars, fruity breakfast/snack bars, veggie sticks, apple sticks, scones, and dried fruit. Super friendly and helpful staff. Clean and welcoming. Always excellent quality. Even if you're not buying gifts, Trader Joe's is still also an excellent option for tidbits you may need on your trip, such as groceries, drinks or snacks. read more

I love so many of the Trader Joe's products. The eggplant hummus has been out of stock for quite a while but is my all-time favorite number one item. I also like a lot of the frozen items like the brown rice, orange chicken, BBQ pork etc. Easy freezer meals I can whip up quickly. I also like all the sauces available. I'm always picking out something new to try in a stir fry or as a dipping sauce. The downside for me shopping at Trader Joe's is.. and I feel like such a curmudgeon in saying this.. but why does everyone have to talk to me? Even though I generally align with most of the causes that are trying to talk to people outside of the front door, I just want to pick up a few groceries. I also don't want to have conversations with check out people around how am I doing, what is the rest of my day look like, any big plans for the weekend, what do I do for work etc. I realize it must be a company policy since they all do it, but I really just want to check out. A simple hello or how's it going is really enough. For an introvert, the forced interactions are a lot, especially if you've been talking to people all day at work and you're just trying to run a dang errand and get some food. When I need to pick up a few things, I actually consider how much mental bandwidth do I have to do with people before I decide if I'll go to TJ's or another store. If I'm feeling low on people energy, I choose another grocery store to avoid the forced small talk. Okay, rant over. read more

Organic Yellow Mustard?? I can't believe it. I find myself loving Trader Joe's Organic Yellow Mustard. In the past, I assumed that all yellow mustards were alike. Boy howdy was I wrong there. I bought some of Trader Joe's liquid gold out of convenience; I was amazed by how much I enjoyed it. It's vastly superior to others I have tried. You can really taste the organic grain vinegar. It slaps you right in the face....in a good way. I am dumbfounded to be writing a review based solely on mustard, but here I am. It's delicious and I won't apologize! Sunday September 7th 2014. We went here after running some errands. MY OH MY! Err, am I at the right spot? For one its SO EASY to Find PARKING SPACE in this Trader Joe's. It feels BIGGER but somehow ONCE AGAIN this Trader Joe's DO NOT Have certain Items that I am familiar from the ones @ Colorado Blvd, and Greenwood Village. Secondly, NO CROWDS, aka NOT as much as CROWDED as compared to the COLORADO BLVD and Greenwood Village. Definitely returning to this Trader Joes. From my observation, I think I WON'T come on a Tuesday Evenings coz for one, this Trader Joes IS NOT STOCKED UP Properly. *Sad Face* Sometimes, its good to "Stock Up" on our favorites coz the next time we went, it is NO LONGER Available. *SIGH* Hence, either I stick with my Thursdays, Fridays or the Weekend Routine to go to this TRADER JOEs Location. This is the TJ's w/o the liquor FYI! TJ's is great & offers awesome variety of unique TJ branded foods for affordable prices. I'm never a fan of buying produce from TJ's but their frozen food section, dried food section & even their soaps & shampoos are great. They also have dog snacks that my dog is a huge fan of. I'm a big fan of their affordable chocolates, cereals & chips/snacks. They also have amazing yogurt. I've tried every yogurt there & have enjoyed them all thoroughly. I like this place a lot but two things happened yesterday. There is a guy with hardly any formal education who often tries to convince me that the pharmaceutical industry is wrong and that he is right and I am a vegan for the most part. He still looks into my shopping cart and picks on me for what I am purchasing. This is a form of bullying. Yes he is an employee. Secondly the checker did not put the Apples I bought into my bags yesterday. I think he was busy talking. So my wife literally yelled at me and said that I did not do what she asked. When this happens then I need to speak out. In summary, this guy who goes around the store bullying people to eat his way, in a very aggressive way, should be written up.
