An outstanding addition to Central Park, as this high-quality grocery store's Grand Opening today showed off their content, excellent customer service, and elite staff. A terrific location, as MLK Boulevard and Central Park intersect a few hundred feet from the front door, and the store shares a huge public parkiing lot with the nearby Flyte Tower Restaurant. They have outstanding products, and live up to their name with natural and organic options throughout the store. Shout-out to the staff, because they couldn't have been more helpful, kind, and positive. The entire experience yielded such an excellent vibe during their Opening Day pageantry. We shall make this part of our regular rotation.

A month ago, saw Christina taking out a whole pizza, while looking at the food bar. I asked if it…read morewas ok if I got the entire pizza. She obliged. Something was off. Why does it seem like I am doing a disservice? A week later, back for lunch. This time I'm thinking, let me get that two for $25 deal as advertised on the sign. No one is in the pizza section. Lunch break. I speak with an employee (Julian). Julian is awesome! He points me to another employee in the food department. I speak with a man behind the food counter that I would like to get the 2 for $25 deal. The employee says sure thing, I can make those for you. And we can do 4 toppings on one and cheese with the other or 3 and 1 with the toppings as well. I said ok. Pepperoni on one and ham, pineapple, and jalapeño on the other. I wait 10-15 minutes for them. I come back and the pizzas are ready to go. At the self check out register, I see that the total is $35 dollars. I'm a little confused and the attendant asks if I would like to speak with a manager. I don't remember her name, curly hair with glasses I believe. The manager says, this deal is for Amazon members on Friday. She checked with the man who helped me as well. She made me think that I messed up here and she was going to help me out. She edited the price to $25 and said it was ok this time. I don't think she knew the deal. And I think the 2 for $25 is everyday. And that the Amazon deal is the $15 Pepperoni pizza for $12 on Friday with Amazon Prime Members. One week ago, I try for my third attempt. This was my first time calling in advance. I speak with a blonde haired male on the phone. I order one cheese pizza and am curious what the price is going to be upon pickup. The male sees me when I come in and says John before I said a word. Great service. Good awareness. I get the pizza and it was $12. I took pictures of the two signs. I see Julian on the way out and have a discussion about the signage and prices. A petite manger with straight hair joined us. I was right about the signage. Confirmed. Good to know moving forward. These two employees were awesome. The cheese pizza was fresh and delicious. The manger on my second visit did not do me any favors, she was just doing her job. Maybe the guy spoke out of pocket with the 3 and 1 for toppings. That still should have been on them. Tonight was my 4th visit. I called in advance at 7:45pm. Enough time before 8pm when that department closes. Late enough to not bother during the earlier rush. I'm trying to perfect this process. I attempt to order the two for $25 deal with a male that answers the phone. (04/23/2026). The male says they only have one dough left to make a pizza. Disappointed, I say ok, let's get a pepperoni with a little extra cheese on it. I went to pick it up and saw that it was in the window. I saw 3 - 4 pizzas sitting in the window. The price on the pizza was $17. I think, we are so close to $25, let's just get one of these pizzas that has been sitting in the window as my second pizza. Heck, I'll even take the cheese. My plan was to share these pizzas with my team at work. I find Christina at the back near the soups. Ask if I can speak with her. I ask if I can get one of these pizzas that's out, for my second pizza. She can mix and match any of the slices that are out. She informs that it is her job to have a certain amount of slices out for customers. I spoke with Manager Parks. I felt heard & understood. I felt like coming back. Parks offered a gift card and I was hesitant to receive it. This was mostly about principle. I stated that I would accept the gift card and leave a 5 star review. Christina said it is best to call at 7:30pm. You do have the ability to have them cut the pizza into 12 slices versus the stand large six slices. The price will say $34 on the box when you pick it up. The price will go down to $25 with tax at checkout.

I asked about parking. They did offer a two hour validation. Staff also suggested using their regular lot for two hours. The market will tow after that. We however knew we would be much longer than that. We decided to park elsewhere.

Big box grocery stores are all the same, but are they?…read more This store is clean and pleasant, but good luck finding everything from your list. I did not consider leaving a review for a grocery store until today. My son and I were in the floral dep't and I mentioned their selection is always limited when a floral employee told me I had to come on certain days for product delivery. I mentioned to her this is a common theme with Safeway when I cannot find products. Looking for Topo Chico? Oops out of stock; looking for Red Bird Chicken? Oops out of stock; looking for candy canes during Christmas? Oops out of stock. The list goes on and on I do love their store cooked lunch meat - better than Kings. I use Safeway as a convenience store and do my weekly shopping at Kings. I would recommend the same.

Then the baskets disappeared because people carried away their bagless groceries in them. Then customers began to steal expensive products because the stores were understaffed because customers were doing the checkout work. Then they erected corrals to restrict access in and out of the store, which obviously didn't fix the theft problem because now 20% of the store is cordoned off where you have to checkout twice or oddly navigate out the cattle corrals around the people waiting to check out. They keep whining that they can't compete with Amazon but when they keep making it harder for grocery stores to be more convenient than someone dropping the goods at your door, I REALLY don't understand their surprised pikachu faces. Shopping is grocery stores like this one is officially unpleasant.
