This store used to be Pacific Ocean supermarket. Since they've been acquired they are more organized and clean than before. I usually go to Hmart but being a Denver resident I am really glad to hear about GW as it is essentially the same thing except they don't have the Korean bimbap and food made to go like Hmart does. Nonetheless I can expect to get all my classic Asian ingredients here. The food is fresh but I notice it does spoil quicker than other grocery store produce so plan to use it up right away! The biggest perk about GW is that they have peiking roast duck that you can get it either half of full size with sides for dip. read more

This Asian market continues to work out the kinks. It is more organized each time we visit and today we were pleasantly surprised by fresh bento boxes with bbq pork, broccoli and rice as well as a makeshift dim sum cart with all kinds of goodies! I believe they were the owners of Harbor Dimsum as well as Happy Cafe- now on GW! Lots of variety throughout the store! read more

Do not be intimidated going into this Asian market, they have everything and everyone in here! I could spend a full day inside browsing the frozen section and houseware section. The real gems are in the back left of the store where you can get tea cups, plates, cookware, and utensils. I heavily recommend the produce section and sauce sections for even better prices than king Soopers or Walmart. You can really find anything you need- Asian or not- here! read more

Great Wall did not even have silken tofu. No organic tofu at all. This is an Asian market! No organic natto. Extremely limited selection of chili crisp. Not worth a visit. H Mart is a further away but definitely worth the extra driving. No more GW for me. read more

very pleased to know that there is a store like this in denver. im very much spoiled by the abundance of these sorts of supermarkets in socal, so i was worried that we would have to go to hmart all the way in aurora just to get asian imported goods but gw had more than i couldve asked for! prices seemed fairly reasonable too. produce seemed a bit less than stellar, but not a huge issue in my opinion. maybe a state-by-state culture shock, but they didnt have any plastic bags, which normally in california we would usually just pay 10 cents each for or bring our own reusable bags (which we didnt have when we came here because it was sort of an impromptu visit), so they told us to grab one of their small cardboard boxes; seems quite handy actually. im not too sure if they sell the golden nest drink here, because i couldnt find it. ill definitely be on the lookout for that next time i come to denver, since its an absolute must have in my house. read more

Excellent, wide selection. Different brands. An alternate offering from American stores. Great seafood. Nice frozen selections. Decent fresh vegetables. Some items were stale up on trying them at home. Like some fortune cookies were very old and cardboard flavored. Quick checkout. Friendly patrons. Lots of canned goods. Meats were reasonably priced. I enjoy going. read more

ONE STOP SHOPPING FOR ASIAN GROCERIES While in Denver, we visited the Great Wall Supermarket. We prefer this store to H Mart - Great Wall is less expensive and being smaller than H Mart, it is easier to find things. While mainly a Chinese grocery store, Great Wall also sells Korean, Vietnamese, Thai and Japanese products. Easy parking in large parking lot. Great Wall is a clean and well stocked store that offers just enough of everything for a one stop shopping trip. The produce section is large with lots of fresh veggies. The seafood department has a wide variety of well-priced seafood. The large frozen food section has a bit of everything from dumplings to red bean and ice cream filled taiyaki. Small Chinese BBQ stand (roast pork, crispy pork, roast duck). Wide selection of rice varieties and brands. Small meat department with unique offal. There is also a large separate room set aside for housewares (inexpensive dishes, pots, utensils and home decor items). read more

Visiting from VA and the Great Wall here in CO vegetables are not as great as the ones in VA for sure. The vegetable options are not many exotic chocies but more of just the common vegetables. Vegetables aren't fresh as well. The seafood section though, I love that they have live fresh seafood options such as king crabs, frogs, eels, etc. They also have a great selection of a small shop Vietnamese little store inside the market. read more

Such a fun store to browse through. When we visit Denver we love to check out different local markets to see what they have to offer. This store offers a huge variety of snacks and drinks while still having a decent variety of produce and meats. While it might be smaller than H-mart, it's still got so much to offer. read more

Cleaner store and a lot of choices. We found so many things we liked. The housewares section captured our attention for half an hour as we wandered around picking up cute designs and making our choices. We continued on to look for the groceries she was looking for. The vegetable section had fresh vegetables and we picked some for her recipe. Then we walked on to check out the meat section. Spices next and canned goods. I had thought I was not going to shop but I couldn't help getting sesame seeds oil and snacks. The associate who checked us out was so nice and friendly. Lots of parking in the shared lot. read more

This is the worst place I've ever been. Duck wings smelt terrible on the next day I purchased it. And it was on the New Year Day, there was no reason to come to the store for it. So I took a pic of it and tried to get it refund on my next grocery shopping. But they refused my request because I didn't keep the smelly, rotten duck wings. Are you kidding? This is RIDICULOUS. Would the owner of this place keep rotten meat in his fridge for a week? Another person said for meat and deli they only accept refund within 24 hours. Do they expect customers get grocery on a daily basis? Warning for future customers: check your purchase once you pay for them. It's only 4 bucks but so ridiculous to see how they treat customers. The store is a JOKE. read more

Out of the 3 Asian supermarkets that I went to in Denver area, I like this one the most. The store here was super clean, organized, had a ton of variety. Tons of fresh food such as fruits, veggies, and live seafood. They had an entire aisle of Asian flavored ice cream! Lots of unique flavors that I am not able to find anywhere else, especially at a local chain/American grocery store. They had my favorite brand ice cream there that is so hard to find in the South and Midwest! The store is huge! We were running short on time so I didn't get to experience the entire store. The prices here are reasonable, definitely more affordable then the other Asian grocery stores in Denver area. This is a must place for your Asian grocery needs, or even snacks, desserts, chopsticks, quality knifes, bowls, whatever, they have it all. I'm looking forward to my next trip here. I want to try the other ice cream flavors LOL read more

I was searching for crab legs and striking out at all the other seafood shops and butchers in town. I got referred here by a friend and they had freshly packed crab legs and a lot of other very fresh seafood. Also nicely organized and not overwhelming like H-mart. read more

The check out line cashier who serviced my check out was so rude and indifferent making me think they don't even care for my business. They left your groceries on the counter without even asking you if you need a bag and continue to check the next customer out. I would fire that lady on the spot if I was her boss. read more

Great selection of items and very clean store. They also have nice customer service. I am excited to try the cucumber chips and the sriracha chips that I purchased. I wouldn't say they have everything one might need from an Asian supermarket but they have a wide product variety of items and fresh meats and produce. I would recommend coming here since it's much larger, cleaner, and so very organized compared to the other Asian markets I've been to in the Denver area. The staff seemed to work together to keep the store functioning as great as it did. read more

Love it here!!! Well kept and always stocked. The service is great and I enjoy all the fresh varieties

This used to be the Pacific Ocean Supermarket few weeks back. Now it's a new Asian grocery store called the "Great Wall Supermarket". Some of the price tags still say "Pacific Ocean" on them. They have a very good variety of items and prices are reasonable and comparable to other Asian grocery stores. One thing that stands out here is the high-end feeling (lighting etc.) But without the high prices! I had a good customer experience here. read more

I am new to metro Denver and GWMarket is definitely the best of the 5 I have been to. The store is clean, the selection of pantry items is huge, veggies look fresh and I cannot think of a better place to buy fresh seafood. I went to New Saigon, Banh Thanh, Little Saigon and Vietnam Hoa and was disappointed by all of them. Little Saigon had decent Vietnamese items like jicama, but the others were a waste of time to visit. read more

They had excellent produce, and the employees were very courteous and gave me a cardboard box to take my produce home in.

Hometown of expired food. This store is a joke. It's Mar 2023 and they are still selling food with Nov 2022 expiration dates. The new management is even worse that the previous one (Pacific Ocean international market). Much higher prices and the quality stays low. Check dates when you shop here. read more

See my review under this business' old name, "Pacific Ocean Marketplace." Until the very end of 2022, this was a really cool, local, funky, family owned Asian market - a lot like the Ranch 99 markets on the west coast - with all sorts of interesting products to be discovered throughout its aisles. But they've sold out to a big, east coast Asian supermarket chain called "Great Wall." That corporation has discontinued products we loved (for example, most of the interesting drinks, including all of the Philippines juice drinks, are gone) and destroyed pretty much everything that was fun about it. When we last visited, many of the shelves were empty as they removed products we had purchased for years. We used to go in and get big bags of fresh Asian fruits like lychees and rambutans. And we loved their baked goods, especially treats like baked BBQ pork buns, pineapple buns, and loaves of red bean bread. But after the takeover these things are disappearing one by one. And the prices - holy moly! As much as double now. Just outrageous. It's cheaper to buy on eBay or Amazon despite the shipping. Fortunately there are still chains like HMart (2 locations: Broomfield and Aurora) that don't price gouge, and some local markets like M-Mart (Korean) and Viet Hoa (Vietnamese) and Pacific Mercantile (Japanese) still exist. There's also the Vinh Xuong Vietnamese bakery across the parking lot, which sells killer BBQ pork buns (steamed and baked) and a few excellent Korean bakeries such MR Bakery, Honey Bakery, and Yum Yum Bakery. I will be going to those places instead now. So sad to see a local business ruined! read more
