Yikes, my friends. Stopping to have a break and figured a King Soopers would have whatever we need. Regretfully, it looks like we picked one of the worst ones to visit today. The store lacked a lot of options for snacks, the chip aisle was loaded with boxes and vendors stocking stuff in the middle of the day, and to top it off, the management was pretty blunt with us like we ruined his day stocking vegetables. have noticed recently self checkout employee when I walk in and walk out they don't really treat me or my mom well. As a regular person, as a customers. Instead tried like an outsider. And with my recent visit these are the two fools are the reason I'm writing this review. I founded them to be very rude and when I came to my mom scanning her food items. Treating her like she trying to steal, but she wasn't and didn't like how she scanned her items and putting them in bags. Like my mom scanned one pineapple first then proceeded with other she just didn't forgot to scan the second pineapple that we picked and was bit on her ass about it. Though she did soon scan soon when that came to her attention her attention. That added a lay these two employees I felt this bad energy coming from these people exchanging serious glances. Plus it's not like these people get paid enough their job is not that important In fact my mom has been going through a rough time and lots of stress this summer losing her job along with is recovering from a deadly blood cancer diagnosis With getting back into shopping stores can be a bit stressful and hectic, especially when she's have been in a hospital bed for little over year ago. I can usually find what I am looking for but sometimes they are out of the most basic of items. They have about three self checkout touch screen computer that are really hard to operate. I brought back a markdown bakery item that I found I couldn't use because of food allergies returned it, got the "I'll return it this time but next time you need a receipt" schpeel. The item wasn't anymore than $2. All the money I spend there every year, smh! Their stepped up loss prevention tactics are annoying nowadays. They make me feel like a criminal. They check receipts like Walmart. Customers aren't treated like that in the burbs..smh, again! read more

When we visited Denver after breakfast we were looking to visit a local grocery store so that we can buy water,and some travel snacks. We decided to buy the grocery from king soopers. It was a clean grocery story with shelves stocked with grocery. The staff was friendly and it helped us whenever we asked any questions. They also have a good food selection which includes meat as well as seafood. The checkout process was also easy and we checked out pretty easily. With all the reviews about crime, perhaps my experience makes sense. Great, clean, well stocked store, one of the best in Denver but: Their self checkout systems are overly touchy at this location and lock up until someone does a video review of your scanning and bagging activity to make sure you didn't steal anything. On the right wing, you can find the Sushi Area, Hot and Cold food items, Meat and Seafood department, Olive Bar, Gourmet Cheese and Deli section to name a few. They have a DRIVE-Thru Pharmacy. I like you. Please maintain your cleanliness, service and I cannot wait to return to this King Soopers even though I have a King Soopers downstairs near my apartment. I don't go here much now unless I'm feeling lazy and have the time on my hands. I can drive out to Tower Road, shop, and make it back in the time it takes me to drive here, shop, wait half an hour in line, and come home. There are never enough people working. Combine that with the number of items that are never in stock and it's almost a disaster. The pharmacy is friendly. The produce selection is alright, and it's better than Tower Road. This is one of the nicer King Soopers in the metro Denver area. There are two locations way closer to our home, but my husband and I will take the time to go out of the way to go to this one off of MLK. That is, if we decide to do King Sooper at all. It's more spacious, the shelves are usually well-stocked. And during COVID-19 they're taking extra care to wipe down carts. Customers wearing masks wasn't too heavily enforced, but I can't imagine telling people what they can/can't do these days. Especially in a grocery store. Just stay far away from these rule-breakers, keep your face covered and wash your hands when you get home. Beyond that, it's a pretty standard grocery chain experience. read more

If I could give 10 starts I would! This is my neighborhood grocery store so I'm here at least once a week. Sure, it's busy sometimes and there are items that need to be restocked or you might have to get your own cart from the lot...but that's life. This store is the hub for much of North Aurora, Central Park and the surrounding area. The staff is incredible. Always friendly and helpful - from the grocery delivery folks to the cart collectors, managers, cashiers, deli, floral and cheese specialists - even on the busiest shopping days, when they are clearly under staffed - it is refreshing to patron a place with good old customer service and kindness. I got groceries for pick up last night. Guy comes out with his mask down, brings the contaminated mask up to his face, now having touched both (with bare hands), and gives me an invoice. When I ask about one of MANY items they couldn't fulfill, not only does he break social distancing, he comes up so close to read it over my shoulder, one might have thought I'd adopted a tall, sweaty parrot. In terms of distancing, I would have been safer inside AND probably would have actually gotten what I needed. They messed up bad. The picker didn't even bother getting things I knew they had, let alone the things I needed enough to bother with an order in the first place. I understand obvious stuff they might be out of, sure. No disinfectant wipes, alright. Got it. But like soda. Soda. King's marks soda up way too much so they can price multiples just well enough to make you buy more than you need. This week, the special was 6 packs of bottles. I needed four for the discount. I went with Pepsi, cherry Pepsi, Dr. Pepper and Mt. Dew-and I allowed substitutions because I anticipated one might be out. I got a single 6 pack Pepsi (which it would seem they must have had and might have been substituted). With no discount. This was the case with EVERY item requiring multiples to get a fair price. We got SERIOUSLY ripped off each time. At least our $6.50 sliced cheese does in fact taste better than the $4 variety we would have picked if we'd known. To make matters worse, they stuck us with a few worthless items. We needed chicken for later in the week. Here's one that expires today-at full price. How about a can of pumpkin that looks like it's seen the horrors of war? What's a little botulism between friends? I mean, just top to bottom, beginning to end, this was a TERRIBLE experience. I get home and disinfect what I received. Overkill, maybe but as bad as King Soopers' covid protocol was where it was visible, I didn't want to think about what I couldn't see. Check my email and there's a survey. As I'm filling it out, a question pops up "did you discuss these problems with the associate?" You mean, did I hang around to quibble with Typhoid Gary? No. No I did not. I haven't called yet, for anyone curious about how they attempt to make things right but I figure that is only marginally relevant to this review since I don't think they could. I doubt I'll be back but yes, I'll call later. On that note, dear reader, if you hear a man in your neighborhood running through the streets screaming something to the effect of "THAT pumpkin went through HELL, Linda!!!" would you mind getting a howl started to drown me out? I actually am not a fan of this chain in particular, however, this new location in Eastbridge is the tits! Tried sushi from the sushi bar and it was fresh! There are so many choices for basically everything you are looking for. The checker I had Tacoby was very nice. They have a fresh nut section, deli with tons of options, sushi bar, soup/salad bar, fresh soft pretzels(!), a coinstar machine, a pharmacy and so much more. Plus it's CLEAN! Hallelujah! It's already really busy but that's a good sign! They also have a King Sooper gas station next door. Definitely a great addition to the area, especially since Target tends to not have anything. If I could give zero stars for my pick-up experience I would. We had a pickup order scheduled to be ready at 8:30am. My husband arrived and checked in at 8:20. At 8:31am, I got a call that the delivery would be delayed. I said, we already check in and she said it would be 20 mins. 35 minutes later I called and she said they would be done soon but that they had to do "other" orders. We were the only ones waiting so they filled multiple orders for later times slots instead of ours. We were repeatedly lied to by Allison, the manager of the department, and was only offered $5 for our trouble. We got our order after an hour and 45 minutes and several more lies. Teaching people honesty and accountability in customer service roles is lost at this store. read more

This store almost never has any cashiers for checkout, meaning you have to use self-checkout all the time, which is terrible if you're trying to get a large amount of groceries at once. Additionally, they almost never have anyone that will cut deli meat. read more

Clerk that runs the self checkout out stands has a major attitude problem. I completed my order at the checkout stand turned around to exit the store when he came barreling down the checkout line nearly knocking me down didn't apologize or even acknowledge that he almost hit me I'm nearly 50 years old he's considerably younger than me. I didn't get his name (if he even had a name tag on) but he wears not a mask like people do for Covid-19 but a winter balaclava like people do at a ski resort outside on a freezing day. He looks very unprofessional and frankly I'm surprised management allows him to present this way while working with the customers. I think he needs more training or a different position (maybe a ski lift attendant at Breckenridge) since he appears not to know how to be a professional. If I could give 0 stars I would. I placed a pick up order this morning before 8 am for a 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm pick up this evening. I did not receive a text, call anything about an issue with my order. After myself and about 4-5 other vehicle's waited for a good 20 minutes a young lady came out and told everyone they are short staffed and our orders were not ready and we would have to go home. She didn't tell me when it would be ready, I would get refunded, nothing but , "you'll have to go home." I spoke with another employee who came out and said it was their assistant manager who failed to cancel the pick up orders and inform the customers they would not be filled like he was told to do all day. When I went inside to shop & pay for my items AGAIN I can't even count hope many items were out of stock. Chicken, garlic, parsley, milk, & so much more. They had no baggers & employees that don't give a shit. I thought this King Soopers would be better than the one off I-225 & Parker but this one is soooooo much worse. The newest King Soopers, ...(and the folks who work there are great), however it is the smallest, and items are constantly being removed. When you walk into the store, you have to walk through clouds of smoke under the no smoking sign. I have COPD and it is difficult for me. They can't or won't stock many products because it is so small. I often go to other stores since every trip I make there, I have a list of things that I can't get there,..so off to another store I go. It makes me only use this store as a last resort even though it is the closest to my home and I go to the one on Monaco and Leetsdale and Cherry and Leetsdale more frequently since they are near my office and they are better at keeping items in stock and keeping their smoking staff away from the entrances. read more

I absolutely love this new King Soopers! Not only is it brand new with all kinds of great stuff but the customers, staff and managers are amazing and honest folks. I want to thank them a million times! I seemed to have dropped my wallet at the self checkout yesterday and when I called this AM they told me it had been turned in and was there! I went in to pick up doughnuts at 5:40 on a Friday morning and they did not have any doughnuts in the case. ?? they open at 5:00. It was grand opening day, and the suits were out in force! Smiles abound everywhere you turned. Warm greetings, polished shoes and polished veggies. The store has a very modern look to it. It's definitely more upscale in appearance. Tucked away in the middle of my Stapleton neighborhood, it's just a short walk away from home. I'm giving them five stars today because everything was on point, but I'll be reevaluating after the suits go back to their corporate offices and it becomes business as usual. read more
