This isn't a coffee review! I got the tea-bunny late and tried the brat matcha. I also got a cinnamon pop tart which was my favorite part! It was so yummy. The tea was good too with alternative milk options which I loved. The matcha was very sweet and wasn't my favorite but I know that is some people's cup of tea. Overall the vibe is great, some seating is available and it feels bigger than it looks on the inside of the shop. The service was also super friendly!

vanilla caramel latte was really good The Strawberry Matcha was all right. It taste more like a strawberry milkshake instead of a strawberry Matcha. The pastry was absolutely not the best I have ever tried I was really looking forward to it, but it was just not it overall the environment was really wonderful and the service was amazing. They were really fast on making our drinks overall four star

Had the opportunity to enjoy King Coffee yesterday! My husband and I decided to take advantage of some of the last beautiful mornings before summer hit and rode our bikes to King Coffee! It's a cute place nestled off of Mill Ave; tad south of University. We didn't do anything crazy and just got some cold brew and and iced espresso with dash of cinnamon and honey. Coffee was very reasonably priced and service was quick. We did want to get a breakfast burrito, but they were out, along with the breaky paninis. I'm but sure if it was coming off holiday weekend or what not, but it was 8 AM, so tad odd, but they did have bagels and some pastries. The place is super cute though and they have cocktail, beer and mead during select days of the week. As well as other food offerings and small bites. I didn't get to check out the whole menu, but seems like a fun spot to meet up with a friend. Lots of people rotating in and out, always a good sign! They offer couple outdoor tables and have plenty of two tops inside as well! - Will definitely be revisiting again!

This super chill spot kind of reminds of Flagstaff's toasted owl, but in a smaller location. Electric, room to study/work, and some chill tunes. The server was quick with my drink. It was delicious, definitely recommend.

Very cute place! Great customer service. I had an iced chai latte and a veggie panini. I was happy with it, and I will definitely be going back!

A quiet coffee shop right by ASU that's a great place to get work done! Parking is less than ideal, but it was a cool little shop. I got the lavender earl gray tea iced, which was VERY floral/the lavender was a bit overpowering but I still enjoyed it.

In a town littered with many specialty coffee shops this is my favorite little indie shop in all of Tempe! It's a very intimate little place, it can be challenging to find a seating for groups of 5 or more people when they're busy. But we travel in two's so seating is always available. Josh is our favorite Barista!

Such a cute coffee shop. It's very warm and welcoming vibe. I got mocha raspberry coffee, so delicious. Made perfect. I can feel the love. Girl at cashier was adorable too

Indoor seating for 2, bigger tables on other side.

Any establishment with "coffee" in the name should be able to make a decent cappuccino. Taupe colored milk doesn't cut it.

Delicious lattes. Now that they expanded and remodeled, there's a good sitting/study/work area to enjoy them in.

I ordered one of the side salads but I asked if I could have them add fresh pear to it because of course the name of the place is Perfect Pear Bistro so I was naturally craving pears. They serve salads, bowls, sandwiches, all-day breakfast, protein shakes, fresh juices, and other healthy, fast-casual eats for dine-in or take-away. My kind of place! This is one of those spots that I'd frequent if I lived nearby (ChopShop, want to open in Northern California?!). I stumbled upon this spot after a little self-guided tour of ASU campus on a sleepy Sunday morning (everyone must have been asleep after the big football game the day before). I'd forgotten about this spot and it was such a happy surprise to find it again and to see that they survived the pandemic and are still thriving. First visit I ordered: -Cheat Day Wrap: scrambled egg, bacon, white cheddar, smashed avocado, tomato, brown rice (I ordered without rice), and turkey or ham (I skipped these too) *DELISH on a whole wheat wrap!!! Full of flavor and super easy to eat. This hearty breakfast sando fueled my active morning of hiking "A" Mountain (Hayden Butte Preserve) the running around the the IronMan course to spectate (30,000+ steps as a spectator!). We couldn't leave town without another trip. I took my guy and we enjoyed a salad, another breakfast wrap, and: -Chicken + Prosciutto Sandwich: grilled chicken, prosciutto, fontina, arugula, fig mostarda, dijon (no dijon for us), on a house bun. If you're in the area, looking for a healthy-ish breakfast, lunch, or snack, definitely check out Original ChopShop. Note: it gets busy at peak meal hours with students and faculty. Order at the kiosks (super easy), grab a number, find a table in their cozy interior or on their large front patio, and your food will be brought to you. Have a question? Just ask - the staff were very friendly and helpful in guiding our choices. And I love that they allow modifications to most menu items! We'll be back!!!

But my first experience was not that great. They had plenty of places to sit, whether you like to sit indoors or outdoors. I decided to try the "Glow Up Shake," which is their protein shake. The shake was okay; it didn't blow me away. Considering that it has banana, pineapple, dates, etc., I was hoping it would melt in my mouth with a galaxy of flavor--darn, no such luck. But like I said, it was an okay drink that I think others might like. Now, as for the $3 pre-wrapped Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie? The first cookie they brought me was hard as a diamond. I asked if they could heat it up to soften it a bit like they do at Starbucks, but he said they can't? Wow, I didn't realize that heating a Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie was so complex that it can't be done by some places. Anyway, the minor good news was he brought me a different cookie that was soft enough to bend and break off a piece and chew without worrying about breaking a tooth. But the big question is, will I be back? Of course I will; the place has a plethora of healthy food which I like. And I'm sure when I order something other than a diamond-hard Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie, my experience will be somewhat better. This place does have a fantastic Wi-Fi. That's a plus.

It had duck bacon (was curious about this bc I'm not a fan of duck), turkey sausage, black beans, quinoa, egg, spinach and more. Somehow that entire medley was perfection when it comes to flavor. We were welcomed with a friendly smile. We explained that the other half of our party was on their way & the host promptly prepared our table... mostly. There were small plates set for each of us, but only one roll-up/napkin (for 4) & no drink menu. Minor details, but it kinda set the tone for the service experience. Now listen... the spot itself is cute. Once we actually got service, our waiter was cool. It just took forevvverrrrr & I ended up having to request cutlery after food was served. To be fair, it was busy, but there also seemed to be plenty of wait staff, so I'm not exactly sure where the disconnect was. Food-wise: the spinach artichoke dip was definitely the table favorite. My caprese panini was ok, it was sadly lacking pesto which feels a little criminal for a caprese situation. Our friends loved the fancy French toast & I was absolutely there for the prickly pear mimosas The entire brunch honestly felt like it was one dropped plate away from becoming a sitcom episode. One poor new waiter dropped a plate on the floor, then later knocked glasses off the rack above the bar & shattered a couple right next to guests sitting there. I genuinely felt bad for him because you could tell he was having a rough shift. That said, I really appreciated that they acknowledged the long wait & gave us a discount without us having to ask. That kind of accountability goes a long way. Overall, I'd still go back & give them another try because the atmosphere was fun, the vibe was there, and I can see the potential. Every restaurant has an off day -- especially during a busy brunch rush.
