Okay, so I knew coming in that the food was edible at best. I just needed a place to relax, take a break, grab a quick bite and get back to my busy day. I chose a buffet so that I could quickly eat and spend the rest of my lunch break peacefully. Well I was correct, the food was not good, but that's okay, I already knew that. What I wasn't prepared for was the rude employees. I was apparently eating during the switch from lunch to dinner, which happens very early in the day! No doubt to be able to charge more than the usual exorbitant amount for as long as possible. I was getting a plate of food and minding the signs that stated "Dinner Only" I put a frog leg on my plate, careful to check for the sign, there was not one. As I headed back to my seat, one of the waitresses followed me step for step until I sat down then pointed to my plate fussing at me. I did not understand what she was saying. She then went and got what I assume to be the manager, who spoke perfect English. He informed me that I had a frog leg on my plate that was for dinner only and that I would have to pay more money. I told him that I was sorry but there was not a sign over it. I asked if he wanted me to put it back (lol) he said no, just don't get more. This was embarrassing to be fussed at by the wait staff and have the manager called to my table in front of the rest of the guests. The manager was polite and diffused the issue, the best he could. They need to figure out a better solution for this in the future. I felt like a criminal. After all of that I still intended to relax for a few. The waitress was intent on that not taking place, she was constantly cleaning the seats at all of the tables near me. Dragging them on the floor making a terrible sound and wiping down the legs of the chairs and then pushing them back under the tables making that awful sound over and over and the chairs banging into each other and the table over and over again. It was all I could do not to say anything. Not to mention the smell of the spray cleaner. On top of all of that, the temperature was well into the upper 70' s very close to 80. I asked about the AC, she just ignored me. I think she felt personally attacked by me putting that frog leg on my plate. I did return again this time I steered way clear of the frog legs! As before the food was expectedly not good, however it was just as hot. I asked about the air again. This time the waitress said she didn't know and called a manager over. The manager played dumb and said it must be broken and that they would call someone to look at it??? Really?! It's obvious to me that they intentionally have the air turned way up to either save on electricity or make customers uncomfortable and leave sooner so that they eat less and or open a table for more people. My money is on making us uncomfortable. I am sitting at my table writing this as my waitress keeps watching me as if she knows what I'm doing. This is a very unwelcoming atmosphere! I will not return. read more
