I absolutely love the food here. I drive 18 miles, and I pass at least 12 other Chinese food restaurants to go to this China wok on Drusilla and get their curry chicken dish! I do the combo with the egg roll and it honestly is one of my favorite meals. The couple that run this place are so sweet and always greet you with a smile. Definitely give it a try! I picked up my order when I got home and unbagged my food a hair was on my box a straight black hair I don't know if it was the waitress or the cooks . nasty . The food was very plain no flavor . Arrived Saturday after 12:30 pm but they had a a few folks waiting for food--in front of us was 3 orders waiting and after we ordered another customer came it---guess theres a lunch rush even on a Saturday. The menu indicates that there a buffet Monday for under $8.00 which is something to try in the city of deserted Chinese buffets but this was a Saturday---on Saturday they still have lunch specials which is a choice of an entree and friend rice for $6 or so---you cannot get a better price than that! We ordered/selected the curry chicken, beef with broccoli and the mandarin chicken lunch specials---the food tasted fine and plenty of size. We will return. No reason not to do so. read more

I got the buffet, which was a bit old, but actuality it was still pretty good. It's definitely not for a vegetarian or vegan though! My friend and I dined in. We enjoyed a lunch combo and one of the combination plates. Our total with drinks didn't exceed 20 bucks. My kind of deal. The food arrived to the freshly prepared. The combination plated included General Tso chicken, fried rice and a egg roll. The lunch combo included sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. Everything was hot even the sweet and sour sauce. The service was quite nice. I don't go many places without visiting the restroom these days. So, I must add that the restroom was clean. I had been craving Chinese food like I get from the China Wok in Central, so I finally decided to try this one. I've lived near it for years but never got there for some reason. I called to place the order, and the man on the phone was very nice and repeated my order as I went to make sure he got it right. I'm very particular about my Chinese food and can be a pain with my substitutions or changes. Since we're in the middle of a pandemic, he said to just give a call when I got to the parking lot and he'd let me know when it was done. I did this, and got out of my car to wait outside the restaurant for my food. The woman who came out was very sweet and promptly got my check and food. Once I got home, I opened my order and dug in. I'm telling you, I thought I was having an out of body experience eating the lo mein. I haven't had decent lo mein in years, and this was incredible. I also got the stir fry vegetables and some plain fried rice which were also delicious. You get huge portions and I ate on it for 3 days. So far, so good. 3.5 stars for me. This place is normally a buffet, but during COVID they are only doing take out orders. Staff was very friendly and even brought my food out to me when I arrived. I paid $13 for an order of crab rangoons and a large roast pork lo mein. Cream cheese is always my guilty pleasure, and these were the best crab rangoons I've had from a Chinese takeout spot. Pure crack. 5/5. Upon seeing the very positive review about the lo mein, I went and ordered some, but the lo mein was only alright; it was very oily and there were bits of cartilage/bone that were included in some of the bits of pork. I'd give it a 2/5. This place is super close to where I live, so I will definitely come back to try some other items to see if they are worth the regular visits. read more

This is our family's absolute favorite place for Chinese food. We have been loyally coming here for 12 years, and kept coming when they moved a few stores down the Drusilla strip. I am glad they finally raised their buffet price to $6.49. It's STILL a bargain. The husband and wife who own it are incredibly sweet and always very accommodating for small requests: e.g., there is no white rice on the buffet, only fried rice; however they happily give me a bowl of fresh white rice when asked. They will give me the fresh, warm sweet & sour sauce in a little styrofoam cup to go for my egg rolls, instead of those little pre-made packets, etc. The buffet is very small, but guess what?? It is a thousand times better than the huge buffets in town (lookin' at you, King Buffet on Bluebonnet!!). Quality over quantity any day!! Strangely enough, they even have delicious fried shrimp on the tiny buffet - and being from Nola, this is a huge compliment. I normally would NOT eat something like this at a Chinese restaurant. And you have to try their Hot & Sour soup. Oh my. It's delicious!! The only place that comes close to China Wok is Hunan on Sherwood, but we actually prefer China Wok. This is only Chinese cuisine for me! Anything in their garlic sauce is scrumptious! Fried ragoons and soups are great too. My go to favorite is chicken and veggies in garlic sauce with shrimp fried rice. It's always enough for two meals. Their prices are so reasonable and the owners are incredibly nice. Sit yourself and get your own utensils. No music playing. Only the door chime when people come in. Mostly hi spanic painters and fat people. I hope I don't get my credit card information stolen. I should have paid cash. Nasty food. It was so quite I could hear people chewing. I was grossed out. Oh. Did I mention the plastic utensils and styrofoam plates. today 5/28/2016 6:30 p.m i placed an order through grubhub, i just had spinal surgery couldn't cook for my family so i placed a $79.44 order and i paid 20% tip to driver, i sent my wife to ask the driver if they gave her the over $13 tip from my credit card when i placed the order she said no they only pay them sometimes tips and by the mile only that she was new there but quitting soon because of that!!! i gave her another cash tip this time since grubhub rips employees off, then my order was missing 2 whole meals..so i will never use grubhub again, its pretty sad you're just now branching out but sooooo many bad reviews, you will slowly bankrupt!!! i recorded the 2 calls i will post & share how your reps hung up on me and never offered to fix my order or do ask i politely requested to have the restaurant write what each meal was because it's chinese and i'd have no clue what food is for who but when it wasn't done like she said it would be she hung up when i called back to complain after i spoke to china wok & asked if your company told them to if she couldn't have done that then she should have said so & i would have called the restaurant my self..illiterate employees obviously!!!! read more
