    Fried dumplings and shrimp eggroll
    Reyna C.

My husband just got food from this place and honestly we expected better,he said the general tso chicken was fishy in taste and half of it was cold! I got the shrimp shopsuey nd it was very bland nd only like 10 small shrimp ,steamed white rice has wierd after taste, and finally my fried dumplins weren't as fried, and my shrimp egg roll was mostly flour than shrimp and veggies. We will not go to this place anymore.

    1/2 order of Steamed Dumplings...

This little Chinese place is right near my residence but had never tried it until just recently and damn it was good!!! What was even more shocking about the experience was it was my boy who suggested it...WTF!!! This kid wants to branch out his food palate less than anybody I know or am related to....turns out when he was practicing for the DTHS Christmas play they ordered from here one night, he was starving so he tried it and lo and behold, the boy actually liked it...Damn near had a seizure when he relayed that story to me!!!! The night I tried it, the boy was craving some of their Beef Fried Rice, my niece had dropped by for a visit so me and her ordered ourselves a coupla Pork Eggrolls, Steamed Dumplings and Crabmeat Wantons.....Holy Hell, everything was muy delicisioso (a little Spanish lingo)....The eggroll was fried just right and was crispy and moist, the crabmeat (I HATE crabmeat) wantons were light and tasty but the Steamed Dumplings blew me the freak away!!!! Plus the boy didn't finish his full quart of Beef Fried Rice so a coupla days later I heated it up and finished it off for lunch and dammit Jim, even heated up it was still a tasty treat!!! So if you're in the Dutchtown area and craving some hole-in-the-strip mall Chinese stop in and get you some... PS they have the ability for eat in but most people get as carry out and take it home

Mmmmm good. This place is very good. The people that work there are so friendly. I highly recommend them. Tell your friends.

Undercooked fried rice. Seems like a basic requirement for decent Chinese.garlic shrimp was very bland.

The menu here is very vague with not very many options for sides or combinations. As for the food itself, it is not very appetizing, especially for the outrageous prices. Not to mention that I received the wrong meal altogether after relaying specific instructions on what I wanted. To make matters worse, delivery takes forever and although it has nothing to do with the establishment itself, I unfortunately had the pleasure of having a Door-dasher who is a heavy smoker, leaving all of my food to smell like cigarette smoke.

Decided on shrimp fried rice after reading another review here & highly agree it is one of the better I've had. The shrimp were larger than expected, plentiful, flavorful & sweet. Shrimp were Perfectly cooked! The fried rice was perfectly balanced imo. Eggroll was tasty & average. I only tasted the boneless pork ribs & did not like the meat texture and the sauce was not at all to my liking. I prefer the ribs & sauce to be more browned & sauce caramelized, but the sauce just wasn't anything like I've had before. Don't think cooking it more would help it. Blah. Still overall, I will come back even just for the shrimp fried rice when I don't feel like cooking. It's out of my way but I've tried the closer places since I moved from LP, & been sorely disappointed. The fried rice here was as good as Viet Garden way down Florida Blvd, which I used to live closer to. Viet Garden obviously isn't Chinese but it's a nice sit down restaurant with very good food, when out that way.

We met the owner, Shelly, who is originally from China, and she was incredibly warm and welcoming. What really surprised us was that they served us fresh wasabi instead of the usual paste -- I've never had that before, and it was amazing. Once you try it fresh, you can never go back. Our server, Dashay, was fantastic -- kind, attentive, and just such a lovely young woman. We started with hot sake and Kirin draft beer, then ordered a spicy tuna roll and a hamachi (yellowtail and scallion) roll, both of which were excellent. We also had tempura -- the batter was a little thick for my personal taste, but the sauces were so good that it still hit the spot. My favorite dish was the ama ebi (sweet shrimp), especially because they bring out the fried shrimp head, which was crispy and delicious. The sushi was fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully balanced. Between the amazing food and the genuine hospitality, we had such a wonderful evening. I can absolutely see why this is Parker's favorite sushi spot in Gonzales. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely be back.

We ordered the vegetable spring rolls they had very little filling, had an odd flavor from the oil, but were very crispy. I ordered the hibachi lunch. My daughter ordered General Taos chicken. The portions were large. The fried rice had hard dried out pieces of rice, I guess it had sat open somewhere and dried out. the menu said my chicken would have a teriyaki sauce, not teriyaki, some not good sauce which was so salty I couldn't eat it. The raw chicken had not been covered I am guessing, because it had a 'skin' on it? I could not eat it. My lunch came with a choice of salad or clear soup. I chose the salad, was very crispy but it had almost an 1/2 inch of water in the bottom of the bowl. My daughter said her clear soup was excellent. Her General Taos chicken had an old freezer taste she said . We were totally unable to eat the entrees. So sad. We had hoped that this would be our go to place for Chinese food.
