The food never lacks flavor -- you can savor every bite. The portions are just as amazing. One time the chicken was grilled long enough. And the meat wasn't ready. The Orange whip machine doesn't create whip. But other than that food is mostly alway prepared good or made to order Tilapia plate or shrimp Fried rice if you don't mind waiting. Above all I've been in there when they are doing a thorough clean. Every thing I saw was in wheels do so they could move things around. They are big on keeping it clean for inspections. I have grown to love this hole in the wall joint. It's classic steam table Chinese fast food. The dishes are made in small batches so they are always fresh. At first glance the place really looks like a hole in the wall. The menu was not the clearest and most understandable menu in the world. The staff that work there are very nice and patient. I had the orange chicken, kung pao chicken, chicken teriyaki, beef with broccoli, eggrolls, and chow mein. I thought the food was very flavorful and not too greasy. What can I say about King Bowl. It's "generic" Chinese food. With that being said it's the best generic Chinese food I've ever had. It's cheap and good. Good luck finding a $7 plate of food in the area that can't even be contained by the container because they stuff it to the max. It's survived the test of time. Came here on a whim after a brief work visit a couple months ago. It's your typical Chinese fast food place with super greasy entrees and huge portions. The teriyaki chicken and chicken wings are the stars. I initially came back all the way here from the valley after news that the illustrious ok Chinese in eagle rock closed due to a vermin infestation lol this was the only place i knew that did the same style wings in the area in mass quantity. It's so flavorful and hearty, i am usually not into fried rice because you have to drown it in soy sauce but this fried rice is superior. The beef and broccoli is so fresh and the beef is not chewy. The beef and broccoli also has carrots which elevate the dish. Orange chicken is so delicious. The quality of the chicken is great too. The chow Mein is so bomb. King Bowl has party trays. I noticed the sign in their window and ended up using them to cater a graduation party. Everyone really enjoyed the food and the prices were very reasonable. We paid something like $40-$50 for a huge tray of rice and chow mein each. They filled the order the same day also, even though this wasn't ideal for them. Very friendly and helpful. The chow-mein was decent and not as starchy as some, the fried rice actually had flavor, and the orange chicken was not just sweet, it had a nice tang to it, which might or might not have been spoiled meat.
