This place is always a vibe! Been here a couple of times and the ambiance was great. Service could be better but maybe it's due to the busy crowd. I wish the late night menu had more to offer
The Asian fusion chicken and waffles tasted amazing. I loved the mixture of flavors and it's something I would've never tried outside of this restaurant. The ambiance is gorgeous and it's very spacious plus good music. The service got it 4 stars just due to the hostess and server being very serious, not as friendly and welcoming as I'd prefer for a fun day. Also the hookah person does not replace coals, they only do refills which is a bit of a ripoff because coals need changing before a bowl of shisha does.
Stopped by for a few drinks on a Friday night. I had made a reservation on resy prior. When we got to the front door we were told there was a cover charge for guys although the resy description had no information about a cover charge for 10:30pm. Not a huge fan of that. We were able to grab a spot outside to sit but in terms of ordering drinks we had to walk to the bar on the opposite side of the rooftop to grab drinks and that was the only form of ordering. That took half an hour, we also could not order food outside and were told we would also have to go back to the bar to order food. No thanks. The only highlights I have here are that the drinks were tasty and the views were nice although the rooftop outdoor area is very tiny compared to other rooftops. They have hookah as well which we also ordered which was $60 and it was decent, however they need to change the ordering system and have servers take drink and food orders outside.
I give this restaurant about 2.5 stars. If you're going here for the music and a good time then it's cool. They play great music but nobody in my party seemed truly thrilled with their dish, it was underwhelming. The server was nice and helpful. I got the crispy chicken sliders & they were ok.
Stopped by on a weekday so it wasn't crowded at all. We booked a reservation for 5:30pm. When we got there, there was no one at the door to greet us and bring us up the elevator. We couldn't go up by ourselves because apparently it requires some kind of key/special access to reach the rooftop. After waiting around for a bit, we went next door to the hotel. The front desk staff was confused as to why there was no host at the door and no staff to bring us up to the rooftop. He made a call and finally got someone to work the elevator. The guy working the elevator was super friendly and awesome. Our server was attentive at the beginning, but then the service dropped off later in the evening. It looked like she was attending to other patrons on the other side of the rooftop, so she probably didn't see us or maybe had too many tables to look after. We had to ask a busser to please ask for the server at least twice. Ambiance: Some people in our party thought it was tacky looking, while others were fine with the decor. However, we all agreed that the rooftop would be better if it wasn't still mostly covered. The cover blocks out most of the awesome views. Not sure why it's still covered since it's almost officially summer & the weather has been super warm! Drinks were good. Tried a variety of apps: - the pupu platter (choice of 3 apps) was not worth it. Didn't taste the best and seemed kind of pricey for what felt like frozen appetizers. - crab guac and chips were definitely tasty, but was expecting giant pieces of crab in the guac... it was super thin strands that you could barely see. - truffle fries were great (super thin cut so they were nice and crispy). - nachos, pizza, and forgot what else we got, but the rest were not super memorable.
Late review but I visited this place all the way In July 2023. I definitely Loved the vibes! I went for brunch for a b day gathering. I had a great time. Music was A1 and the food was the bomb as well! Would definitely recommend and I would go back.
This is my second time coming here. Came in on a Friday night to celebrate my cousins birthday. We had made reservations online. Online, it states we should arrive 15 minutes prior to our reservation time. There was actually no line this time around when we arrived. At the main entrance, you get checked by security. Women only were given tickets for a free rum punch. There was no fee to get in this time around. However, last year when we came we were charged. Once you pass security, you are asked to wait for the elevator to take you up to the roof top. An employee is in charge of taking you up and down. This rooftop is very spacious. Love the decor of this place. There are multiple seating areas. We sat by the dj booth. Dj played great music throughout the night. They switch Dj's throughout the night. We ordered the crispy spring rolls, coconut shrimp, chicken wings, and ribs. Food and rum punch were good. Menu prices are very reasonable for a rooftop. Overall, it is a great spot to celebrate birthdays or just to chill. They do brunches here as well. Fridays, they open until 3am, but their websites state 4am. They need to update their hours of operation.
This place is unnecessarily loud. Like deafening loud. The food tasty like garlic was the only seasoning. I have never eaten at a restaurant that gives you porcelain plates but plastic forks and acrylic glasses. Yelp offered a 10% discount and bartender had no clue how to use it. I only came here because I wanted to watch the game and I'm at the Sheraton next door. The worst part was the bartender was smoking and were the enclosed part of the restaurant. I believe this is illegal. The only good thing about today's experience is that they had televisions by the bar so I was able to watch the wnba playoffs. I left at half time to finish watching the game in my room. I did buy some wings for later and pray they are half descent. Oh I forgot to mention the hookah smell from the other patrons that came in after me. Not everyone wants to inhale all of this carcinogens. I'll rate the wings later and update this review. I literally had to add to this review because on my way out not one of the four employees I saw said a word to me. I'm used to hearing someone thank me for coming. There was a photographer there and I watched her ask four Caucasian patrons if they wanted their picture taken but this beautiful black queen, she ignored. Her loss because I'm an excellent tipper.
The ambiance of this place is 10/10 and it's definitely great for Instagram photos BUT the service is not the best. I went with my friend for brunch around 1pm/2pm and they were trying to charge us a cover to eat brunch??? I understand that this rooftop is a restaurant and lounge but charging people to enter who just want to eat during the day is actually ridiculous and it wasn't even like there was a DJ. There payment system wasn't working so we were able to get in without paying the cover charge. I wouldn't have eaten here if I had to pay to get in. The food was good and I wouldn't recommend the bottomless mimosas unless you were planning to stay there for awhile because each individual will get charged and it's kinda a waste of money if you aren't planning to be there that long. I'd say only come here if there is an advertised event with a DJ that you are willing to pay a cover charge for.
We came to Kimoto Rooftop looking for good drinks and to relax in Brooklyn on a Saturday afternoon. We were a little surprised that was is a $10 cover per person unless you have reservations I guess. Upon entering the rooftop, you're greeted by colorful flowers and decor throughout. This is a huge space with different varieties of seating, from tabletop, lounge booths, and lounge chairs. It was hard to find a spot at first, because many places had reserved signs on them, and others we were told were reserved but had no indication of it. When we were escorted to another section and told where we could sit, we were eventually told that our table was reserved for another party. Jordan (who turned out to be the manager), was beyond professional and courteous to work with and allow us to stay in our section since the next party wasn't going to arrive for another hour. The vibes and good times (and hookah) are prevalent here, and the DJ was phenomenal with his music selection. The Cereal Killer intrigued me once I saw that it truly had Corn Flakes in it. The strawberry and orange hid the Bacardi nicely, but not making it too sweet. My love enjoyed the White Yuzu Lychee Sangria. When we finished our drinks and paid the bill, Jordan again apologized for the miscommunication and offered for us to come to the bar for shots. We went over and the bartender was VERY generous. It was much more than a few shots in our glasses, we enjoyed being able to chill by the bar, drink, and dance to the music. This is a Brooklyn Gem that's a must-visit for a guaranteed fun time with friends or on a date.
Yo the food here, trash... however the ambience is awesome. Great vibe, the bus boys awesome... suggested a few things in passing. Our waitress Imani... she was awesome. She knew what it was, saw our vibe and took care of us. Checked in, corrected errors and did it all with a smile. She provided great service. Low key it's 420 friendly - don't blast it out but you can smoke on the outside patio. Great spot for a date. Only reason I'm giving three stars because of the food. We order three dishes and none of them was bustin' Live, love, and laugh - Sha
First, let me say I had no "say so" on selecting this location. My sisters selected it for my Birthday celebration. It was a "Birthday Surprise" kinda thing. As soon as we entered the building a rude host informed us of a "cover fee" in the amount of $10 per person. My sisters asked: "Is there still a cover fee If we pre ordered bottles and spent $500 on the pre ordered bottles?" Rude Host: YES! Me, the Birthday Girl asked: "What exactly is the fee covering? Isn't this a restaurant ? We have to pay to get into a restaurant? What is the $10 covering? Rude Host was clueless and dumbfounded. She looked to her Rude henchman security co worker and he barked, "EVERYONE PAYS". My sisters just paid the $30, because there were 3 of us even though they already PRE ORDERED $500 WORTH OF BOTTLE SERVICE. NEVER HAVE I EVER, in all my dining experiences in America and other countries, PAID to get into a restaurant!! Also before getting on the elevator, the henchman searched us. NEVER HAVE I EVER been to a restaurant that searches women's pocketbooks. Anyway, You have to take an elevator to get to the restaurant, we attended Sunday Brunch. Once we arrived we were greeted by a friendly Host named Briana. She informed us we could pick wherever we wanted to be seated. I rated this place 2 stars. One star for the vibe. The DJ was on point that afternoon ( our reservation was for 230pm). It's definitely a boozy brunch and that's it. The bottomless mimosas WILL get you tipsy If not drunk. .5 star for the waiter Bre, who was nice but slow with service. I kinda think the section she was covering was too big. She could of used some help from her coworkers. .5 star for the outdoor ambiance. Got some cute pics outside. The food is mediocre, nothing to even talk about. I don't even remember what I had. The furniture was cheap and rundown. CHEAP RIPPED UP PLEATHER COUCHES WITH HOLES!!! Like you could see, the cushion of the couches through the rips. The ripped up pleather was practically cutting into our skin. Dear Management, How about you use the $10 cover charge your establishment is charging customers to enter a restaurant to purchase some desperately needed new furniture. I will not be back. Respectfully, The Birthday Girl
We were enjoying ourselves until I would assume she was a manager came over (her name was Sidam possibly spelt wrong ), I saw her all night. It wasn't until it was time for our table to be given up did she come over asking if everything was okay then immediately ask right after when we were leaving!.... I will say our host Domonique was amazing!.... The manager Mani as well , kept looking over at our section as if we needed to leave.
Came to celebrate my cousin surprise birthday. A TIME WAS HAD!! I truly enjoyed the bartender. He was very sociable and energetic. He had such a positive attitude. He knew how to make his drinks and he did it so effortlessly. All my drinks where delicious. It was very spacious. It wasn't a full house so we where free to walk around and dance and be extra loud. Party don't stop until the venue close lol read more
I have been coming to Kimoto Rooftop for a while. I been here 4 times each visit was different. The vibes is always there because it's the people who you come out with. The bartender Thursday night 5/8/25 made excellent drink. I really tip him good for the 3 drinks he made me. My party we truly enjoyed themself. We party until 1am and still had a wonderful time after. read more

This lounge/restaurant is located next door to the Sheraton Downtown Brooklyn where I was staying over the weekend I absolutely loved my time at Kimoto Rooftop this past weekend. Special nod to the manager, Jordan for his personable demeanor and service as I came in with my parents the first night. We loved the salmon entree and the chop cheese egg roll bites.. If you want a place with great drinks and good music, this is it. The staff are all friendly and helpful. I even came back the following night with my cousins. Great spot. read more

Came here to celebrate my birthday and while we did make the best of it. I wanted more. First things first, you have to put 50 down to reserve this for brunch. It will ultimately go towards the bill. You are then informed that everyone pays a 10 dollar fee just to get in. To be honest , that is unnecessary especially if it is a large group doing pre-fix etc. Upon arrival I noticed we were placed in a corner outside away from everything and it looked janky. I asked to move inside and they were able to accommodate and put us in the way nicer and decorated space. The waitress was not attentive. We had to chase her down for stuff. I didn't like that. She was never by the table checking in. They decorate it decently and the DJ was ok. Wish the vibes were more upbeat. Wasn't much dancing on the dance floor but more so in your seat at your section. They have hookah, the first one was great. The refills were not. Don't refill. The down side was food/brunch drinks. You are charged 55 pp for 1 brunch entree and unlimited mimosas for 2 hrs. I got the shrimp teriyaki from the brunch menu. It came out cold. The shrimp just tasted too grilled like charred but wasn't hot. Nothing on my plate even came remotely warm. It was terrible. The drinks came pre mixed in a pitcher and 75 percent juice/ fake juice mix. There was barely champagne and certsin flavors were overly sugary and tasted fake. I went to the bar and got an old fashion and that is the only drink I enjoyed. Also, the establishment knew it was a birthday. However, did nothing to acknowledge that. Didn't ask if I wanted dessert. Nothing. This whole weekend every other spot did something besides kimoto. Poor hospitality on their part. Would not recommend for a celebration. read more

A group of 6 went here Wednesday night at 7:30pm for my gf mom's birthday. It's been about 3 years since I last been here. It's still a really cute spot with beautiful views and good music. They had a live DJ and the waitress went around asking if the music was good or if we wanted it louder/lower but it was just right. We had amazing service from Ariann H. She was personable and very attentive. She took out orders and went over them 1 by 1 to confirm. Our food came out super quick! The only thing that took a very long time to come out was the ribs. Drinks: we had the happy hour margarita pitchers. We started with passion fruit then wanted the mango but they were out of mango, so we had another passion fruit. The drink tasted good but it was too sweet and and it wasn't strong. We also had the $5 patron shots which they offered all night. Food: we had the soy garlic and Korean bbq chicken wings, fries, pu pu platter with chicken gyoza, spring rolls, and fried shumai, garlic fried rice with chicken, steak quesadilla, jumbo crab meat fried rice, BBQ baby back ribs, spicy crab guacamole dip, volcano sushi rolls, and Brooklyn sushi rolls. Everything came out hot and fresh. The only food item we did not enjoy was the spicy crab guacamole dip. The guacamole could've been a bit smoother, it was just like big chunks of avocado and it was hard to scoop. Everything else was good and flavorful. We also had hookah that was really good! The hookah guy came around often to make sure the coals were replaced and that it was still pulling smoothly. They charge a 20% auto gratuity but again our server fully deserved it. read more

Brunch was ok Cons $10 entry $60 hookah no one dances better for a 1 on 1 date Pros: Mimosa very strong and large portion food large portion as well i recommend Ginger fried rice dj was Also not sure if there was a special event but after brunch the day party turned into a Homosexual party. Not that that is an issue Nd boy they could dance and have fun.... but a heads up would be nice for single heterosexual men or women who are dating . I wouldnt come back read more
We visited Kimoto twice in the same weekend and it definitely passed the vibe check both times. I loved the decor and the music. The hostess and our waiter was nice. We arrived about 30 mins past our reservation time on our first day here and they still were able to accommodate us. The brunch host (who was also a manager) had so much energy which made the experience fun. We also had a photographer take our picture but you had to pay $20 to get the physical print of it which comes in a nice frame. The food was terrible. First, it took about 20 minutes to get our food just for it to be COLD! I had the shrimp teriyaki and the shrimp tasted like it was cooked on a grill that wasn't cleaned properly. It tasted like straight charcoal and the teriyaki sauce didnt even mask it. My friends also weren't fans of their meals either. We had passion fruit mimosas which was just okay. I don't think I'd come back to eat but I'd definitely come back for the vibes and a good time. read more

Beautiful but there is an up sale to everything. We came for a date over drinks. We were surprised that there was a cover to enter which is $10 a person. Most tables are reserved which was annoying at first because some of them were not labeled when we arrived. It would have been helpful to have been guided to where we could sit. The manager was super kind and accommodating in the end and ensured that we had a great time which we are super grateful for his hospitality. The drinks were great and the ambience was fun, well decorated and trendy. It would be a great place to come back for a day party birthday Music: dancehall, Burna, Davido reggaeton, tik tok trending, danceable hip hop, read more
Can I say, a whole vibe ? I came to Kimoto with my friend for brunch. Let's just start with the aesthetics. This place is super pretty and was very nicely decorated. I loved the garden feel along with the flower wall. To come here, you pay a deposit in advance which is becoming the norm since COVID. Your deposit ends up being deducted from your final bill. The process was super smooth and we had no issues here. The food was great - from the sushi, wings and chicken and waffles. Everything was delicious. I was surprised at the reviews that talked about the lack of flavor because everything was flavorful! The drinks were great - the mimosas surely had me lit. The hookah was also very good - no short burning coals. It lasted a really long time before needing to be refilled. The food, drinks and vibes were all great BUT let me tell you the DJ was my favorite part. I didn't get his name but I believe he's Asian. Let me tell you, he had the place jumping - you could not help but dance and sing/rap at the top of your lungs. We stayed so long that there was another DJ set. He was also very good. I honestly can't wait to come back. This would be a great place to celebrate a birthday or just come with a group of friends. read more

I attended Kimoto Rooftop for brunch On a Sunday. The live DJ Catered to a west Indian audience, the jams were jamin! Hookah is served for all you hookah lovers. There are also bottomless mimosas for all to enjoy, three flavors of mimosas at that! Did I mention that there was a host who knew how to bring the party to life?! He put all the Aries celebrating their birthday on the spot to walk down the runway. Lastly the views were great and the food is slamming! No complaints read more
My bf and I loved this rooftop bar. First time coming here the service was really good too. The staff was very attentive. My drink was never empty long. We good food and really loved the wings. Definitely an affordable place. Very much a party vibe on a Friday. read more
Honestly. We were expecting more since we reserved a table and had a "dress code". Coming from San Diego, it was honestly subpar. It's a hookah lounge and bar that serves food. The food is not bad, but to have reservations and dress code only to serve you with plastic cups and plastic silver wear... be real. We were not impressed, especially with one drink each and an appetizer shared to be a $60 tab. I wouldn't recommend, go somewhere more worth your time. read more

Pretty good chill spot in downtown BK. The food was good, the staff was always available. The venue is small but chilled. I just don't like the idea of paying $10 to come in and then paying for food & drinks. This is my 2nd time going and it is pretty much the same concept. read more
So I took my friend here for her birthday. It was a Friday night and they charge a $20 cover fee after 9pm and $50 minimum spend per person. This venue is located on the rooftop of the Sheraton hotel in downtown BK off Fulton st. It offers indoor seating as well as balcony seating outdoor. The setting is somewhat like a club/restaurant mix. There's a live DJ, hookah, and bottle service available. We were seated right across from the bar which was cool. Our server was friendly. The menu options have many appetizers and cocktails but not many main dishes to choose from. Food: overall the food here is like a 2.5-3/5. There is nothing special or particularly delicious about it but it's good for soaking up the drinks. Pupu platter: this was alright. Not bad. The volcano roll: I highly recommend against ordering this if you eat and like real sushi. This was offensive. They have five pieces of deep fried roll which was probably fried too long because everything inside was hot, the lobster on top and inside was not giving what it was supposed to give, there was no other type of fish that I could appreciate inside. Just pass on this one ok. Garlic fried rice: this was iight, relatively tasty initially and tastier after a couple of tropical mules. Also a very large portion. Drinks: The Tropical mule was hitting. It's good, a bit sweet but can sneak up on you. We got a pitcher after having tried one and it serves about 4 drinks. Forbidden fruit: my friend seemed to enjoy it. Price range: about $200-300 for two (including tip and $40 cover). I feel like the food and the vibe could've been a little better for the price point. Maybe it was just not the right night. But considering it's still Covid era, I was able to make last minute reservations on a Friday night, not wanting to go all the way into the city, this spot was sufficient for the night. read more

This was my first time at Kimoto and in my opinion, it left so much more to be desired. While in competition with the plenty of rooftops in NY that offer a brunch experience, nothing about them stood out. It was my close friend's birthday so she wanted a "brunch vibe" and selected this place. Below is my list of pros and cons which will allow for you to make an informed decision on if you'll dine with them. Pros -Great views from the rooftop -Great mimosas -It is only $65/person for an entree and 2hrs of bottomless mimosas. -Good DJ Cons -They open at 1pm which is more so lunch and less brunch. -The rooftop is very hot and they need more fans to circulate air up there. -Although you are already paying $65 to eat, they charge you an additional $10 to enter. That to me was absolutely insane. -The space could be cleaner -The food had no flavor Will I recommend this spot as a primary consideration to someone? Not likely. read more
