Updated review 6/30/24: 333 Lounge reached out to me and invited me to come back and give them another chance after my first visit didn't work out. I'm all for second chances and supporting small businesses. Shoutout to the 333 Management team for reaching out to me and extending the invitation. My best friend and I decided to finish my birthday weekend by dining here and stopping by for Sunday karaoke brunch. We were greeted by a pleasant hostess at the door. Our server Norma was great from start to finish and our experience was made better with her bubbly and sweet personality. I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Chef C who is the executive chef at 333 Lounge. He assured me that this experience would be great. The music was really good. My friend and I sang along with the music and I even did a little dancing. I enjoyed the ambiance of 333 Lounge. Now let me get into the details about the food. I ordered the Cajun wings with ranch dressing on the side as my appetizer. The wings were piping hot and absolutely delicious. My friend only ate one and I finished the rest because they were really good. I ordered island chicken and waffles and my friend ordered Cajun shrimp and grits. My friend enjoyed her food. She said the grits were the creamiest grits she's ever eaten. She stated the shrimps were really good as well. My island chicken was jerk spiced fried chicken and oh my goodness, it was crispy and scrumptious. It sat on two waffles topped with pineapple salsa with Captain Morgan maple syrup. To say that we simply enjoyed our meal would be an understatement. We truly enjoyed our dining experience at 333 Lounge. Thank you to 333 Management for the opportunity to come back, Chef C for the amazing food and Norma for amazing service and hospitality! We both agreed that we will be back again!

My 1st time going to 333 lounge was a nice experience. The difference was a bartender named Kamirah!!! She has the perfect attitude for bartending!! She always maintains an inviting smile than the other bartender who had an almost dismissive attitude. I noticed 1 of the busboys was in an area and she waved him away to get out of her way vs saying excuse me. A couple of other customers noticed that and we all agreed it was not a nice look for her. I think I ordered 1 drink from the rude one and with Kamirah, I waited purposefully for her to be available and got at least 10 drinks from her instead!!! Kamorah even said we should all return on Sunday for Karaoke which shows me she is looking out for the business. I hope they give Karmirah a raise!! I would definitely return with lots of friends just because of her!!!

So, you may not be able to tell from the rating, but I like 333 lounge. I just feel like it has so much more to offer, but I always leave underwhelmed. Let's start with the food. Birria tacos should not be made with chicken and the salmon cakes didn't taste fresh (prepackaged & warmed up). I got the "IN A SENTIMENTAL MOOD" cocktail since it was one of the few rum options. It just tasted like lime and was served in a curved martini-like glass. For $15, I expected something complex, balanced, or strong. None of the above! The waitress was ok, but she took a little while to check on us and get our orders & didnt have the happiest demeanor. The restaurant takes an automatic 15% tip and we didn't feel moved to give more with the level of service. Music was a good mix of r&b/hip hop but felt too loud. No one dances, football is playing on all the screens, and everyone looked bored or screaming to talk. There are seats near the sidewalk which is nice for people watching. All in all, dark & pretty look, but they need more themed nights to encourage socialization. Everything screens club, party but it falls short. Estelle was there casually eating but I don't think it's a hotspot for celebrities.

If you're a deviled eggs fan, get these.

I came here for a Game Night last night, and though I came alone, I had a really good time. Highly recommend the RUM PUNCH. It's delicious, and from the first sip I knew it would be POTENT. Also, their deviled eggs. Not many places generally offer deviled eggs on the menu, and while you only get 4, these were some of the most flavorful deviled eggs I've ever had at an establishment. I also had the shrimp and grits, which were equally tasty. They don't ask you for a card to open a tab here, but they seem to just know where you are to hand you the bill at the end haha, so I was a bit confused, but they found me, and it was accurate. There was a live DJ playing awesome old-school hip-hop/rnb jams, open karaoke, and super good vibes. Everyone was here to just have a good time. I'm happy that though I came alone, I at least got to play some spades and chat up some of the others there for the Game Night as well. I would definitely return.

    Coquito French toast 333 lounge

Food took 1 hour and we only had tacos and plain coquito French toast ... literally just the French toast no sides! They took the longest on the coquito French Toast and when it came out it was burnt , there were pineapple bits only at the bottom. Just horrible and disappointing waste of money. Their rum punch was great. Wait time and food not worth it disappointed bc I almost missed my other reservation waiting 1 hr for French toast and 2 tacos. Mac and cheese was tasteless .

Went there with my cousin Saturday to have a few drinks. We had a great and good service from Dominique. She was beautiful to look at and has a great personality! Good old school music playing and good atmosphere!

Brunch was a vibe. Really great service and the food was decent. The drinks were potent too. Front windows were completely open and we sat up front which was great but all you smelled was weed. Inside & outside.... I mean i can understand it's legal and all but not while I'm trying to enjoy a Brunch with my honey. Also, they had vendors setting up to sell jewelry and tchotchkes. Not sure I'd try it again. The games on the tables were a cute touch though

Came on a Sunday for Dinner & Kareoke with my homegirl. Located downtown Brooklyn it's a cute spot. It was packed around 9:30 and it starts at 7pm. I went for the the 2 for 1 rum punch all night that was advertised on the eventbrite but I was told by the waitress that management said, it was until a certain time; Also my friend asked at the bar and they didn't know anything about it. One thing I don't like is false advertising it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I ordered the jerk chicken lasagna and it was good. Food came out fast. The rum punch was good. Karaoke was a vibe. Good crowd. Dj seems to be biased on the song request because of the regulars; i went up to request a song and i wasn't even acknowledged. Waitress was attentive. They have to get the rum punch advertising right. All in all good vibe. The hostess of the kareoke is cool.

We stopped by this place since we were in the area & not quite ready to end our brunching & drinking. Came in & we were seated right away in the front area, drinks we tried the Mimosas not bad. On the food we tried the Waffle.. it was good , the SF Chicken wings were very good nice size, good sauce.. I believe we had the BBQ & Cajun flavors? can't 100% recall the flavor it was a long day of drinking lol.. We also had Fries they were good as well nice & crispy. This place has a fun party vibe, good music playing service was good & prices were not bad, over all we enjoyed our time.

Pro's & Con's Aesthetics were nice, service was attentive because we were there early on a Friday night, the food was good, and ok music. Not pleased with the $20 drinks. Didn't realize that's how much for frozen sugar water. Drink prices are so off putting I highly doubt I'd go again or perhaps stick to beer! 18% tip automatically included. I don't mind when 15% is automatically added but the presumptions of taking the liberty of an 18% tip is offensive and also off putting.

What are those!?! These are $12!!! This is Black on Black Crime!!!
    Corinne C.

Great service b/c of that 18% gratuity automatically added to the bill. Ambiance goodt, DJ was hitting. Food was pretty sad, could be way better for what it is. When you try to support Black Businesses and they serve you like this, it is Black on Black Crime!!!! Sorry, not sorry friends.

I put it in my back pocket as a place I might go in the future. I was recently walking in the area when I noticed a sign saying it was open for coffee. Of course I went to check it out. At the main counter, they serve the classics (mocha, latte, chai, matcha) plus a few specials. My cookie butter matcha (with oat and flavored syrup) was less than 6 dollars. It wasn't my favorite matcha, it was a pretty good deal in comparison to other cafes in the area. They have a coffee club where you pay $40 a month for free drinks (coffee or tea based), 10% of items like cocktails, food and wine. Plus you are able to use their wifi in their space which has a funky plush aesthetic. Definitely good for people who need a place to work. It is an interesting way of using this space in the morning. Of course I was told about their happy hour and the jazz Mondays. I would come back to attend that.

And, guess what? Ruth was just what the doctor ordered. So how would I describe Ruth? It's a cross between a speakeasy and a trendy neighborhood bar... and they serve up some tasty drinks and snacks!!! The interior is cozy with a number of arranged seating areas so parties of folks can gather together. The bar area has stool seating where you can watch the bartender make drinks... and there's even a separate back room area that looks like it could be rented out for private events. As for bartenders and staff, they are all awesome!!! Final thoughts = if you are nearby and ready for a nice drink, hit up Ruth. You'll be happy you did!

I've made it a point to visit every vinyl listening bar that I learn of in town, after enjoying the shared experience of someone curating a select vinyl list in intimate spaces in Tokyo. Few have been able to replicate the experience, but Honeycomb Hi Fi Lounge comes close. That the space is narrow with just a few seats along the bar and a few tables mimics the Japanese experience best, where you can almost have it so the whole room is having one conversation together. The music is the focus. The cocktail menu is rather simple, and my Stormbringer drink, with dark rum and ginger beer was not anything to write home about, but $15 is pretty low for cocktails these days so I'll take it. If they introduced new cocktails to the menu with more interesting ingredients I'd be more inclined to return, but the vibes overall are pretty good and the staff really nice.

Was brought here by a dear friend, a neighborhood regular…read more The cocktail was amazing, selection very diverse- many hard-to-find liquors, etc. Bartender was incredibly knowledgable and attentive. My friend and I each order a cocktail, and are catching up. I'm from Brooklyn, however I no longer live here, and this was precious catch-up time with my friend. Then I get interrupted mid-sentence by the old-timer DJ from his low seat in a corner behind the bar. I had bumped the bar with my wrist (bumped my wrist watch as well, not deliberately) and then placed my hand down (granted- more than placed but definitely not slammed), and he decided to warn me that I COULD HAVE made his record skip. It was the Eagles or Santana (far from eclectic, but that's just me). I'm also 99% certain he turned the volume up afterwards, making it even harder to enjoy the company. After that interaction, I struggled to pick it back up with my friend, because I found that distraction very effing rude. When this "4th wall" gets broken down with service, it is hard to then enjoy the space in an uninhibited state. I am all for the Tokyo Vinyl Bar vibe, and I'm also for also giving talent an outlet to share their collection, but this interaction colored my experience, and I closed out after one drink and went elsewhere. I mentioned this to the bartender, and he was kind to offer a buy-back of a rare whiskey, which I did accept. 5 stars for the bartender, but 1 for my experience. I don't like to be harsh or unnecessarily cruel, but this is what it is. I have visited in the past and enjoyed myself. Nonetheless, I certainly won't be coming back.
