I would've much preferred that they omitted the seeds or strained them out prior to blending. Also would've liked a more thicker smoothie, as it liquified and separated rather quickly on the drive home. The honey kumquat lemon tea on the other hand was delicious. I had asked for lemon tea (no honey, no kumquat), and ended up with this. Not mad about this mishap, as it was rather refreshing and something I never knew I needed.

I noticed a QR code on the door for online ordering, scanned it, grabbed an outdoor table and figured I'd give that a try. I ordered the Smoked Salmon and Bacon sandwich, the Apple Pecan Salad with balsamic dressing, and a large cold brew. I paid online and sat outside for maybe 15-20 minutes. I never did figure out whether I was supposed to get a notification that my order was ready, so eventually I just went inside to check. Sure enough, it was ready. Easy enough, and everyone I interacted with was incredibly kind. Then I got home and opened everything, and THAT is when I became really impressed. I had included a note with my order that I planned to eat the salad the following day and asked that the wet ingredients be kept separate. They absolutely understood the assignment. Everything was packaged so thoughtfully. The Apple Pecan Salad was beautiful, incredibly fresh and substantial, with the ingredients carefully separated so it would keep. It wasn't some obligatory pile of greens tossed into a container. You could actually see the care that went into making it. The Smoked Salmon and Bacon sandwich was equally good. Fresh, generously filled and absolutely delicious. I ate half the sandwich and some of the salad and was completely satisfied. Between the two, I can easily get four meals out of what I ordered, which makes the value even better. And the cold brew? Wowzer. Robust and delicious! I think what impressed me most was simply the level of care. A sandwich and a salad aren't complicated foods, but doing simple food really well takes effort. Fresh produce, good ingredients, thoughtful preparation, paying attention to a customer's request, and putting out food that looks every bit as good as it tastes. I felt that in this order. I actually tipped 15% when I ordered because I was thinking, okay, this is basically grab-and-go. After I got home and ate the food, I wished I'd tipped 20%. It genuinely felt good spending my money here. This was visit number one, and they've already set the benchmark. I really hope they stay exactly like this, because what a find. You want a beautiful looking bowl with a lot of different toppings, yet some toppings can go up to 1 dollar PER topping. I don't know if I've just been spoiled by a couple places in SoCal, but at those places they have unlimited toppings and those bowls are the best that there is. I'm not bringing any bias from other locations, but this is just an honest review based on my experience today.

I don't think they adjust the timing to reflect how busy they are inside; I wish they did. Small spot to sit down and eat there if you want and some outdoor tables. However the outdoor tables are considered takeout, so if you order desserts, it won't come on the plates, it will be boxed, and sometimes a mess when the ice cream parts melt and make the paper soggy. No bathrooms inside. They are friendly enough but they often feel like they don't really want to be there but they're cordial enough. I will keep coming back for the dessert anyway! They say they close at 9pm but they don't. The told me 8:45pm and if you come at 8:55pm they're basically shut down. Not a fan of this because if you really close at 8:45pm, then change your hours. Otherwise actually stay open til 9pm, which does mean workers have to stay later. In any case, I'm not a fan when there's this mismatch. On the other hand. The Alley says they're open til 9pm, and if you're at the door at 9pm, they'll let you in.

Shrimp Kimbap Heaven! I stopped by Kimbap Plus and had the shrimp kimbap -- hands down, the best I've ever had! Everything tasted incredibly fresh and homemade, just like something straight out of a Korean kitchen. The rice was perfectly seasoned, the shrimp was juicy and flavorful, and the roll was tightly packed with care. You can really tell the love and effort that goes into each roll. The owner was super friendly too, which made the whole experience even better. It's a cozy little spot, perfect for takeout, and I'll definitely be coming back to try the other flavors! Aunty is the best. Still going strong, and you can truly taste the love she puts into every kimbap. Hers is hands down my favorite. One tip: if you're ordering to-go, call ahead! I always forget and end up ordering in person, and it's usually about a 30-minute wait. Thankfully, I'm never in a rush when I visit. She's the sweetest too. Excellent kim bop. Sunny the chef is very dedicated to quality. Orders take a while so call it in if you need it to be ready quickly. The zucchini in the jun is still crunchy and not overcooked; the steamed egg is so soft, fluffy and delicious. Don't sleep on the four free banchans (side dishes), they're very good as well. The lady server was friendly and efficient, even though she was the only one for the entire place; and she also handled all the many takeouts. We've been coming here for a number of years, and have always love it. The prices have gone up a little, but I think it is still very reasonable.

We opted to dine in and were impressed by the food presentation of a simple bento & tea shop. There are a good amount of seats available and board games to play as well. Service was friendly and ambiance is casual and comfortable (great to chill with some friends). Food took a little long to come out but honestly given the price and quality and what I assume to be a small kitchen + team it did not affect my experience. Lots of parking available next door too. Would definitely suggest this place as a quick lunch spot or a casual hangout with friends!

I'm not sure where you can park other than the small shopping center next door. There are a few businesses that are closed on the end smooshi is on, so I didn't feel too bad taking one of the many empty stalls on that side. After perusing the menu, I decided on the torched salmon roll and a Jasmine milk tea. U was surprised that the roll was freshly made and pretty good considering the price and location. I would say it's a step up from Kozo, borderlining restaurant quality. The milk tea was great, although the boba wasn't perfectly chewy. Not a single complaint about the food or drinks from me! I also appreciated the larger menu variety. They also offer bowls and musubi as well as a bunch of rolls. I took off a star because I think it's sketchy that their card reader doesn't work and that they offer Venmo as an alternative form of payment. The food also took awhile to be made, so maybe try to call ahead if you know what you want.
