This shop features a variety of manapua, dim sum, deep-fried foods, smoothies, coffee, etc. I cannot do the shop justice if I tried to present all the different options, so I'll just focus on what piqued my interest - manapua. I passed by there Tuesday afternoon, but they were closed. So I returned the following day. It was a nice little shop that gave a good impression. I asked the lady at the counter for one each of their manapua. She started to say "seven" but corrected herself that there would be six different kinds, as they were out of one of the varieties. She asked if I wanted them steamed or deep fried. I chose steamed. She said it would be a few minutes. When my order was ready, she had drawn on the container a legend showing dots and other figures which would appear on each bun to let me know which kind it was. There were: * Char Siu * BBQ Chicken * Curry Chicken * Custard * Ube Cream Cheese * Azuki Bean I took it home and asked my wife if she wanted to sample one. Since she doesn't care too much for sweets, I selected the curry chicken. She cut it in half for us to share. It tasted okay to me, but I could tell that my wife didn't care much for it, and she later told me it upset her stomach. Next I tried the ube one. It was nice as a dessert. Although the fillings were different, the texture of the two were dry, firm, and chewy, different from the fluffy steamed manapua I was used to. Later, I tried one after the other of the remaining flavors. The char siu tasted as expected. The custard didn't taste like I had hoped. The BBQ chicken wasn't bad, and the same applies to the azuki. I grew up eating different kinds of steamed manapua, some bright red in color, others a more natural hue, some in between these. The textures and flavors of manapua in my youth varied as well, some with solid pieces of pork, others with steamed fat pieces mixed in with meat. Some had what looked like green onions inside. I accepted each vendor's product as their own variation. Somehow, I wouldn't classify Honolulu Kitchen Little Corner Cafe's version in the same category as what I grew up eating. I'm not familiar with the varieties of Hong Kong style bao. However, I have a long history with local-style manapua, its Hawaiian adaptation. It could be that the business calls their product "manapua" because it's a more familiar name to locals than "bao." Aside from name recognition, one downside is that this could lead to inappropriate comparisons. I may occasionally pick up their buns in the future, or even try some of their other products.

We live in the area and I found them on yelp and we didn't realize there was parking stalls right in front so we parked at the bank. I thought their manapua's looked familiar and their sign says Honolulu Kitchen in it. We got the lychee and strawberry smoothie and the passion fruit mango smoothie. Both were delicious and refreshing. I do want to try their manapua and other food items they have.

Takeout lunch from Honolulu, Hawaii... I've seen my friends' food photos and favorable reviews... so, I had to visit Honolulu Kitchen Little Corner. It's NOT related to Honolulu Kitchen in Waipahu. The first concern for this relatively new business might be about the parking. The street parking was full. Then, I saw the big, empty lot at Saint Louis Clubhouse next door - do NOT park there! Instead, I parked on the sidewalk in a designated stall in front of Honolulu Kitchen Little Corner. It felt a bit odd, so, that's why I didn't want to dine in... even though the interior was spacious, clean, bright, and cute! Ordering from the picture menu seemed easier than reading words... LOL! In the meantime, the nice lady at the counter gave me samples of the rice cake and steamed cha siu bao. Yummy! I decided to get the chive pancake, half moon, shrimp dumplings, and cha siu cheong funn... to go. Everything was tasty! I'd go back again!

Half moon, pork hash, shrimp dumpling, mini sticky rice, and for the Manapua, I've cream cheese (-) and Kalua pork (:.)

I really like this place. Glad I happened upon this spot with my fiance. It looked quaint and we wanted a small snack, and saw that they serve dim sum and smoothies! So we stopped in, and I'm so glad we did. We tried their half moon, mini sticky rice, pork hash, shrimp dumpling, and the Kalua pork and ube cream cheese mini manapua. I am not exaggerating when I say everything was delicious! Their Manapua dough is pretty obviously homemade in the best way, soft and fluffy with nice chew! The flavor of each item is on point, not overbearing in any way, and far from bland. The smokiness in the Kalua pork, the meatiness of the filling in the mini sticky rice, it's hard to say what my favorite was! We also got their watermelon smoothie at the recommendation of the cashier, and let me tell you, I'm so glad we did! It's been hot and humid during the day lately, and these watermelon slushies were so refreshing and delicious! I am already looking forward to coming back and bringing more family and friends to taste their menu!

Such a cute little family owned place! Great customer service, good vibes, made me a custom açaí bowl and reasonably priced too. 10/10

Honolulu Kitchen Little Corner Cafe on Coolidge St is the perfect neighborhood snack shop. Hallelujah, there's a second location to get those crave-worthy deep-fried manapua! Lightly crisp exteriors, fluffy bao buns, and 10 savory or sweet fillings to choose from. My favorites are the savories, you can't go wrong with the BBQ Chicken, Curry Chicken, and Char Siu. Enjoy them right away or reheat them in a toaster oven to freshen them. I'll take a just fried manapua over a baked or steamed one any day. If you grew up eating Chinese snacks, you'll also appreciate their cheong fun rolls, green onion pancakes, and won tons. These are nostalgic snacks enjoyed after following my mom all over grocery shopping. If you like smoothies, fruit teas, and milk teas, they have a variety of drinks to choose from. They use real fruit and you can choose your choice of milk. These are so refreshing on a hot summer day. And if you don't have time to head down, you can get their food and drinks delivered; place your order through their website or a food delivery app. Now there's no excuse to not give them a try!

Probably two cars can fit otherwise street parking but hard to find an open space. I was just lucky and decided to stop by.

The new owners/ couple own this new cafe location on Coolidge Street called Honolulu Kitchen Little Corner Cafe. Different owner(s) for the Honolulu Kitchen in Waipahu. The couple were both nice and gave me a sample of the pork hash. I've just came from One Plus One Drive Inn and discovered this new place down the street which has been opened for 5 months and I didn't know. I have seen Irene M. checked in before but didn't make notes where it was. I didn't have time to order something today that will take 7-10 minutes to cook, so I decided to go with the steamed manapua and Mango Purple Rice Yogurt drink! Next time I'll call in my order ahead of time. I'm not into boba drinks /smoothies as much as I love my plantation ice tea or mint water, but I must say, I really enjoyed this drink. I like the fact that it was a yogurt based drink with purple rice and mango flavored. I could taste pieces of mango in my drink and the purple rice and I was pleased! Such a refreshing drink! The steamed manapua was ready so I took two. It was a cute and mini size. The char siu Inside was delicious, but the bun was not as soft but okay. While waiting for my drink, I saw my favorite snack which I see from time to time at Island Green Mart or Palama Market. It was the Crab Roe flavored sunflower seeds! It had a nice crunchy coating over the sunflower seeds. Savory is always good and so addicting! It came in individual packets of maybe 24 and it made it easy to share or to carry in your bag! ! I know Peter Y. and Gail U. love these too! It was not busy since it hidden away from the busy King Street, but many of their orders were through delivery services. They have customers from the nearby condos. I wished we had a dim sum and snack place, that I could walk from my place. They have dim sums such as pork hash, gau gee, green onion pancakes, dumplings, spring rolls, half moon, rice cake, custard tart, won ton, and steamed and fried mini manapua, For the manapua, there are many favors to choose from. They offer fruit teas, milk teas and smoothies and even açaí bowl! For those who like sweets, they have Almond or tea cookies. I even saw Cheong fun on the menu! Come check them out!

    Cucumber salad $9.15

Very easy to order online. As long as you pick up during off peak hours, the extra parking stall on the sidewalk is hopefully available, otherwise a little hard to find parking. But if you ordered online, someone can quickly run in to grab the food. Cute place to eat (in or outside). Home made dumplings $13.75 - pricey and not much flavor/salt, so definitely needs the sauce Cucumber salad $9.15 - pricey for a container of spicy pickled garlic cucumbers. Tasty. Green onion pancake $10.95 - very pricey. No flavor but at least it had salt (other places forget salt). Did not have the layers; can be compared to frozen. Would be good dipped in curry. Mini sticky rice $2.25 - tiny but savory and tasty. Chives pancake $2.85 - good sized dumpling. Not a pancake.

    Fried char siu manapua

This place is so cute! They've been open for 5 months and their food is so good and their smoothies! I've always seen this in passing since I go to my community garden so now was the time to try it! I went with my partner and we got a honeydew smoothie, mango lilikoi smoothie, fried chicken wings, fried mini manapua, spicy wonton dumplings and char siu cheong fun! IT WAS SO GOOD! My honeydew smoothie was the refreshing and delicious flavor that I needed and it didn't taste too sweet and didn't taste like powder or syrup, it was good! I really enjoyed the char siu cheong fun with the dipping sauce it came with and I liked how they fried the chicken wings! Atmosphere - Cute, they have about 3 tables inside that can fit 4 people each. Then they have a few tables outside as well! It's bright and there's different artwork/handiwork that is decoration and items you can buy! Service - They are so sweet and friendly. We were dining in so they just brought our items straight from the kitchen to our table. Cost - So affordable! So they sell certain items per piece if you want like sticky rice cake, shrimp dumpling and such. Our whole order was around $53 and we had a coupon so it ended up being around $42. It was so good and we didn't really need to eat all that food (haha). Parking - It's street parking. Location - It's in this small building between a massage place and a communications company. It's a minute walk away from Kahai Street Kitchen. I am definitely going to come here again because I want to try their homemade dumplings, chive pancake, shrimp dumpling, sticky rice and their coffee. I was told their coffee is made out of 100% Kona coffee so until the next time!

    Boba and Acai Bowl

Honolulu Kitchen Little Corner Cafe is my favorite new spot in town. From acai bowls to boba to dim sum to local kine grindz, they have it all. We tried the acai bowl, boba milk tea, shrimp dumplings / har gow, rice cake, and deep fried char siu manapua. Every single item was delicious and handmade. We also saw some posters up of daily specials, so their menu is always changing along with the classics. It was very clean and a nice casual spot to chat with some friends or just enjoy a quick meal. The owners are very friendly and are helpful you understand the menu and suggesting items to try. They were even hosting a giveaway for a moped! There is a parking spot right out front and both indoor and outdoor seating.

OPEN EARLY 7a-7pm most days (tues 7-6p, closed Sun) Great place located on Coolidge behind FHB. 2 parking space against the building and 2 in driveway but otherwise parking is tough. Dim sum is tasty, boba drinks are great. If I have a runner, I can see myself ordering ahead and picking up food after school etc. but if I'm by myself and no parking, no can do. I'll be back

Menu and decor, very clean and cool

They have some very refreshing smoothies and great snack foods perfect for if you have to study and you wanna snack at the same time. cozy atmosphere very friendly staff. love this place. I have to come back to try more as they have a lot of dim sum choices They even have some monthly specials which this summer special is the watermelon slushy. Very delicious, very refreshing for this hot weather we've been having and healthy to boot. Update: tried the chicken wings- very tasty like those honey dipped ones (but not honey flavored- just the crunchy batter), and the onion rings which were tasty too but i wish they fried it a bit more as it wasn't crunchy as it could be. Booth were still tasty though. Had the rice cake and tasted just like the ones you get from the manapua truck- wish was a little sweeter like my favorite one in China town.

Parking is super easy with the complimentary structure, and the café is located on the bottom floor alongside other vendors. One thing I immediately appreciated was how well air-conditioned the entire market is--it's nice and cool, which makes sitting and eating there really comfortable. The cashier recommended the turkey pesto croissant, but suggested swapping it onto ciabatta since it's one of her favorites--and I'm so glad I trusted her. It was phenomenal. The flavors were balanced, the bread held everything together perfectly, and it felt like a step above your typical sandwich. I also had what looked like a simple salad, but the vinaigrette and candied pistachios really elevated it and made it feel more thoughtful than expected. The staff across the board were friendly and welcoming, and there's plenty of seating--whether inside the café or out in the open market area. Honestly, the value surprised me the most. I paid under $13 for everything, which is hard to beat for the quality. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

Seating is limited so it may be difficult to find seating especially during high traffic meal times. May have better luck finding seating outside. I've been here multiple times for lunch and had multiple different items. The acai bowl are good. I like getting the Nalu salad which is always a decent serving and tastes fresh. The sandwiches are also pretty tasty. My main issue is the service. I'm not sure if part of their training is to ignore the customer as much as possible because that has been my experience on multiple occasions. The most recent visit, I had ordered online and was going to pick up m food for takeout. There were three workers at the front just talking. I walked to the counter and was ignored. I could see where the orders are placed and didn't see anything there so figured my order wasn't ready yet. I stood on the side for at least 5 minutes without any greeting or acknowledgement. Not a single person made eye contact with me. When I saw an order placed on the back counter one of them grabbed it and placed it on the takeout counter without calling out the name and went back to chatting. I had to actively try to get their attention at which point I was looked at like I was bothering them. Asked if my order was ready and was handed it without any further interaction. I don't expect happy go lucky people and conversation but at least basic customer service.

Refreshing beverage in Ala Moana Center, Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. After lunch, I searched my Yelp app for "tea" and scrolled down until I found Ebar. Located on the second level of Nordstrom, Ebar has been around for over nine years (according to First To Review). Wow. It's a cozy, busy place! The two cashiers were efficient and pleasant! There were a few small tables inside and a bunch outside... but it's too warm for me on an August afternoon to go outside, and inside was packed... so, I took my Avocado Toast and Coconut Lime Cooler to my car. Haha! Service was friendly and efficient! After I ordered the Avocado Toast, she asked if I wanted a drink. I should have taken her hint. I went back in line for the Coconut Lime Cooler. LOL! The avocado toast was great! I could taste a touch of garlic and a bit tartness from balsamic vinegar? The Coconut Lime Cooler was interesting. It was like a soda without sugar. It was carbonated water with coconut cream on the top and some lime syrup? It wasn't sweet like a soda pop... which is a good thing! Originally, I wanted to get the Açai Sorbetto bowl, but I caught the fragrance of toast... and got the Avocado Toast. So - I should return for the Sorbetto bowl... and a plain croissant... because the customer in front of me ordered the croissant... and it sounded and smelled good!

The gelato/ice cream was smooth and creamy, while the espresso had the right strength and slight bitterness to balance the sweetness. Service was great; quick and friendly, in a clean and bright environment. They offer a wide variety of other coffee drinks, smoothies, sandwiches, and other tasty treats. This is a great spot to fill the craving.

It can be surprisingly hard to find really good mango drinks and treats in Hawaii when it's not mango season, so this place was exactly what I was looking for. My boyfriend ordered the mango strawberry smoothie, and I got the special mango juice smoothie with added rice balls because I was craving something similar to mango sticky rice. I was a little hesitant at first because the special mango juice smoothie comes with sago, which I had never tried before, but it ended up being delicious. The smoothie was fresh, sweet, and incredibly refreshing. The rice balls were the perfect addition and completely satisfied my mango sticky rice craving. The staff were super kind and patient, answering all of our questions and helping us decide what to order. There is also plenty of seating both inside and outside, making it a great place to sit and enjoy your dessert. I loved it so much that we went back twice in one week. If you love mango, this spot is definitely worth a visit!

I've been here a few times with my family and I never regret it. It's an average size shop for a mall and it's always clean with helpful employees. It's such a fun, light and fruity treat in comparison to heavier options offered. Give your gut a rest from all things fried and dive into the joy that is Mango Mango.
