Hidden takeout spot located in the lower level, at the corner inside of an Asian goods store. There are 3 other small counters for other items but the signs ontop help you find where to order. I got the kimbap rolls ($13.50), with choices on what meat you want. There's bulgogi beef, spicy pork or chicken, tuna salad and cheese, yubu tofu and mushroom avocado. I picked marinated beef bulgogi, which came in a large roll and were cut into sushi-sized pieces. I like that it's larger than typical sushi. It also came with carrots, cucumbers, rice, and seaweed. I liked it. It felt worth the price for a light lunch or snack. It comes freshly packed in a tray so there was a bit of a wait. You get a beeper that beeps when your food is ready!! The delivery is coming by bike as well. He was blocks away and made a pit stop on the way to us. Food was supposed to be delivered by 5:40 PM. The food arrived by 5:56 PM or so. The Kimbaps were delivered about 15-20 minutes after the estimated delivery time. It's a good thing the food isn't necessarily hot. No utensils and no chopsticks and no napkins. Does this place think people are Neanderthals? The Kimbap pieces are full of ingredients and nicely balanced. The spicy chicken and the mushroom and avocado aren't my favorite. They also have some tables right outside the store for their guests so perfect for when the weather isn't the best to eat outside. They also have quick service here. Love they have vegan options that are tasty! They are a bit expensive but a lot of things in Chelsea Market are. Everything in the mushroom avocado bowl was fresh which is great and you can chose from a sauce and a pickled item to have on the side with the bowl. I like how I got some radish / daikon marinated in rice wine vinegar on the side. I felt both dishes were just "ok". Grab yourself a drink from the fridge nearby or some bubble tea at tea and milk to go with your meal. Would totally get this again. I got the gochujang chicken roll and my wife got the bulgogie beef rolls. Both were so full of flavor - some spiciness but not much really and the radishes in each cut through the spice. The sides were a bit forgettable, but the rolls were so large you didn't need the sides. I also really loved all the sauces - the gochujang sauce was a little bit sweeter than most gochujang but also a little but thinner, more liquidy so it made for an excellent dipping sauce. I got the chicken kimbap recommended by the employee helping with my order and loved it! For $14 it's quite a bit pricier than you can typically find kimbap but it's convenient location in the Chelsea market is to blame. The roll is huge and actually really filling for a meal! The Chelsea Market location and also the Williamsburg location). It is so hard to find good GF Asian food and near impossible to find Korean, but this place delivered. I had the beef bulgogi bowl both times and it did not disappoint. It was loaded with flavorful beef that was cooked perfectly, perfect al debts veggies and just enough rice to soak up the delicious sauce. Literally heaven in a bowl. The Chelsea Market location is downstairs in an Asian Market, so if you don't know what you are looking for it can be hard to find. The Williamsburg location is in the Whole Foods. I was surprised how much I liked this place. It's not traditional by any means (go to Emo kimbap in ktown if that is what you are looking for) but it has its own wonderful merits. I really liked how healthy it was in comparison to traditional kimbap and the fact it was completely gluten-free. I had the option to get brown rice (for $1 more) instead of white and the fresh salad-like innards while not as flavorful as traditional seasoned/cooked veggies had no salt. You can choose to add flavor by dipping into the sauce the rolls come with. The roll was pretty fat bordering on futomaki territory which made it a filling lunch. I also enjoyed the tiny side of kimchi and dipping sauce. Lastly I really loved their gluten-free taiyaki (not on their online menu) which I had for dessert.
