What a terrible experience. Don't go here! I came in for a scoop of ice cream, a chocolate covered pretzel and a turtle pretzel. I was waiting patiently in line when a lady behind the counter, who looked like a manager, asked if she could help me. I told her I wanted to get two pretzels and a scoop of ice cream. She then tells me someone else can help me. I then have a cashier look at me then look at a guy who had just arrived at the counter and she helped him first. There was no organization and I was getting passed over. Then, I ordered and got my receipt. I was charged for two turtle pretzels. We told the manager this and she tried to tell me that they were both considered turtle pretzels. It was almost $20.00 for this! This is a tourist trap. Don't fall for it like I did! read more

If you're looking for terrible service, Kilwin's is the place to go! My family and I went there to cool down after a nice hot summer day and was unexpectedly treated poorly by the woman working the cash register. The food was great but the service couldn't be worse. She even gave us less fudge than we asked for without a wooden knife that they usually give you with it! Just had the best S'Mores ice cream I've EVER had! Staff super sweet and friendly. Great place to create or recreate memories.

I bought my mother in law a gift card to use on Thursday. We went on Tuesday and they refused to accept the card. The lady said their gift card machine doesn't work well but refused to believe it had $10 on it. I even had the receipt. We went back and forth a lot and they refused to show good customer service and take the $10. I emailed the owners and no reply. The fudge we did get was hard and not even that good. I am a local and will not return and will not recommend this store. For the pricey chocolates it isn't worth it. I will spend my money somewhere else. Another good place for ice cream in historic St. Augustine. A wide variety of flavors. My kids favorites were superman and lemon sorbet. I really enjoyed the key lime pie. They also have a variety of fudge and Carmel apples that looked delicious. read more

Better options available, don't waste you time or money. I bought a chocolate covered Carmel apple and it was ok, the apple had no taste, the chocolate and Carmel was ok, I've been to Kilwin's in other cities before but this one was by far the worst. I asked for two different scoops of ice cream in a single size and I would pay the double price and they refused to do it, I've never had this happen to me at any other location, I guess they don't care about customer service, so I went down the street and got exactly what I wanted. read more

Yum, yum yum! Stopped here twice during a recent visit to St. Augustine. Had a scoop of Cookies and Cream the first time and a scoop of Butter Pecan the second. Tasted excellent. Service was fast. It was a bit pricey, but I expected that. Stop in for a scoop! read more

Girl was very helpful getting the ice cream but we had to chase down the cashier. It was a very hot 90 degree day but the ice cream was soft right away. Felt like it should have been a little colder. Cones were perfect as always. read more

Ive always loved this place but yesterday I had the worse experience ever. I don't know if it was a result of the hurricane and loss of power but the one slab of fudge I bought was hard as a rock. Like it had been warm and then cooled again. I could literally chew it the outside was crunchy and crumbly. I am very disappointed! Had the toasted coconut ice cream. It was amazing. Candy creations looked like works of art.

This is a must have if you are in the area. Once you walk in, there is a welcoming smell of warm chocolate and caramel. There is a variety of treats and candy that anyone and everyone can enjoy. Such as: candy apples, caramel/chocolate covered marshmallows, fudge, chocolate, and the mist delicious ice cream and sherbet. I took the family there last week while we were on vacation. First time my new son has never had fudge...and it was atrocious. Horrible! Evil! Gagging! It was like dried out frosting...crumbly and nasty. Sad for one of my few vacation have to have treats I splurge on...turned a cool special moment with my new kid upside down, and just disappointed all 5 of us! Three slabs of fudge in the garbage can. Sadly, we had left St Augustine so I couldn't travel back to the store... I wish I could give them zero stars then because of how they have treated us. I called them, explained my issue (cause, you know, fudge isn't cheap), and was left on hold for 10 minutes. Only to have the guy come back on the phone very dismissively and tell me to call back to talk to a manager. Ummm...NO. I gave him my phone # and he promised a manager would call me back quickly. Ummmm...Nope. Hasn't happened in 5 days now. I called again and got brushed off again. What cr** customer service. We go down to JAX routinely to visit family. Next time one of the other hundred chocolate shops will get my chocolate bomb craving cash. Plus, hope they are checking these reviews...my inlaws, who live there, and take people to St Augustine all the time, will never take any of our visiting family there, and neither will their friends who have now heard about this treatment. read more

We were looking for ice cream after realizing how far away Maypole was and that Cold Calf was closed own. We have gone to Kilwin's in Winter Park and it has been wonderful. We went in to the store crowded with visitors in this touristy area. After looking at the unappetizing ice cream in the case (it looked like the freezer caseline doors were open) and the warmth inside the store (The front door was open on this warm day), we agreed to skip ice cream. Why? The ice cream was clearly melted and refrozen and in the process of melt (shiny, not matte). I do not know how long the ice cream may have sat there but we were not about to try it. If I want an ice cream shake, I'll ask for it; I don't want it unintentionally. As we looked at the ice cream we noted a few of the young workers behind the counter but no one approached us as we looked. Hopefully, this was an aberrant day and not the norm for this location. read more

Every time I am in Saint Augustine I need Kilwins fudge. Walking out never happens without at least two slices of fudge. This particular Kilwins is a bit smaller than the other ones down the street but that does not change the flavor! I always enjoy how they embrace the season with their flavors such as an eggnog flavored fudge in there current selections which may not sound appealing but if you love eggnog like I love eggnog, then you will be walking out with some just as I had. They also have several selections of ice cream if you want something on the colder side but I you ask me, the fudge is where it's at. The only reason I have docked a point is that the workspace behind the counter could really use some tender love and care.. Or just a broom. A busier day, so as soon as I went inside with my mother (it was birthday dessert!) we were pressured by the employees to choose our flavor ASAP and were followed throughout the line queue, being asked every ten seconds if we had decided yet. Once we chose, our ice cream was haphazardly scooped into a still-hot waffle cone and we were hustled out. No respect for the guest; though I understand it was a busy day, there is no excuse for speaking roughly to and barking questions at your customers to make them decide what they want in seconds, and no excuse for paying $6 for melted ice cream. My 75-year-old mom did not appreciate being hustled from the beginning and it made her nervous. Should have left before it was too late. read more
