    'Toasted Coconut'

After enjoying a tour of the city and craving for ice cream late at night, my mom and I came in and tried their Toasted Coconut ice cream. It was super delish! The employees were very kind and patient! Will definitely come back when I travel to St. Augustine again!

I just don't love that a $11 caramel apple had the chocolate blooming. A lot of times when chocolate blooms, it takes away the best flavor. Don't think I would come back after this. There was also a gentleman cutting the fudge and his dirty shirt was heavily leaning on top of it multiple times. Just not as sanitary as I'd like.

Yes, being located on St. George Street the place is very touristy, can become crowded, the waits long and at times all the seating is gone. The service can also become real iffy. On the good side Kilwin's Chocolates really has some great ice creams along with a lot of done in the store hand crafted items and ingredients like their caramels, corns and brittles. So, it is more than an ice cream shop. It's a confectionary. I've had a few of their items over the years but most recently one of their chocolate Sundays which I found to have a good solid robust in chocolate taste. If I were going by ice cream alone, I'd go four stars but because of the delays in service and the not all that great outdoor seating, the best I can do is a Three Stars, OK.

A sweet-tooth place. Their chocolates, fudges, chocolate covered apples, ice creams, pop corn and more were tempting. But as usual I had pistachio ice cream...always the best for me.

a very good chain. We love to look at what is new, I have entered several stores, even in another state, the attention is very good. I recommend the hot chocolate. I do not drink coffee.

Went again on a hot, springy day with my boyfriend and some friends, and guess what, it was awesome again! The line went by fast ans the workers were so on top of it. It was my first time getting a waffle cone from here and after eating it I don't ever think I'll get a cup or cake cone ever again!!! The cones are cooked fresh every so often and the crispiness and the taste are beyond amazing. The ice cream itself was very soft. I had pistachio again, my favorite (okay, next time I'll try something else, dually noted). And despite what you think, everyone's 1 or 2 scoop order will be the same for whatever cone or cup it's in. By this I mean they weigh the ice cream so it's equal for everybody, which is something I've never really thought about. It's a bit pricey for a scoop on a waffle cone $5-ish + tax, BUT it was soooo good. And it wasn't just good because it was hot :P

I love an apple covered in dark chocolate and sea salt! When I travel, I always look for good chocolate or candy stores that have them. Kilwin's is a well-known chain so I make a point of stopping when I see their sign. I was not disappointed at this one. I was in St Augustine for the weekend and made the trip on both days to get an apple. I highly recommend shopping here if you like ice cream or chocolate.

If you want a sweet treat that is unbelievable stop at Kilwin's! The most unique flavors and you can try all flavors until you know exactly what you want!

Great atmosphere, clean place, good sweets and friendly staff. As with everything else in town, it's unnecessarily over priced goods.

6/28/14. The turtle ice cream sundae had a bitter taste. This place is way too overpriced.

Tourist trap!!! Mediocre ice cream. Even the waffle cones, which are freshly made, lack any flavor. SO EXPENSIVE AND BANAL!

My boyfriend took a bite and said "this is vegan??" Unreal. Cake was moist and flavorful, the frosting was sweet and thick, sooo good! I ordered two glasses of Prosecco and she informs me that they are out of Prosecco. What!? I then order a can of IPA and a glass of white wine for my gf, which took way too long to get. Plus my beer wasn't even that cold and her wine wasn't good either. I asked about the cheese tray + wine and she looked confused. I asked her what cheeses came on it and she said she didn't know, but she'd find out, but never did. lol. I came here prepared to buy a bottle of Prosecco and a cheese tray to sit outside and enjoy with my gf but that didn't happen. If you are working at a place you should know the couple things that you do serve and know them very well. There also wasn't any clean glasses for the spa water. The deserts did look good but god forbid I asked either of them a question about them because they would have looked at me befuddled. I highly doubt I'll ever come back here again. Good luck with your questions and selections.

Walking in the staff was very friendly and told my party that we could each try a couple of different pieces of Laffy Taffy figure out what we like the most! I decided to try the eggnog flavor and it was very nice! After trying a sample I decided to get a handful of different flavors and nibbled them while I walked on St George street. The Candy Corn Taffy was decent, but it did not have that much flavor in my opinion. The consistency of it was very tasty however so I was glad to try it. I also got one that was pickle flavored and this one was absolutely flavorless so I was a little upset about that. Another one that I got was beer flavored and you could taste it with just the right amount of flavoring. The prices are very decent and charging by the weight, you can get a nice amount in your bag without breaking the bank. The place was very nicely lit and super clean and I loved how one of the walls, in its entirety, was filled with easily over 50 different flavors of saltwater taffy! I felt like a true kid in a candy store!

"First Coast" food - 2 of 2…read more Ok, so this is food ... and it isn't. I didn't know where to eat in charming St. Augustine, Florida - America's oldest settlement - and would wait to return to Jacksonville to figure out where I'd then have dinner. I stumbled into Claude's Chocolate admiring the historic Alcazar Hotel which now houses city hall, a museum, and then some. As such, a dessert from practically adjacent Claude's would serve as lunch. Saying "old world European" may sound trite, but it's applicable here where the endeavor has a craftsman-like dedication, be it in the hand made ice cream/gelato, the chocolates and candies they select, and the tidiness of their small store. They do have enough space, though, for people to eat in and it was nice and cool inside. I had two ice cream flavors side by side - strawberry cheesecake and Belgium chocolate. This ice cream "lunch" was delicious and I savored the taste slowly as I sat inside but looked outside the storefront windows toward the Alcazar and its landscaped square. I was treated politely and with patience as I chose what I wanted from the glass case. I also purchased a small quantity of candy for the road. Claude's Chocolate is not a chain chocolate or ice cream store. This is sort of a boutique for fine chocolates and higher quality desserts and sweet treats. The prices are a little bit higher, but you get what you pay for.
