Such a cute spot. Smells amazing. But they don't let you get smaller pieces of fudge so I had to buy a big chunk. It wasn't great, didn't have much flavor

For me, Savannah Sweets is the premier candy shop in Saint Augustine. Their pralines are next level and I usually get one daily when I'm there. This visit was no different, you won't see a picture because it was eaten too quickly. My apologies. Their use of nuts, their chocolates, their fresh preparation never fails. You can't go wrong with anything you get, and they are always creating new experiences. Pictured with this review is the genius idea to utilize Fruity Pebbles in a Rice Krispy treat. That's my next purchase. Amazing idea. The staff is always courteous and friendly. It's also nice to see candy being made fresh as part of the decor. This is one of THE Saint Augustine standards that never dissapoints. If you're going to get candy in Saint Augustine, there are many choices. None are as good as Savannah Sweets.

The caramel oreo is a MUST try. Went with my sister and we got a variety of treats for ourselves and for our 4-legged baby. Everything was so good but the winner was for sure the caramel oreo (surprised even half made it to the picture).

Savannah Sweets offers nearly any type of fudge and candy related items that your heart may desire. You can sample one fudge and one praline on each visit. I do not eat fudge that much so I was treating myself. They had a fudge with coconut that was very tasty. I've never seen anything like it. The associate explained they have seasonal fudges. He was nice and had patience as I wasn't sure which praline I wanted to sample. The praline was my not my favorite, but I think that's because of the flavor I tried. And the fudge was not as soft as I have had in the past but the flavor was still great. I would recommend this spot to fulfill your sweet tooth needs.

Good place if you want caramel, nuts, and chocolate covered anything, but doesn't do much in the exploring of flavors beyond that.

It is actually located in the same store as Pepper Palace so we killed two birds with one stone. I read previous reviews and everyone had great contributions so that sold me. I am not sure how crazy popular St. Augustine has become in the past year or two for families but it seems like families took a really long wrong turn away from Disney and headed here. Anyway, this place is really small. I mean like maybe can fit 10 people maximum at a time. I expected unusual finds of candy and I did find some unique candy for sure! I really did not have anything specific I was looking for but was willing to spend money if I found something. Unfortunately, there were too many kids standing around like zombies and it made it really difficult to browse and shop. I was feeling too crowded so I made my way towards Pepper Palace. I intend to come back but only when there are not so many people. The selection was good but I think there could be more unique finds and a little more variety. They had bulk options, but not many. There was of course plenty of packaged candy that many of us are familiar with. There was also slushees, smoothies, and drinks behind the counter. Next time I really want to look at that.

Not caring enough to order that specific flavor directly through Jelly Belly, I told myself the next time I was near a candy store I would see if they had that flavor. Sure enough, Mix and Match Candy Shop had that flavor and I was able to buy a few ounces of it. I opened the brown paper bag and loaded up my desired flavor. I walked over to pay the hipster cashier who looked like he was still on a bender from the night before. I handed him my money and he stared at the five-dollar bill I gave him. He pulled out his counterfeit pen and tested it on the five-dollar bill. I have to say, that was the first time I have ever seen someone test a five-dollar bill. It's five dollars and I'm buying jelly beans. It was sort of funny. The place was small, not really well labeled, but I got what I wanted and that's what matters. The prices were fair and the selection was decent considering the storefront was pretty small.

Every single year we bring our adult kids, our nieces, and our nephews to the same candy store to fill a bag like we've always done. This time some miserable woman at the register decided to accuse us of sticking our hands in the bins. Nobody did. Not one person. We're all grown adults. We opened the lids to look, then used the tongs like normal people. She still insisted someone reached in, like we were a bunch of dirty little thieves. Then, out of nowhere, she announces she's closing and we have to get out. Right then. No discussion. I asked if we could at least pay for the bag of candy we had already filled. She flat-out refused. Just "No. Leave." Like we were nothing. Twenty years of loyal visits, and this is how we're treated? She couldn't even take cash for what we already had in the bag. She just stood there looking sour and watching us like every customer is either a criminal or an inconvenience she has to endure. We will never set foot in that store again as long as she's working there, or if she's the owner. Absolutely ridiculous, hostile, and completely unnecessary.
