We got about halfway to where we were going and decided we weren't going to make it there and back on time. We crossed the street and turned around to head back to where we were parked. We walked up to Carnival Sweets and immediately noticed how absolutely charming the store looked. You went inside and it's such a quaint little store. We were immediately greeted by two men who were just the kindest. I purchased two honey bun cow tails for my children and then I ordered two hot chocolates and a strawberry lemonade. To receive your drinks, you go out the side door to the left, around the back. The hot chocolate with some of the most decadent that I have ever had. It was incredibly rich and very flavorful. The strawberry lemonade was also delicious. Between the cleanliness, the cutest decor, the kindest staff, and the delicious drinks, I wish I lived closer to come here more often. This is definitely an establishment that deserves your money and time.

I didn't know where to eat in charming St. Augustine, Florida - America's oldest settlement - and would wait to return to Jacksonville to figure out where I'd then have dinner. I stumbled into Claude's Chocolate admiring the historic Alcazar Hotel which now houses city hall, a museum, and then some. As such, a dessert from practically adjacent Claude's would serve as lunch. Saying "old world European" may sound trite, but it's applicable here where the endeavor has a craftsman-like dedication, be it in the hand made ice cream/gelato, the chocolates and candies they select, and the tidiness of their small store. They do have enough space, though, for people to eat in and it was nice and cool inside. I had two ice cream flavors side by side - strawberry cheesecake and Belgium chocolate. This ice cream "lunch" was delicious and I savored the taste slowly as I sat inside but looked outside the storefront windows toward the Alcazar and its landscaped square. I was treated politely and with patience as I chose what I wanted from the glass case. I also purchased a small quantity of candy for the road. Claude's Chocolate is not a chain chocolate or ice cream store. This is sort of a boutique for fine chocolates and higher quality desserts and sweet treats. The prices are a little bit higher, but you get what you pay for.

I have done the chocolate tour years ago and I noticed that on a review I made at a diff location in the area. Stopped by at this location, our first time, they have a handful of parking on the side of their building. They also have an outside covered patio and a couch to sit on inside. I came in for some goodies for Xmas presents. The chocolate smells so good and they have a lot of fun options. The service is really nice and helpful and patient and it's a great place for a chocolate break. I did wish they were open later for hot chocolate for the Christmas lights tour but there's another location on St George St to get hot chocolate. Lucky our stay in St Augustine during the Xmas lights tour had ideal night temperatures hot chocolate was not needed.

If you've ever been to the keys, you know this is the place for some amazing key lime pie. So exciting! So of course, made my way in. The staff was beyond nice. Absolutely love them. We were able to sample some cookies and sampled their strawberry limeade which was quite yummy. The place itself is extremely adorable and IG worthy with the cutest decor and merch! Got myself a slice of that key lime pie and slid in to pie heaven. It's the perfect amount of tartness and soooo creamy. Highly recommend making a stop here when visiting St. Augustine.

Key lime pie is my favorite dessert. Earlier in the week, my husband and I were in the historic district on Monday, but unfortunately they were closed, so we didn't get the chance to stop in. Yesterday was our 12th anniversary, so after enjoying a homemade dinner, we made a special trip downtown to pick up a slice of pie for dessert. One thing I absolutely loved was that customers are able to sample everything--from the cookies to the different pie flavors. That was a wonderful touch and made the experience feel welcoming. I also appreciated the fun nod to the famous Key West chickens, which brought back memories of the island. One disappointment was that, unlike the original Key West location, this St. Augustine shop does not offer a locals discount. I know for a fact that the Key West stores do, and it would be a nice addition here, especially for those of us who live in the area. As for the pie, the original Key lime pie was absolutely delicious. However, I wasn't a fan of the coconut or strawberry flavors. My biggest concern, though, is the price. Paying $6 for a single slice of pie feels excessive, especially when you also have to pay to park just to visit the store in the historic district. Overall, I enjoyed the original pie and appreciated the opportunity to sample the products, but the combination of high prices and paid parking makes it difficult to justify returning. If they were to introduce a locals discount like stores in Key West offer, I would gladly give them another visit.

I had the blueberry cheesecake when I was here last time and it was very flavourful, the price is decent but you are basically paying a little more here because of the location. There are only a few tables in here due to the size but people eat their ice cream rather quick so I've never waited around, there's also benched everyone if you don't mind sitting outside.
