Great variety of candies with really fair pricing. Most of the time you go to candy shops everything is so overpriced it's not worth it to try new things. However this place had great prices, a well organized selection and the shop owner (I assume) was very friendly and knowledgeable. All the candy was delicious too!!!

I heard about this place on TikTok and was so excited to stop by when I visited St Augustine and I loved it! The store was decorated very nicely and the owner was also very knowledgeable and friendly. It was so cool to learn how he enjoyed the snacks too. I highly recommend stopping by this place if you're ever in the area. It's my favorite place I've visited while there and I am so excited to try the sweets!

This wonderful store is down a hallway off the main path.

The owner was knowledgeable regarding all of the sweets in the store. He uniquely had them arranged and highlighted by the flag of the country of origin. A good lesson for my 14 year old son who wasn't too aware of many of the flags. The German dark chocolate held me hostage. This little gem is a bit hidden. So follow the signs along with the signs for the store full of lavender products.

Walking in the staff was very friendly and told my party that we could each try a couple of different pieces of Laffy Taffy figure out what we like the most! I decided to try the eggnog flavor and it was very nice! After trying a sample I decided to get a handful of different flavors and nibbled them while I walked on St George street. The Candy Corn Taffy was decent, but it did not have that much flavor in my opinion. The consistency of it was very tasty however so I was glad to try it. I also got one that was pickle flavored and this one was absolutely flavorless so I was a little upset about that. Another one that I got was beer flavored and you could taste it with just the right amount of flavoring. The prices are very decent and charging by the weight, you can get a nice amount in your bag without breaking the bank. The place was very nicely lit and super clean and I loved how one of the walls, in its entirety, was filled with easily over 50 different flavors of saltwater taffy! I felt like a true kid in a candy store!

We got about halfway to where we were going and decided we weren't going to make it there and back on time. We crossed the street and turned around to head back to where we were parked. We walked up to Carnival Sweets and immediately noticed how absolutely charming the store looked. You went inside and it's such a quaint little store. We were immediately greeted by two men who were just the kindest. I purchased two honey bun cow tails for my children and then I ordered two hot chocolates and a strawberry lemonade. To receive your drinks, you go out the side door to the left, around the back. The hot chocolate with some of the most decadent that I have ever had. It was incredibly rich and very flavorful. The strawberry lemonade was also delicious. Between the cleanliness, the cutest decor, the kindest staff, and the delicious drinks, I wish I lived closer to come here more often. This is definitely an establishment that deserves your money and time.

Parking is a little tricky, but definitely doable. There's quite a bit of metered parking, and we were able to find a free meter on a Saturday by parking on a nearby side street. The moment we walked in, we were amazed, and clearly hungry, because everything looked so delicious! My daughter made a beeline straight for the $5 candy buffet, which she absolutely loved. It's such a fun and unique option for kids. The vintage bottle drink freezer was another highlight, so colorful and stocked with all kinds of interesting and nostalgic flavors. They also had some funny gag gifts and a great selection of bulk candy at reasonable prices. One of our favorite touches was the little train running around the ceiling, it's such a cute detail that really adds to the experience. They even have a penny press, so be sure to bring two quarters and a shiny penny! We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot if you're looking for fun gifts or a sweet treat, especially for kids.

My wife and I stopped by on a Saturday for a tour of the candy making facility, where we learned a lot about how the chocolates and other candies are made, and we were even able to design and enjoy our own custom chocolate bar. This place has everything that a fan of sweets and fun can enjoy - retro candy, a colorful environment, and enthusiastic staff. From our tour with Joy, our complimentary sea salt caramel from Barbara, everybody on staff provided a joyous afternoon. The tour is highly recommended, where you'll get to see how the product is made, and even get to see one of the original Golden tickets from the original Wonka movie. Pricing for the tour is very reasonable, and it's a great way to spend an afternoon. Parking was easy right around the corner from the front entrance. The owners family has been in the candy business for years and he still works there everyday, that's awesome! :)) I'm glad we checked it out. Thank you Sweet Petes! You can trust me, I am a candy eating American. ;D
