I love the idea of the store as it's fun and unique - however once we got home to eat the popcorn we had picked out - it was just so incredible stale and we had to throw it away. We got pickle popcorn and fruit loops. They store the popcorn in huge bins in the back room which just not seal very well. For the price it's just lot worth it for the stale taste. Black Women with 1 Baby and 2 Teenagers Overall I give the Poppin Box a 4.25 stars but since there isn't half stars I give them 4 Stars. They have 5-stars for taste and selection but 3.5-stars on Operation. Food - the POPCORN and the amount of flavors they have is impressive. I never stopped to count but I know they have a lot. My go to popcorn flavors Chicago mix, spicy buffalo, cotton candy, and confetti. The popcorn is always fresh the flavors are robust, exact, and tasty - even the flavors I don't like. The CANDY by the lbs selections is PLENTIFUL too. I shop thru them and feel like a little girl with a gleeful smile. Food Selection is plentiful. I'm always getting the popcorn or candy by the pound. However they have other treats as well. This last time I went they had the Bavarian (Cinnamon Sugar Almond) nuts. They were OK. It tasted a little too OILY. The oil taste was reminiscent of old oil so I could not finish them. 3 star operation - they have menu items that are not on the menu. You have to search around the register or look up at some of the signage to notice them. I did NOT KNOW they had candy apples until after I checked out. I was DISAPPOINTED when the associate could not locate where they were located to sell one to me. PARKING-there's none on busy plaza days. This business does not have dedicated parking spots either. You can find yourself in for a mini trek to enjoy this place AMBIANCE is lost with them expanding to include a new room. I forgot to review Poppin Box last year just before Christmas. I went on for a Chritmas gift last year for a Secret Santa. It was no secret! However. I knew my Secret Santa loved popcorn. I strolled in just before work and met the owner at the register. There were so many choices of popcorn and so little time. I received a popcorn card to entice me to return, which is an incentive to come back. This is a family own business. The popcorn I got and not pictured are: garlic parmesan, cotton candy, regular, and carmel. The cotton candy tastes so good, like I was at a circus! Poppin Box does give free samples. Don't think about Walmart, Target, or Publix for store brought pop corn. Go to Poppin Box for the finest in gourmet popcorn in St. Johns count just over the bridge by Iggys bar and grill. Rebecca the owner has done it again! She has hosted another amazing event for the community. My kids and I had a great time getting to visit with Santa, eat cotton candy, the littles received Christmas tattoos, and sang Christmas Karaoke. While we were there we also picked up some warm roasted nuts, slushes including a holiday flavored Apple cider ; which is delicious and of course popcorn. You can't go wrong here finding wonderful customer service and delicious treats. I have been here before, but I had a birthday present I needed to buy and a local coupon to use, so I came on a Saturday afternoon. I was immediately greeted by a woman at the door and asked if I needed help. After I told her I was looking for caramel corn and gummies for a ten year old girl's birthday, she helped me with packaging fresh caramel corn and showing me the gummy options. I saw they had shark gummies, and thought that would be perfect. I chose a medium size bag of popcorn, which was a huge bag for a medium size. She helped me check out at the counter and signed me up for their loyalty program. I was able to use the coupon with ease, and she made sure to pick a pretty bag to put the products in. I was happy with the service and the products were a hit at the birthday party. Very Fun store! This is located in a nice shopping center in Julington Creek, right over the bridge. I knew of course they sell popcorn here ( duh! Lol) but I had no idea all the other things available! All different types of candy, so much candy!! And I loved they had more unusual ones! Vintage candies, insect candies, sour stuff! They also offer a bunch of flavored popcorns, we ended up getting: cotton candy, fruity loops, and spicy buffalo, they probably had about 30 flavors to pick from! I liked the candy coated ones they were crunchy and fresh! My favorite thing I found here was these Tea Drops I had been wanting to try and was gonna order from online...but they had them here! It's cool because it's tea leaves and sugar pressed together into a tablet you just drop into hot water and your done! Visited The Poppin Box this past weekend and was very surprised. This store is a lot more than just popcorn. They do have every flavor popcorn that can be dipped in oil and cooked under the sun; my favorites include the Dill Pickle popcorn and Moose Tracks. We also tried their fudge; buy a pound, get 1/2 a pound free. We got 6 squares; chocolate fudge, Oreo, maple, rocky road, salted chocolate, and caramel striped. It was all so good, but my favorite was the maple fudge. Also in the store they had all sorts of candy ranging from Jelly Bellies in many flavors to candy that I haven't seen since I was a kid, like Boston Baked Beans. And the best part wasn't even the yummy candies here, but was the service. The couple working in the store were so friendly and so generous; they let us try just about everything before we bought it. Great local place. Great variety of popcorn and candy for holiday gifts. But the service is so slow. It took forever to get a basket of popcorn filled. They are perfectionists but I certainly didn't care what color ribbon hey used. White would have been fine but they were on a mission to find the purple ribbon and the right color crinkle paper filler. The spicy buffalo is really yummy and insanely spicy. This popcorn store is so great. They have so many different kind of flavors and different sizes to choose from. What I like is that you can mix and match the flavors in the bag that you buy. The lady behind the counter was so nice too. She offered to let us try any flavor that we wanted. They also have bulk candy to buy and the prices are reasonable for that. I have been here three times. The first time they had just opened and we came in from Moon Dog, they are just two doors down. Got the Caramel Corn and also some Cholocate only Necco Wafers for the wfe and sugar free Jelly Belly. Second time, was after playing Iggies and got Chicage Style popcorn, caramel corn mixed with cheddar cheese corn. DOUBLE AWESOME. Third time was last night.
