California RollCalifornia

Some of the best and biggest sushi rolls I've ever had! The California roll was the freshest, most crab filled roll. Service was great especially for a such a large group order. Everything was perfect and extremely delicious. Some of the best prices I've ever seen and paid for sushi, too, especially considering the size of the rolls. We also got a fun, surprise roll in the order. It was loaded with tuna and salmon and was absolutely delicious. Kiku sushi is a smaller restaurant but is worth the visit! Can't wait to make this my go to sushi restaurant!

We ordered delivery from them and they did not disappoint! All of the fish tasted very fresh and was melting in my mouth. They had a good variety of rolls, but also had combos which allowed mixing of nigri/sashimi with sushi rolls. I would love to go here in person and see how these taste at the restaurant but 10/10 I recommend. Will likely be my new go to sushi!

This is my favorite sushi restaurant. The guys who work there are always kind, sushi are delicious and portions are generous. I was there over 20 times at least already and I was never disappointed. Thank you for your great work!

The old man and his wife seem to finally retired but nothing about the quality of this place has changed when I finally came back years later. This small, unassuming shop in a posh neighborhood could easily be overlooked if you aren't in the know. But word of mouth for years and now modern review sites can clue you in to what might be the best sushi south of the Mason-Dixon. You don't come here for quick. You come here for fresh and delicious. Individual and roll service are my preferred method (the sad state of having a shellfish allergy) and each one is presented to you with the personal touch of the kitchen that's still carrying on as it always has. My pictures are poor substitutes for personal experience especially since I couldn't keep my hands off it before snapping. Try it, love it.

**small, modest restaurant with good prices!! I am a huge sushi lover, and I really liked this place! The rolls are very standard but the portions are BIG. They're not as creative as Shoyou Sushi down the street, but that's ok with me, considering it's much cheaper! The restaurant is small and there aren't too many seats. So I'd say it's good for more casual meals. The service was good for me. Street parking since it's Fed Hill.

No notes. I ordered from Kiku after a baseball game and it was the perfect post-game dinner! The rice to filling ratio on the rolls was perfection. The tofu was crispy. The pancake was crispy and filled. The sashimi was fresh. The rolls were yummy. The sauces were included and added to the eating experience. Everything I ordered was included with napkins and utensils. Would definitely order from Kiku again!

started out a tiny bit skeptical due to the prices - the portions are HUGE! agedashi tofu was good, my first time trying it though so i won't rate it tuna mango avocado roll - for 8.99 my expectations weren't huge but the roll was massive, more like a gimbap. it was a little harder to eat but yummy. sashimi deluxe - the cuts were pretty generous and the waiter helped us identify all the fish :) burrito - my dad finished half and was already pretty full the restaurant is cozy and warm, really enjoyed my meal and will definitely order less next time their portions are huge

Good service, my meal was pretty simple but my friend's was beautiful and tasted great.

Stopped by Kiku Sushi after an Orioles game. Of course, we had to get the Orioles roll! It was HUGE and filled with crab flavor. We also got the Alaska Roll which was full of fresh flavor. In addition, we tried a poke bowl. It wasn't our favorite (even though the fish was fresh). I would stick with the sushi and miso soup. The restaurant is small and nothing fancy, but the service was friendly and fast.

a variety of sushi on a long platter

The sushi rolls were really good. A bit on the expensive side. We got the dragon roll, rainbow roll.

I came here because the reviews were really good. I went at lunch on a weekday and it was busy. Every table full. One guy working. He was friendly but busy with take out orders, tables, and also making the sushi rolls. Stretched too thin. But never showed the stress. My reasoning for not giving more stars is the fish didn't taste fresh. I have no problem with the cost. I've paid a lot of money on sushi and sashimi at other restaurants. I've also paid not so much on the same food and received fresh ingredients. The eel in my roll was all skin and fat. Not much meat. The nigiri were perfectly made. I couldn't eat many of them because they put mango on top (which isn't listed on the menu and I'm allergic). The fish didn't seem right. There wasn't a bad smell but if you know sushi and fish in general than you know!

After 7 years in the neighborhood, I don't know why it took me so long to try Kiku! Actually, I do know why, it is a little pricy. I tend to get simple roles. As a result, it can be hard for me to stomach a place that charges more than $5/6 per roll. All that aside, we but the bullet and order just 3 rolls. Total bill came to almost $30 for 3 very basic rolls, so I was anxious, but I should not have been. The food was amazing and the portions were great!!! In addition to the rolls, they threw in a couple pieces of sushi as well! Will definitely be back.

I had been here once before, before moving to the area, and thought it was great then. This time? Extraordinary. I came in about an hour before closing, and anyone who eats out knows food can sometimes feel different that close to closing time. Not here. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and just as good as if I had walked in at peak dinner time. On top of that, I had an issue with my online order/payment. It looked like the charge was processing through my account, but they had no record of the order. Instead of making me feel like a problem, the person helping me was patient, kind, and genuinely tried to figure it out. I felt treated like a hungry customer who needed help not like someone trying to get over. The food looked good, tasted amazing, and the people were helpful, welcoming, and kind even near closing. The space was welcoming as well. The corner store ..... come on in. Come on in. Come on in. Top-notch all around

Now for the Maryland softie, my first bite was heavenly (full of the crab-cake and remoulade), but as I kept eating it, I realized I would've just preferred it with just crab cake, not the soft shell too. Was it worth the hype? kind of. It's pricey so maybe one and done for me. Now the crab Rangoon egg roll, that was a miss for me. It is cheesy and filled with imitation crab, but too small for me at the price point. And I didn't find it super tasty personally. My sister who is also a yelp elite had a totally different take and loves it, so maybe it's subjective. I did have it 4 hours (put it in air-fryer) after I got it so maybe eating it super fresh is the difference. Space is limited so better for carryout, and the person taking my order was friendly. It'll probably take 20-30 mins for your order to come out, depending on how many people there are and pickup orders they have to complete. Overall, this place is a Maryland staple at this point and anyone who visits MD should 100% try and check out their famous fried chicken, whether as a bao sandwich or a rice bowl.

My friend and I ordered everything from the tuna tartare, chirashi bowl, Toyosu nigiri platter, seared otoro and the matchamisu dessert. This was plenty of food for 2 people. Definitely save some room for dessert as the matchamisu was a take on the tiramisu. The mascarpone, mango and matcha were a great combination. The service here was great. Our servers were attentive and we enjoyed the variety of seafood, Asian fusion and even saw some hibachi items. Azumi is a great place to enjoy some cocktails, sushi or hibachi. I highly recommend booking reservations in advance. The bartender did let me know they have sushi making classes and tuna carving sessions throughout the month. I'll definitely be back to try some different cuts of fish and their sushi rolls.

I came as part of a large group dinner. I appreciate that they took large reservations and sat us in a nice spot in the middle of the restaurant. The server was nice and patient, but I did notice his jacket smelled like cigaret smoke. I asked what to get, since the menu is *huge* and overwhelming (I'm not sure why sushi, steak and pad Thai are on the same menu?). He recommended sushi, so I got a flaming dragon roll (I forget the exact name). Anyways, everyone else also ordered and the food came relatively quickly. Now...when I tell you this is the worst sushi I've ever had. Again, I hate being negative but I have to tell it like it is! When they first presented the dish, it was cool because they serve it on fire. I knew that they had sake in the dish (probably so the flame can keep going after they take it out of the kitchen). However, when I bit into it, the sake was *extremely* overpowering. I couldn't taste anything else except the sake. It was extremely alcohol-heavy and I could not finish the dish. I asked others to try it, and they all agreed that it was too heavy. The prices were also very high for what we got. The only food I enjoyed were the appetizers, but they were still unremarkable. Overall, I regrettably cannot recommend this place. None of the dishes stood out, and the sushi was shocking.

Me and my homegirl were on a budget, so we only stuck to appetizers. I still think it was a little pricy even after splitting, but I would come here again to focus on the entrees rather than the appetizers. The seating is shared between all the restaurants inside the market hall, and we came at a pretty quiet time. Even though it was slow, we did wait quite a bit for our food. We were given the option to have our drinks served first, giving us some down time to mosey around the rest of the market with something sweet to sip on. We were notified that our food was ready, via text. We had the Curry Puff and Moo Ping Nom Sod. The Curry Puff filling was delicious, and the onion vinaigrette was essential to cut through the rich pastry. We spent most of our time in the food court mumbling through stuffed cheeks about how good the pastries were. The Moo Ping Nom Sod was good, surprisingly not as salty as other Thai restaurants. This enabled you to truly enjoy the vegetables it came with, as well as the steaming hot rice that came individually wrapped, ensuring that the rice would be soft even after opening the container.

The sea bream was probably my least favorite of the lineup but still very good. The toro was easily my personal favorite, and I could have eaten 100 of those. Each order comes with two pieces which made trying different options even better. I also got the baked mussels and wowowowow they were so good.
