Friendly staff, waiter was nice. Food was very good and fresh. You really feel like you're in a true Japanese restaurant. The decor is nice looking.

Shellfish allergy receipt

I have a shellfish allergy and I specifically told them to please be aware that I have a shellfish allergy. The allergy is really severe and I could die if I eat shrimp or get near it. I get my order and they gave me shrimp in all of my orders. God forbid I ate this food it could've went really bad. I would not trust this place unless they cook in front of your eyes.

Food is always amazing here, I'm a regular with my family! They have sushi, hibachi, and all kinds of appetizers! Yhe staff are amazing and it always smells great from the kitchen. Hibachi is so fun and the ambiance has fun and happy vibes! This is a must visit!

Went for the hibachi experience for my sisters birthday and it was incredible food and experience! So much food for a reasonable price! I got the steak and shrimp combo and loved it! Chef was fun and interactive. The rice was so incredible and my leftovers held up the next day. 10/10!

This was my first time at Kiku. I was extremely impressed by the amount of Covid safety features that took place. The handless thermometer, only letting one person in at a time to be seated, handwhipes and a bag for your mask when you sit down! The rock shrimp was some of the best I've had in a long time! A little on the spicy side but I definitely enjoyed it. The sweet potato roll was yummy and the rock 'n' roll was good but I wasn't a big fan of the sauce on top it tasted a little bit like barbecue sauce. Won't be ordering that one again!

I found this hidden gem online and saw it gotten really good reviews on goggle. My husband I decided to try this place out. On Sundays they have no specials which was a bummer. They have really great prices on there sushi and the sushi was very fresh and delicious. The inside decor was very nice as well.

Normally dine-in, but got takeout this time. It obviously can not compare to having the chefs cook in front of you, but the food was still delicious. They also give you A LOT of food. Worth the price.

I guess I had high expectations especially when I had numerous of my colleagues recommending this eatery. So I took the initiative and had a family date night. First off, the place is clean and abiding all precautions with hands free temperature screening, hand sanitization, and even a baggie to place your mask in. As well as different door entrances for dine in and takeout. Our server was attentive and sweet. Started off with Rock Shrimp. Lightly battered, the coated sauce was a bit off. The Mister and kiddo had hibachi. Very generous portion, even for the kids size. Plenty to take home. The sushi had nice presentation, but taste didn't follow up with it. I had better and fresher. Normally, I would finish everything, but I ate what I could.

Conveniently located next to Kohl's. Was just expecting a typical Japanese's steakhouse when I walked in. But once I saw the menu, I was very surprised with the different varieties they offer here. Their sushi look amazing, but we were feeling hibachi today. So we ordered the seafood yaki udon, hibachi filet mignon and Japanese fried spring roll (never seen this anywhere else, very excited to try this dish but slightly disappointed myself. It is filled with imitation crab, cheese and one asparagus, the taste is rather bland. And I am not a big fan of the sweet and sour sauce (with orange scent). The seafood yaki udon is below average in my opinion, other than real shrimp, other seafood are like imitation crab, fake fish ball things. The vegetables are not cut well, it looks like the chef just chop it randomly and throw it in. The plating looks great but taste is so- so On the other hand, the hibachi filet mignon tastes much better. But nothing too special about it. Overall, I think this place has very special dishes that you won't find easily elsewhere. But the taste is average. Maybe their sushi will be better.

Food was great!! It was a bday dinner we decided to sit in the quiet section. We walked in and was seated right way. The drinks were great and not watered down. The food was fresh!! It was well Worth the trip from Elkton..

On one hand I want to try again for dinner but for the price, I'm not sure it's worth it. Pros: Amazing service - very attentive server(s); we had one in training/shadowing and she was just as good as our primary server, offering refills, clearing plates, overall greet banter Cocktails are fantastic - had the Minnie Ripperton and loved it - creamy yet refreshing and bright which is a tough combo to achieve Cons: Hidden entrance - after circling what looked like an abandoned building 2x we finally figured out the entrance was in the backy and down a set of stairs. I now understand the "speakeasy vibe" but the clutter in the front made the building look abandoned or under construction; not a great start to the experience for us Food service - the other couple we were dining with got their entrees about 10 minutes before ours and we were some of the first orders & diners of the day. Usually you might hold the whole table or refire some of the dishes so it all comes out at the same time. They finished theirs before we even got our to start, making it a strange eating experience Small print menu - with the low light of the speakeasy, the menu had the teeeeniest print I've ever seen making it very difficult to read the menu options. We also didn't realize that the menu changes/is seasonal (not called out on the website) so many of the items we had wanted to try were not an available option. I love a menu that changes but hope it's indicated on the website (aka: sample menu, subject to seasonal change) Hit-n-miss: Fried chicken Benedict- huge portions, amazing biscuits and perfectly poached (but unseasoned?) eggs. I don't know if the hollandaise soaked into the fried chicken or never existed at all - and that's the thing you want with a Benedict. If it existed, it never reached the biscuits because while they were good, but were completely dry Shrimp and grits - perfectly cooked, great consistency, but very under-seasoned Water - just an observation and maybe it's just the local tap water flavor but it tasted off or as off the soap hadn't been washed from the glasses Pro Tip: be aware of the automatic gratuity in some circumstances; if you don't know, check the website before your meal!

Perfect spot to let the kids run while the food is being prepared. Originally seated outside, our party opted to be re-seated in a shadier spot, under cover. Too much direct sun. A DJ conducted a version of musical Bingo with Crooked Hammock gift cards as prizes. It was very entertaining, especially since one of our table won a round! Our waitress, Kaitlyn, was great. I came at around 5 PM, and it was beautiful outside, but a little hot in the sun. The hostess was willing to see me in a table around the corner, where there was a nice breeze. We had a great server, who was very attentive to our needs. People enjoyed the various food offerings, including the pasta, which had a kick to it. I ordered the chicken thighs, which is a rare treat to find on a menu. My only disappointment was that they were a bit overcooked and dried out. Perhaps it was the time of day, but who knows. Other than that, I would come back and try another dish someday.
