Suki Hana is located in the Christiana Mall Food Court and usually has a big line. They have a great ordering system when the line gets long where a worker comes around the line and marked your box with your order as you come to the counter. The flavor and portions are great and is better than the other chain Chinese Food Court places that serve similar food. I wouldn't say they are a Japanese food place per se, but the food is good. Had their Salt and Pepper Fish platter which comes with two sides, I got their steamed veggies and lo mein noodles, it was fresh and flavorful and perfectly cooked. Honestly, I'd give it 3 stars for the food, but 5 stars on efficiency of this place! Suki Hana has one of the most efficient ordering systems - you place your order with one of the staff members on line, they'll note it on the box, and send you on your way to the front where they'll quickly fill the box with your selections. At first glance, Suki Hana is your generic food court "Japanese" teriyaki grill place, similar to Sarku and Sansei Japan. However, when I was looking at the options at the food court in Christiana mall, I noticed that Suki Hana had a long line. Gotta try it. All I'm saying is that Suki Hana is the best food court Japanese food that I've ever had. It's everything that you want from a Japanese teriyaki grill, but done really well. I got the Teriyaki Chicken and Shrimp plate with half fried rice half chow mein, and everything was super tasty. The chow mein was al dente, reminding me of Chinese Lo Mein. The chicken was super juicy, and the shrimp was plump. All of the food is super fresh. Since it's so busy, they have to constantly grill their proteins to order on the grill. In the end, it's still a generic food court Japanese spot, so I can't give it a 5 star review. They are very inpatient, rude, & dismissive. They are not friendly & courteous of new customers. The gentleman behind me was unfamiliar with their ordering process. It's always a gamble on the food. Sometimes is really good other times they load you container with a ton of rice and barely any of the protein you asked for. I did however witness something today the guy at the grill did. A shrimp fell off someone's container that he toppled with shrimp. He scooped the shrimp up and put it to the side of the grill. He then took that shrimp that was just on the metal part of the display case and mixed it into the shrimp he was cooking and served it to me. I am disgusted! With Covid, Flu, and every other germ going around why would you think it's sanitary to reuse a shrimp that fell? I am completely turned off. They have excellent deals such as a salmon combo for $8.75 where you get a 6 piece salmon roll and 5 salmon nigiri. I've been eating at Suki Hana for the past 10 years, no joke--I remember the days when there was a dinky little movie theater next to the food court. They've been around for far longer than the new management that has turned Christiana Mall into a serious shopping destination. The prices have gone up only about a dollar since the early 2000s, and the quality and portions have stayed the same. I almost always get the same entree dish, not one of the most popular but really amazing, do try it: Kato Chicken, or chicken and green beans with fried onions, lots of pepper, and an addictive sauce. Hands down the best food you can get at the Christiana Mall Food Court. However beware as I have heard stories of people falling victim to food poisoning from here and now I can attest to it. If you are young and healthy go for it. Otherwise the elderly or children should stay clear of this place. I've never had that severe of food poisoning until eating from here. As far as fast-food goes, Suki Hana is awesome! It was my first time here yesterday and it was definitely a good choice for a quick, filling, inexpensive meal. I decided on the Spicy Chicken Combo (#10) with fried rice and veggies. For the low price tag of $5.99, I got overflowing portions of both the chicken and the rice with a good helping of the veggies. The chicken was moist, flavorful, and delicious (just the right amount of spice); the rice wasn't greasy at all, which is usually my biggest issue with fried rice. There is typically a long line that outstretches the neighboring fast food chain's line, but it moves quickly. The servings are incredibly generous for the price, and they have a variety of items to choose from, including a small sushi selection (which I have never tried). Came here today ( 4-18-21 ) at 11:56 am . I ordered a entrée chicken bowl . I also ordered an extra side of chicken ( 5.90$) for my young kids to split the meal . I asked him how much for a small disposal empty bowl so they can share . He goes on to tell me 6 dollars? I repeated empty ? Knowing that I just paid $5.90 for a side order of chicken in the same tiny empty bowl , he looked at me and said again 6$ ?
