Strawberry matcha latte, Azuki red bean matcha latte
    Ilene E.

I know they can't do anything about the exterior, but the stairs are narrow, and a bit high for elder people to walk up. Also be careful coming down those stairs because the streets are kind of narrow too. You need to order and then ask for the key if you want to use the bathroom. The menu is small, but the line is fast. I kind of regret not getting the mango Matcha because I saw everyone with that, maybe another location next time red bean latte was pretty unique. My Mom loved her black sesame latte, and I enjoy my strawberry matcha latte which was quite refreshing. I also recommend the AZUKI MATCHA latte.

Such a cute spot! Got myself a hojicha and onigiri for a quick bite the first time I came here. They have a pretty good hojicha, and the onigiri is alright, nothing special. Now the SECOND time I visited, I got their red bean latte, and if you also love red bean, this drink is an absolute gem. It's sweet but also has the subtle savoriness and earthiness of red bean. I've never had red bean lattes before and now am wondering why it took me so long to try something this delectable. I'm not too fond of matcha, but I did hear from my friends that they prefer the mango matcha to the strawberry matcha.

Their matcha was my favorite matcha I've had in New York! Not overpowering the sakura and the strawberry flavor and felt very light compared to other matcha drinks I've had at other places. I also love their store merch and couldn't help but buy a pouch and their matcha tins. A great study space, their restrooms were also clean and we got our drinks relatively fast which is nice.

Love Kijitora! Came here on a saturday morning to escape from the cold, with some girl friends for a little morning coffee/matcha date. This location is a little bigger than their mini location and it has some seating inside. I got the miso salmon onigiri rice ball which was so good. The only thing is that was a lot of rice when I took the first few bites, but the salmon was very tasty. My friend and I got the iced strawberry matcha latte which we lovedd. I finished mine too quick, and It's definitely one of the best strawberry matcha lattes that i've ever tried. My sister in law got the tiramisu latte which she enjoyed, but she did note that it was very sweet. We enjoyed hanging out in the cafe. It feels so zen inside and the ambiance is so nice. Such a lovely place to chill for a coffee date.

Stumbled upon this adorable Japanese cafe that's completely cat themed, and of course I had to stop in and check it out! It's honestly the cutest place ever!! I ordered the iced black sesame latte with white chocolate cream and it was so good. Definitely recommend this one! Super rich, smooth, and really well balanced. I also tried the miso salmon onigiri (rice ball) for $4. It was just okay. I didn't really taste the miso, and it was mostly rice with very little salmon. A bit dry overall... I'd come back for the drinks though. They have some really interesting latte flavors on the menu that I'd love to try next time.

Food/drinks: yum! Tried tiramisu latte (it's very sweet) and kabocha seasonal drink, also very good! I wouldn't say I loved it but it was good! Atmosphere: very busy!! Cute though and large! Lots of tiny tables with benches Service: normal! Price: $$ pricey but not abnormal for New York

    Mango Matcha Latte.

After some shopping in the area, I stopped by for a drink. The space is spacious, but could use some tables and chairs as the center is left quite empty. I ordered the Mango Matcha Latte ($7.75) with Oat Milk (+$0.75). Make sure you mix the drink really well, so you get a good balance of mango and matcha. I almost drank this too quickly as it was such a nice combo that worked well together without overpowering. Also tried my friend's Miso Mocha ($6.75), which was too strong in saltiness for me. Stick to the matcha here IMO. And I like the various flavors of matcha they offered too.

You might miss it because it's technically not on the ground floor. There's a small set of stairs that lead to the front door. I got the mango matcha and honestly it was really good. The mango and matcha combo really works and the mango makes the matcha really creamy! The drink came really quickly and the staff was very nice.

Missed my yoga class but was thrilled to see that this was closeby!!! Strawberry Matcha was phenomenal and very umami. Unfortunately there are no seats and it's entirely grab and go They sell merch and cute little trickets inside though.

Matcha is always perfect. The ratios and flavors are consistent! The onigiris are the best snack. The seating is nice, the lighting is really pretty inside. Gets busy quickly on weekends!

The matcha is so creamy. The fruit puree is fresh and adds that natural sweetness to the drink! While the beverage was good, it didn't blow me away. Also, my friend got the onigiri and it didn't have enough filling... there was way too much rice. The employees were super kind and helpful. There's some seating inside to enjoy the drinks - we sat by the windows which was nice.

Tried the mango matcha and it was iconic. The mango wasn't too sweet, but there was way more of it than I expected. Spacious seating, good vibe, and they sell cute trinkets and merch inside. Nice place to hang out for a bit.

This location is a solid 4 for the grilled cheese sandwich. I'm not a fan of grilled cheese sandwich but this one is just chief kiss. I really enjoyed the buttery and a little but it salt on the bread with the mozzarella and turkey. I'm just thinking about wanting another one while I'm writing this. As for the strawberry matcha, it was ok. Not enough matcha flavor for me. I don't taste the umami. The matcha is pretty much premade. They just poured it into the cup with the scale. Overall, I wouldn't get matcha here. I only drank a quarter of it and tossed it out.

The menu changes constantly and you can find the latest menu on their Instagram stories which they update daily. As a rule of thumb, plan to get dessert. The dark chocolate tiramisu slice we were served was healthy in size, rich in flavor and perfect to split between the two of us. I tend to order 3 dishes (one protein and two side dishes) when coming in with a friend. The dishes are always a reminder of how simple ingredients can be combined to create fantastic flavors. As a note, the Chicken Cutlet was perfectly crisp and now I feel inclined to stop in for lunch and grab a sandwich. The wines are definitely selected by someone who has a preference for funky I almost want to say musky flavors. Never really found something there that I liked which is the only drawback to this place. Get a reservation, this place can be packed very quickly. It's also good for small groups, I've seen many a birthday dinner take place here.

While the place is pretty cute aesthetically, the service was awful. I had made a reservation since that's what's recommended by the establishment and everyone we interacted with was pretty unpleasant. In addition, the cake tasted old and so freezer burnt that we had one bite and discarded the rest. Nothing about it was appealing. Worst of all no one seemed to want to wait on us so we spent the whole time trying to flag someone down so we left cash on the table for everything and left. Dispute all this we decided to still tip 30% since our order was so small and we wanted to be courteous. 15 mins later I get an extremely rude phone call from the restaurant immediately accusing me of leaving without paying! They didn't even have the decency to check the table without immediately assuming and being unbelievable disrespectful. Still in disbelief about the entire experience, would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

I first ordered a chai latte and he said I could do two different syrups so I got the pumpkin and salted maple, though I was worried about it being too sugary so he suggested I could just do half a pump of each. He asked me what the name of the order would be and I said "Aida" (the phonetic spelling is ah-EE-dah). And then I heard the other barista say something along the lines of, "oh Aida, how about 'Aida' rather not be here", pretty rude if you ask me. And then I ordered the spicy nook sandwich. And when another server called my named to grab it she didn't even knowledge me when I tried to thank her and instead she talked to her coworker while I was right in front of her. The sandwich was really good, so was my chai tea. I really like the pumpkin and salt and maple syrups too. I did like all the options for seating although it was pretty packed. I'd say if you have a big party get there early. By 7pm the whole place was filled. There was a huge majong club that came in and took the whole back area, it was so crammed there were lines for the bathroom. Over all I had a good time. I really like the music too just know it gets very busy in there. The employees I would say were hit or miss. The ones that were great though I really liked. Just seem like the ones who didn't really give attention to customers or were kind of rude seemed like they didn't wanna be there.

I let it go but then I order my regular small iced coffee "light &sweet" as you can tell the coffee was not light at all and I almost felt uncomfortable to even bother to ask them to change it. So I paid $6 for a regular small iced coffee that I did not enjoy. It was cool inside and being the workers freshly making coffee beans (that is so unique) and it was beautiful inside and had a cute selections to buy something.... But when you have the workers you do have really represents your company. And I have no problem paying money for good quality coffee which you can tell it was.
