Apple pop tart
Alex H.

Nako in cobble hill is a cozy coffee shop with rotating specialty lattes and excellent seasonal pastry offerings. We dropped in last Fall for a morning coffee date and had their specialty chestnut latte which was subtly nutty and spicy. We also tried their spiced apple pop tart and chai cruffin. The pop tart was nicely crispy and served warm with apple pie filling. The cruffin had a gorgeous flaky texture and a lovely chai custard filling. Both the coffee and pastries delivered here and we intend to make this a regular haunt of ours

Chai and chestnut latte

This place is so good! We got their specialty chai latte (that comes with a blend of non dairy milks that gives it such a unique and delicious taste) and a chestnut latte that my partner said is his favorite latte right now and he's been craving it ever since. This spot is close to bk bridge park so you can get your drinks to go & walk around the park or get your drinks in cups to stay & enjoy your time in their cute cafe. They have a long sharable table in the back, minimal "bar" seating, and some window spots in the front. Perfect to read a book or get some work done. I love that they have a bathroom for use & water station. Overall, cute aesthetic and great drinks

nako latte, mint lemon iced tea

One of the happiest little life moments--stumbling upon a cozy neighborhood café completely by chance.   Tucked away on a quiet street in the historic Brooklyn Heights and right next to the famous Cloudy Donuts, I was instantly drawn to Nako by its clean, minimalist aesthetic. It turns out they just opened their doors four months ago.   In a city overflowing with aesthetic cafes, Nako has already won me over. They serve artisan coffee and pour-overs using quality beans. The gorgeous handmade ceramic mugs to the beautifully poured latte art genuinely made me smile.   *Nako Latte $7 I got their signature Nako Latte, a latte infused with cardamom syrup and made with a special house milk blend (mix of whole and cashew milk). It was lightly sweet and subtly spiced--I'll definitely get this again.   *Mint Lemon Iced Tea $5 Very minty--perfect if you're a fan! My boyfriend really loved this one. Refreshing and bold, especially on a warm day.

Super cute cafe with tables inside and out to work from. They have wifi and the login information is at the counter. Staff are friendly! I got an iced Nako Matcha Latte with Sea Salt Earl Gray (2.5/5). The matcha taste was alright but I didn't get any Earl Gray taste and the cup was SO SMALL.

Great vibes and coffee! Really enjoyed the atmosphere here - great spot to catch up with a friend or have coffee. Their cookie was also very good! Would definitely check it out if you're in Brooklyn Heights!

Beautiful cafe, every little detail was so thoughtful. A true visual pleasure! I got a mint iced tea, my boyfriend got a flat white. We both were impressed with our beverages. I also really liked the cute cup they serve it in.

Hot spiced chai

Cute, cozy cafe and honestly, the only thing I've tried is their spiced chai!!! It's chef's kiss whether hot or cold. I have glanced at their pastries, but nothing really catches my eye.

Columbia Place has a lot more businesses in play since I last visited. I had seen Nako randomly on social media so I made the time to visit. I think the place is really cute. There are chairs outside (definitely great for the spring- early fall time), a bench attached to the counter and a table in the back for seating. I'm uncertain if WiFi is available though people were comfortable using laptops in the back. They have the standard cafe options plus a couple of pastries. They also have specialty drinks including their Nako matcha latte which has earl grey syrup and sea salt flakes. I got that iced with oat milk. Overall it is a really serene spot. It is relatively close to the water (a few blocks from Brooklyn Bridge Park). The people working was good at answering questions. It was relatively busy for a Sunday afternoon (though it was bright outside so people in the neighborhood would be taking advantage). They sell coffee by the bag and also cups they use in store if that's the studies you like. Overall, a cute find for the neighborhood.

Pricey but a spa like coffee, iced tea and focaccia experience - low-fi music and sometimes it lets itself go into a higher energy. Restrooms available and not grungy -

A very welcome addition to the neighborhood with excellent coffee!! The vibes are great and it's a wonderful place to work or to meet a friend for a coffee. I will say that there may be a few kinks they need to iron out still, as it's happened twice already that I waited over 10 minutes for a drink simply because they forgot about me or because there was lack of communication between the cashier and the barista. One time they comped our drink for this mistake. Soooo maybe not the best place if you're in a hurry for your coffee to go. I absolutely love all the drinkware they serve their drinks in! And the baked goodies are a great addition as well.

Great flavors. Wished the matcha taste was a bit stronger but overall good drink. The cup size is a bit small, I drank it in a few seconds. Maybe it was just hot that day.

Had to come back to try it after finding out they opened! The coffee shop is a multi roaster currently serving Ilse and Graziela , you cannot go wrong with either options. We got an oat latte and an americano with their two different espresso offerings. The americano was incredibly pulled with crema still sitting on top (the way my wife loves it) and my latte was perfect, not light not dark and still can taste the coffee. Later on we saw they made pour overs and got one with Ilse, clean and perfect. Will come back once they switch their coffees but for now, this space has incredible potential for this area.

He is the best mixologist in NYC. He danced with lemon slices cutting through pours of clear liquids from heights. He tossed and shook, and was precise and caring. A true artist. David made our night. The only reason I would ever walk back into this place is to sit at the bar and let David mesmerize me. FOOD: Broccoli rabe was fresh, but I needed a steak knife to cut through it. It was very al dente. Not cut properly, which is to cut crosses in the stems. Salad was fresh and crisp, high quality fennel and greens. Lovely. Agnoletti was divine. Home made. Focaccia very good with subtle flavors and just the right crust. Olive oil, good. The front of house staff was lovely, two ladies, and a friendly guy. Super lovely. Treated us like friends. Also the busboys were all gentlemen. I loved them. They brushed crumbs off the table with panache. The only complaint is the waiter was robotic, and issued rule after rule. No smile. EX: It was a freezing night. We wanted to order appetizer's first, and have a chance to look at the menu. He couldn't do that. "I need the whole order." Then one of us wanted to order the pre fixe dinner. "You can't do that. You both have to order it." He was very cold, a robot. To enjoy ourselves, we had to push through the horrible treatment. Too bad for the waiter, when I asked about the special pasta, he butchered the pronunciation, giving me a soft pitch to teach him Italian. I blasted him. C'est la vie.

Started light with the Caesar salad -- crispy, chilled, and judging me silently for how fast I inhaled it. That cacio e pepe came out looking so good I almost stood up and clapped. Fresh truffles on top, giant block of cheese on the side... bro, it wasn't a dish -- it was a flex. I took one bite and immediately understood why Italians talk with their hands. Closed the night with the ricotta cheesecake -- soft, rich, and honestly one of the few things sweeter than me. Place has the vibe on lock. Decor? Classy. Environment? Smooth. Staff? As I said before, this is a community spot. Everyone here is relaxed, having a long, leisurely, European style meal. I had a small board, chef's choice. I requested a fromage board, but got a charcuterie board . . . and that's okay, as I was lucky enough to get some tasty prosciutto. The cheeses ranged from chunky and savory to creamy to tangy. Went great with the honey and French bread. Most menu cocktails are average, but there is an "off the menu" selection you can ask for (mostly bourbon based, owner/bar tender creations). I enjoyed working with my server to get try some more unique choices. Between the charcuterie board, the bourbon drinks, and the boeuf bourguignon, the meal was great. I will say the boeuf bourguignon wasn't quite as wowing as last time . . . no pearl onions or carrots . . . but still good. I'm pretty sure the menu has changed or is maybe smaller. But no matter . . . the mood and the welcoming atmosphere and lack of crowds makes up for this. I think I might return and try the French onion soup. I'm sure it's killer.

Our waitress came over to check on us numerous times throughout dinner. The foie gras was under seasoned and didn't taste like much of anything. Both the beef and chicken were very homey dishes but yet again, under seasoned. The mashed potatoes could use more butter and some salt in the food would've made all the difference. The place itself is pretty cute with a lot of local artwork. We probably won't be back
