Pretty overpriced for what it is, with some bizarre flavor choices on some of the menu items. The BLT is slathered with dijon mustard, and has red onion, and kinda just tasted like a mustard-and-onion sandwich, totally overpowering the B, L, and T. It's like they're trying to add more ingredients to menu items in order to try and justify the high prices, but at the cost of balancing flavors. Just a regular BLT that literally was a BLT woulda been fine. And if they really wanted to use the other ingredients, give the BLT a small side salad or something, rather than putting those extra unneeded ingredients on the sandwich and destroying the flavor profile of it specifically. Ambiance is okay. The look of the place inside provides an oasis of sorts for the block, which is nice. Tables are pretty wobbly--mine was, and so I checked the one next to mine, and it was too. Bathroom is a little wonky, with one of those sinks that are inexplicably full of rocks, such that when you're washing your hands, water coming down off your hands is immediately splashing back up at your hands when it hits the rocks. And there isn't much room for your hands between the rocks and the faucet itself. Staff is kinda weird. Sat at a table, then halfway through they told me they had to move the table I was at like 12 inches to the right to set up for an event. Fine, whatever. Then after moving, the guy puts a giant speaker on a stand right next to my head, and it's like, well obviously I'm not gonna want to sit with my head right next to a giant speaker. Just have me move to somewhere else entirely. Literally no one would want to sit in that spot--especially when 80% of the tables the other tables in the place are open and available. Overall, I don't think I'll be back, but who knows. read more

Don't be like me and order food and then realize everything is Vegan at this coffee shop/bar. I did see the menu and take a quick look at it saw some V's next to items, but did not realize that it was a Vegan only place. I had gotten a bacon, egg and cheese but I know some vegan food contains things I am allergic to. So I was hesitant to try my breakfast sandwich. I did get an iced latte from here. It was ok. This coffee shop Than turns into a bar later on as I saw alot of alchi bottles and such behind the bar. It's a great space I will give this place that. Maybe I will come back here one evening to try their drinks and vibes at night. Service was ok. A little on the slower side but it was a tad busy. One of the workers did answer some of my questions about ingredient's though. Which was nice. read more

My friend and I went here Friday morning to catch up and get drinks. This cafe I believe is bee themed as it had a gorgeous honeycomb displayed in a shadow box below the menu and has the name bee in the menu I was impressed by their prices as I've seen $12 matches before in Brooklyn. Mine was about $5.50 I believe before tax and tip. I ordered an iced matcha latte with coconut milk and she ordered a coffee with an apple cinnamon scone. I was a little disappointed they didn't have almond milk, but as far as dairy alternatives go, they do offer oat, coconut and soy. I regret not adding a sweetener to my matcha as it came a little too milky and watered down, but my friend loved her coffee and we both agreed the scone was delicious. It came with powdered sugar on top and had a really great crunch to it, while still being moist/not too dry. Inside it got packed quickly with people co-working, socializing and bringing their dogs. There were some board games around including bingo cards I noticed by the self-serve simple syrup station, which I thought was cute. This seems like a really great coffee shop with a fun community vibe! read more

One of my fav interiors of a cafe i've visited in new york! They have plenty of space to study and it feels very open. I believe i got the barbecue "chicken" sandwhich and it was perfect. It had the right sort of tanginess and it filled me up. I also got a matcha latte with pistachio syrup and it was good, nothing outside the ordinary. read more

Coffee was good. Food wasn't tasty. Egg avocado toast is a definitely no, 3 dollars price difference and only some yellow pieces that you can't even tell if you're eating egg or not. Also, this place is extremely overpriced. 2 coffee and 2 toast, paid $40. They're not even selling specialty coffee. Staff was not smiley. Ambiance is good, fresh and nice to work. Great cafe/bar in Dumbo for working from home, reading on your own, or catching up with a friend! It's quite busy earlier during the day so arrive early if you want a spot to sit. They have a cool vibe with great music and lots of seating (tables and bar seating). The matcha donut (not pictured because I ate it way too quickly) was delicious and next time I would try the cinnamon roll which seems to be a classic. Beepublic served its purpose for me but did not stand out in any way. It is conveniently near the Brooklyn Flea, and can be a nice place to have some respite and use the bathroom. I had a matcha with coconut milk and it was a bit watery, and slightly bitter as compared to other matcha lattes I have had. I drink the whole thing so I cannot complain in that regard, but I may try somewhere else in the future. I didn't try the food, but I believe everything is plant-based, or at least a large portion of the menu. Good to note for those with dietary restrictions. read more

Beepublic is a quality coffee shop serving the DUMBO area. I really appreciate just being able to walk in here and quickly get a cup of coffee. The staff were really nice and welcoming. The latte is ordered was made in record time - I was blown away! This is starting to become a theme in NYC coffee shops...they just don't mess around here. What's even better about this place beyond the fast service is the amount of seating. There's bar seating, and then plenty of comfortable spots where you can post up and chill, including outside. It's really nice, and the great music choice definitely makes it even better. The location is also super convenient - I love that it's right off Jay street and really close to the subway. Recently opened coffee shop in Dumbo. Got the SEC sandwich for lunch once and it was delicious! Love that their sandwich offerings are all plant-based/vegan but they do have honey in some foods. I ordered through their website thinking it would be convenient to swing by and pickup on my lunch break but that's not the case! Their website has been out of date and they don't even receive the orders from there anymore so stay clear of the website! They are on seamless, grubhub, and ubereats though if you want to preorder another way. The cashier apologized and refunded me for the empanada I paid for which they don't stock anymore. The wait for them to make the sandwich was short anyway (~10 min) plus they threw in an oat cookie peanut butter sandwich for free. I'm not a fan of oatmeal cookies or peanut butter but the cookie was great! Got a chai tea from here once too and it was fine. Nothing spectacular. There's a couple two seater tables outside on the sidewalk - very lowkey but take a stroll to the Dumbo waterfront for more seating and a better view! read more

The only suggestion for the owner and management is to be more flexible. Why not to serve coffee at evenings? This is a small little spot that is more of a coffee shop than tea shop. I came to order some tea and they didn't seem to know what I was talking about. I don't hold that against them since they probably do a lot more coffee than tea. They have a few different canned matcha drinks if you are into that. They said they have been there for a few months so I wish them luck. Cool spot in an area filled with coffee spots. It is a little hidden but come check it out. read more

New coffee shop in the Dumbo/Vinegar Hill area. Have not had the coffee or tea, but their version of the Beyond Burger and a vegan BLT, both using honey mustard, are great. If you're a vegan who doesn't eat honey, I assume you can ask them not to include it. The service is quick, but it depends on the time of day your order. I think they use honey from their own apiary (so Brooklyn, but also environmentally friendly). Good for meat eaters too. read more
