    scallion bun, strawberry hojicha latte

I'm actually obsessed!! I love the nostalgic Hong Kong theme. Their menu is so creative, and I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu. I had such a good strawberry hojicha (strong hojicha taste, strawberry syrup was not too sweet) and a yummy scallion bun too. The staff are so kind, and there are so many people working behind the counter, they make drinks so fast. It's the perfect cafe for wfh - there is a clean bathroom, free wifi, and many outlets! There are even bag hooks under window seating. Overall, I highly recommend this spot, whether you're looking for a cafe to do some work, catch up with a friend, or just for a grab-and-go drink and pastry. This is such a cute addition to the neighborhood.

They serve classic Hong Kong drinks (e.g., milk tea, lemon tea, yuen yeung, honey lemon), a variety of matcha and tea drinks, as well as light bites and Hong Kong-style pastries. I love the details of their interior. They used classic Hong Kong cafe floor tiles, combined with stainless steel for their counter and shelves, to create that authentic vibe. I especially enjoyed the corridor space. It reminds me of movies and MVs from the 80s and 90s. When I was there, they were playing a playlist featuring songs ranging from the era of 葉麗儀 (Frances Yip) to 衛蘭 (Janice Vidal).

I returned this weekend with a friend to try some of their other sandwiches and had a lovely meal. The staff are kind and accommodating and they have plenty of nice outdoor seating, it's a little more crowded inside. The toasted fennel ranch chicken cutlet was flavorful, crispy, and the bread was notably good. I liked the homemade ranch on there and the fennel flavor really came through. The peach cube was a yummy end to the meal, light not terribly sweet. We want to come back for dinner, apparently the nighttime desserts are epic!

While the place is pretty cute aesthetically, the service was awful. I had made a reservation since that's what's recommended by the establishment and everyone we interacted with was pretty unpleasant. In addition, the cake tasted old and so freezer burnt that we had one bite and discarded the rest. Nothing about it was appealing. Worst of all no one seemed to want to wait on us so we spent the whole time trying to flag someone down so we left cash on the table for everything and left. Dispute all this we decided to still tip 30% since our order was so small and we wanted to be courteous. 15 mins later I get an extremely rude phone call from the restaurant immediately accusing me of leaving without paying! They didn't even have the decency to check the table without immediately assuming and being unbelievable disrespectful. Still in disbelief about the entire experience, would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

Shucks I wanted to give this place five stars but it didn't start so well. The first barista who…read moretook my order was really great. I first ordered a chai latte and he said I could do two different syrups so I got the pumpkin and salted maple, though I was worried about it being too sugary so he suggested I could just do half a pump of each. He asked me what the name of the order would be and I said "Aida" (the phonetic spelling is ah-EE-dah). And then I heard the other barista say something along the lines of, "oh Aida, how about 'Aida' rather not be here", pretty rude if you ask me. And then I ordered the spicy nook sandwich. And when another server called my named to grab it she didn't even knowledge me when I tried to thank her and instead she talked to her coworker while I was right in front of her. The sandwich was really good, so was my chai tea. I really like the pumpkin and salt and maple syrups too. I did like all the options for seating although it was pretty packed. I'd say if you have a big party get there early. By 7pm the whole place was filled. There was a huge majong club that came in and took the whole back area, it was so crammed there were lines for the bathroom. Over all I had a good time. I really like the music too just know it gets very busy in there. The employees I would say were hit or miss. The ones that were great though I really liked. Just seem like the ones who didn't really give attention to customers or were kind of rude seemed like they didn't wanna be there.

First…read moreoff this was a few months back but let me say the women working that day were super rude and looked annoyed that I even interrupted their personal conversation. I let it go but then I order my regular small iced coffee "light &sweet" as you can tell the coffee was not light at all and I almost felt uncomfortable to even bother to ask them to change it. So I paid $6 for a regular small iced coffee that I did not enjoy. It was cool inside and being the workers freshly making coffee beans (that is so unique) and it was beautiful inside and had a cute selections to buy something.... But when you have the workers you do have really represents your company. And I have no problem paying money for good quality coffee which you can tell it was. Yet I couldn't get past how rude I was treated. Especially when I stroll in and you're completely empty and I'm being very sweet and I get the vibes I did... Some things make or break an experience!
