If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT GO HERE. Bought a car, signed a contract for 3% interest and $440 a month, 3-4 weeks later they couldn't deliver their end of the deal and I ended up with a huge difference in interest (8.12%) , and a higher payment ($518) I wouldn't have bought a new car if that were the case. I specifically got a new car for the 3% interest and they knew that, I loved my previous car. I asked if there was anything we could do or if I was stuck and they told me I was unfortunately stuck. My bf went there to have them fix the situation and they said since i signed (because they acted like there was nothing that could be done and I was stuck) they aren't doing anything about it. They are definitely as shady as shady gets. HOWEVER, Dylan (the salesman, not the finance douche, along with with Fadi being a douche) is amazing, and doesn't deserve to work at such a shady place. sold me a car for 27k. had it for a week and the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. went back had it for two months and they claimed to have did all this stuff to it. then they sent it to Audi to look at it. Audi says they filled it up with way too much oil and put the turbo on wrong. Audi quoted thousands in repairs needed to have it run properl. went back to Keifers and there idea was let's get you out of the car and into a new one. yeah what a joke, they idea was to treat it like a trade in. they wanted to give nothing for the car they sold me. there idea was to roll thousand of dollars onto the the next cad and Racine my payment 300.00 a month to cover the money loss on the Audi. they said they are not giving what we paid for the Audi because they were not going to lose money on the deal. what a scam huh? sell you a bad car pretend to fix, and then offer to get you in another car as a trade in and screw the customers over. so I'm the end they sell two cars and put me in debt and a 900 dollar payment for a used car. so in reality, I am stuck with a car that I will be paying over 10k in motor repairs so when it comes down to it, they sold me a car that will cost me 20k over blue book value. just be careful if you use them. they don't care if customers are happy. read more

I was a victim of false advertising by Kiefer Mazda. On my social media I saw an add stating that Kiefer Mazda was having an "underwater" sale . They advertised that it was no problem if you owed money on your current vehicle. They were interested and would help a person get a new vehicle. I went in and got my car appraised. I was looking for a more economical vehicle. I was a little leery to try to get approved due to past shoddy treatment I have received at the dealer. GM Chris Walker and salesperson kylene were very confident they could get me in a new ride. Due to being leery of Kiefer I left. Then I got an add on social media about a voucher sale. It was part of the "underwater " sale too. The add stated that if customers asked for and received an on line voucher they would have access to specially discounted cars. Only 100 vouchers were gonna be given out. I received one. During this time I was receiving messages from Kiefer mazda sale site assuring me that if I had proof of income, proof of address , and valid ID I would be able to acquire a new vehicle. I actually , stupidly felt confident going back to dealership. No one in dealership knew anything about any vouchers. I had to show my salesperson the add and messages from Kiefer Mazda on my phone. I still ended up test driving a vehicle. I thought I had it. Then later the next afternoon I received a text saying that I had been denied due to negative equity on my current car. I was shocked, angry and embarrassed. I complained about the dealership and talked to Jacob Kiefer. I also talked to owner John Kiefer. Jacob said that there was a mistake and that I was approved after all. I have never been told what I was approved for and am now being given the silent treatment. This dealership does not care about its customers at all. They will stoop to false advertising and false promises. It seems to be the Kiefer family way. Amazing experience here. I buy a lot of cars, but this is only the second brand new car I've ever purchased. A 2021CX-5 Turbo Carbon edition. I wish I had checked reviews before I headed in. It's been a year and I am still upset at my experience with this location. It is hard, hard, hard to visit a dealership with kids. It is harder still when one or both of the kids has special needs. I was referred to this dealership, and this salesperson, by a friend who had an awesome experience, so I give them a star on her behalf. She didn't have any hassles and really enjoyed the experience. For me, I really enjoyed my salesperson's personality and liked working with them. I was up front about my budget, had pre-approval, knew what I wanted, and just needed a salesperson to help make it happen. I completely understand that sales staff need to make quota and they make money off of commission. That's what's so confusing- this sale was a slam dunk but it felt like they were collectively trying to drive me away. I was very clear that I have two special-needs kids and can't spend HOURS at a dealership. I wanted to look online, but their website seems to be perpetually glitching, not loading, etc. I emailed the salesperson and, giving CLEAR parameters, asked if we could work over email. They said YES, this would work great. And yet I was called down to the dealership to check out a vehicle that was over my budget, that they were "pretty sure they could talk their manager into discounting this one vehicle to meet our needs." They pressured me into running my credit when I had already stated I had financing (they just wanted to be SURE they couldn't get me a better deal and to see if I qualified for a BETTER discount.) I was also clear I was trying to get financing on a house and didn't want to mess up my credit. Of course they couldn't find me a better rate or payment schedule, so it was a waste. I was referred to a manager, who looked like the DA from Breaking Bad. It was panic-inducing, like being interrogated and the higher the pressure, the more I just wanted to leave. Our trade-in was worthless but he was doing us a "favor" by taking it if we'd accept the higher price? Yikes. We said, "No thank you." and left. That was 3 hours. The kids mostly held it together through the appointment thanks to a lot of distraction, but were exhausted and shook up the rest of the night, hard to get to sleep, and over-tired and difficult all the next day. Second time I came in alone. The salesperson showed me a vehicle that had just been accepted as trade and needed cleaned and reviewed. They were pretty sure this one would be in my price range but, naturally, they'd need to speak to the manager. I arranged another appointment to come back. I specifically asked not to speak to that manager. I didn't care for the intimidation tactics. They laughed, said they understood, and agreed. That "quick" appointment to come in and talk to the manager about what that specific vehicle was going to be priced (seriously- this couldn't have been a phone call or an email?!) apparently translated into was spending hours at the dealership, first waiting for our salesperson, then waiting on the manager. Despite making, and keeping, a set appointment day/time, they weren't sure if I was coming because I didn't confirm it a second time. What?! You confirm an appointment once- why on earth would you confirm it twice? Confirmed is confirmed. I ended up speaking with the salesperson ONCE and then being referred immediately to the manager I didn't feel comfortable working with. That was a wait as our salesperson took off with another customer but apparently no one communicated that we were waiting on the manager. I should have left. Heck, I shouldn't have given it a third chance. The manager said they'd need to run my credit again to make sure I qualified for their best price/rate (again- pre-approved through my credit union.) He didn't want to talk to us until this was done, so fine. After 2 hours of waiting on a price on a specific vehicle, the manager stated that he didn't know where the salesperson thought the vehicle would be the price I said I needed. He stated a much higher price as the hard line but kept insisting the price doesn't matter because he could get the payments to where we needed them to be. That's asinine and insulting, frankly. There's no finding something that'll work, no negotiation, no appreciation for our business. We felt like he was doing us a favor by even speaking with us. I can't understand where, in any of this, I miscommunicated or left room for interpretation. We wasted our time, risked our credit with two unnecessary hard-checks, and we just felt our time and intelligence were disrespected and that we and our kids had been unnecessarily jerked around. I find myself in the position of shopping for a car again this year, and it won't be at any Kiefer location, let alone this one, if this is how the people are trained. You can't tell me a professional car dealership can't get their website together in the first place. Sick of games. read more

Worst service department ever! I took my car there for a flat tire and after they replaced my tire it never drove right again (the steering wheel kept shaking when I drove it and the air pressure in one of my tire kept going down). I had to bring it back to Mazda in the morning when the engine lights went off before work for a couple of days trying to let them know the problem but they couldn't figure it out and finally Ryan was just rude to me and told me I needed an appointment before they looked at it again. It stopped driving right after THEY REPLACED MY TIRE! So I finally decided to take it to a different tire store since Mazda doesn't know how to service tires and the other shop found out that the Mazda service guys put my tires on backwards, the alignment was over 3 inches off and one of the tires had a hole in it. It drives like a new car now after they fixed it. The people at Mazda could not figure this out and they treated ME rudely because they can't do their job. I also had to pay extra for another shop to fix their bad work. I'll never go back there. read more

Damn, can't say enough great things. This was my second car buying experience and what a night and day difference. Trevor found me my dream car that I thought they had sold (apparently he has the same one so we both have impeccable taste I guess), he was super thorough, informative, genuine, had a voice like Ron Swanson and most importantly wasn't pushy at all. Fadi the GM was funny, personable and most importantly worked his magic twice and got me a great APR. Klarissa in finance was also super pleasant and made filling out all that paperwork not so bad. Went to Kiefer to get the 30,000-mile service done on our 2018 Mazda CX-5 AWD. The service manager listed off a number of items the "service" entailed, including changing the transmission, transfer case, differential fluids and engine coolant. The price: $1,100! After double-checking the owner's manual for scheduled maintenance, I found out that the transmission/differential fluids don't need to be changed until 120,000 miles even under "severe service." Same with engine coolant. Sorry, Kiefer Mazda, you lost a customer because of your service department's unsavory "up-sell" tactics. I trust you not. read more

They sold us a car with an alarm that randomly goes off. Literally randomly, any hour, any day. When I take it it to get it looked at and fixed, they charge me 140 just to see WHY the alarm is going off. Okay, sure, understandable for their time and stuff I guess. They claim to find the problem, cool. I pay ANOTHER 580 for them to fix it. Yet, it's not fixed. The alarm is still going off. I go in yesterday to see why, and they say simple fix, just have to recalibrate the BCM which they replaced. AWESOME! I thought. Three hours later, the alarm is going off again with no outside force triggering it and us nowhere near the keys. So now I'm out almost 800 bucks, and the car still isn't fixed. WORST place ever to buy a vehicle. We bought THREE vehicles from them when we were younger. The last one was a Chevy Tahoe and 2 days after I bought it, the engine blew. They absolutely refused to help us. I was pregnant and very sick. They granted us an "audience" with John Keifer and he proceeded to tell my husband that he wasn't going to help us because he didn't like my attitude! (I'm sure I looked miserable, because I was.) I have used a broker for the last 20 years but we were in a timeframe to replace my wife's car due to hers being totaled in an accident. She really wanted to stay with the Mazda she had before. Eric Q was our sales guy and we appreciated his style and lack of sales pressure. After looking at her potential next car we gave it a night and said we would call in the AM. We made an offer and they countered with a very reasonable offer that we accepted. Scumbaggery. (I should note, before proceeding, that these people leap upon comments made about them - at least on Google Plus - more than any entity I've reviewed in my life. A bit of an obsession with public image, wouldn't you say? People are entitled to their own views based on personal experiences without having the overtly desperate Public Relations Squad swoop in with their all-too predictable last-word spin) So I get a flyer in the mail, with a quaint lotto-like attachment: flip up the little panels to see if you've won! Of course, *all* of these flyers are winners... depending on your definition of the term. You see, there are four prizes: three big cash jackpots, and then a great many $5 gift cards for a certain mega-chain store (it starts with a "W"). In other words, if you get the flyer, you get the card. So what's The Catch? The Catch is that you're supposed to show up at the dealership to claim your prize. Starting to smell fishy? Starting to suspect that they're not giving away gift cards out of the kindness of their hearts? Oh, it gets better. Part two of The Catch is that you have to call a number on the flyer... as it turns out, to schedule an appointment time to claim your prize. And if that little tidbit doesn't set off alarm bells, then I've got a cozy condo in Fallujah to sell you. It went as follows: I called the number, got some despondent woman who immediately said "I don't know what your prize is" (!) "and you'll need to schedule a specific time to come in". Really? To pick up a $5 gift card? The explanation was that "they couldn't have thousands of people showing up at the same time", as though handling a simple line of people would be super difficult. Let me simplify this process, translating from BullShit to reality (not least because my dad was running this scam back in the 60's; it's not exactly rocket science): - A company uses a misleading technique to get you in the door (a "you may have won" mailer in which literally everyone is a "winner") - You have to go to a specific place at a special time to get your "winnings" - Once there, it's an hour of some commission-driven sleazebag trying to buddy-buddy you into buying a car you don't want/need (if you were there for a car, you wouldn't have needed a sketchy & insincere flyer in the mail), followed generally by the "hard sell" guy, a salesman brought in to close the deal in a decidedly rougher manner than the first guy's overabundance of social lube All for a $5 gift card. What kind of above-board business engages in this kind of practice? The kind that'll have some guy pounce on this review ASAP... rest assured. ;) P.S. The main reason why? They treated my Granddaughter as if she were their own child or relative. I have finally given up on getting anyone at this place to help me. I have never wrote a bad review in my life, but after multiple calls and finally sending an email and getting no response, I am not sure what else to do. I have bought three cars here. Three. Two the first time on the same day, then when we found out we were expecting shortly after wards, I traded my car back in for a car that seats more people. First, I bought a Honda Civic. When we got it home we realized the back was being held together with zip ties. I thought it was a joke and we had to argue with them to get it fixed even though we purchased a warranty. Even if we had not purchased a warranty, who sells a car like that? Then, the thermostat went out and we had to pay $100 to fix that. No big deal until it went out multiple more times. Like 4-5 more times. They then wanted to charge us $250 to fix the thermostat sensor. By that point I got two second opinions saying sensor was fine and it was the thermostat they had fixed multiple times. So, they wanted to charge us $250 to fix something that was not broken. When I spoke to Fadi about this he told me to call him in a couple days and he would fix it. Well, I called and called and left messages. No reply. I finally gave up and sent an email. That was March 22. I am still waiting for a reply. The second car I bought was a mazda 6. The day after I bought it, it would not start. I had to have a friend come jump me. They did replace the battery, but you would think they would check the battery before selling it to someone. When I went to trade this car in they told me the engine was covered with oil and started listing things that were wrong with it. Ironically, I had just had it in their shop a few days before getting everything fixed on it. When I told them that, I didn't hear another peep. When I went to get the third car my hands were tied, since I had just bought the first two, they were the only ones I could really trade my car in for and get any value for my warranty. I got a mazda 5. The brakes constantly grind and squeal, and I was told "that's how mazda breaks are". I just gave up at this point. My friend that referred us has bought two cars here (though she bought new so has not had issues with their service department) and has never received her referral bonus Fadi said he would personally take care of. This whole experience has been a joke, and if I could go back in time I would never set foot in this place. In my email I stated that we were treated like they just wanted us to go away. I have went to Kiefer Mazda, hoping to get a car and I did. I think they saw an easy mark with me. I got a 2011 Nissan Versa. They didn't clean it hardly at all, the seats were gross and the key that came with the car hardly works at all. It is shaved down, making it hard to open tje door and while the car is running, tje key comes right out. I called to see if I could get a replacement key and the sales person said that she would ask management but they probably would not give me one. So now I have a car that has dirty seats with keys that don't work very well. It took me 10 minutes this morning to get in my car and the dealership won't do anything to help me. I purchased a vehicle in June of 2018 and that experience was great. I do feel like I was talked into service add-ons that the service center that Kiefer had no interest in honoring. The oil change I received there this past December, they put an oil filter in my vehicle that had no seal so the oil leaked out in just a few weeks. I had to make an emergency stop because I was suddenly out of oil and had someone replace it and refill the oil, which was completely empty. When I took the faulty oil filter into the service center at Kiefer, they implied that either I or the person who replaced it was lying. I did not feel like they had taken me seriously, or were willing to compensate me for their mistake. In the same visit, I spoke with someone in their service center about getting some scratches fixed on my vehicle before the extended warranty I purchased expired. I was told that they would call me back with a time, since only one person does interior repairs, and I never heard back from them. Now I feel like they possibly shortened the life of my vehicle with the oil filter error, and that I wasted money on warranties that they did not honor. This is my second Mazda, but probably my last, and I would not recommend anyone purchase a vehicle from them, and if you do, don't use their service center and definitely don't get talked into any protection packages or warranties. read more

I purchased a 2012 Mini Cooper Clubman S in January 2016. In June (2016), I brought my Cooper in for my free oil change (synthetic is standard at Kiefer). My service adviser was Nick. I told Nick that my car was sluggish and that perhaps I needed a tune-up. Rather than simply just adding a tune-up Nick stated he would perform a diagnostic exam (free of charge) to see if in fact I even needed a tune-up. Turns out I did not need one but because I am very familiar with my car and Mini Cooper's in general I still opted for a better spark plug. My car was running sluggish because I needed an oil/filter change. Nick, quoted me the cost, the time frame he needed to complete the job and offered to have someone drive me home and pick me up if I did not want to wait. The service waiting area was clean and comfortable. Nick, checked with me a few times while I waited to give me status updates. I am giving this one star because I traded in a car with Kiefer Mazda in 2015 when I got a Mazda from them. Since then it has been a struggle because the car that I traded in they sold at auction and for some reason the car is still in my name. The car has received numerous tickets and has been towed and stored. I have called every number I could find to get this addressed because I am receiving letters stating I owe thousands of dollars in towing fees and fines for a vehicle that I traded in over four years ago. Kiefer Mazda has been absolutely no help and just offers different phone numbers that ultimately end up in dead ends. I'm super frustrated at this point and it's almost embarrassing that a dealership this established would let something like this happen. If I were you I would not feel confident in trading a vehicle here and would look at another dealership where this stuff doesn't happen. read more

By far one of the worst places to purchase a vehicle. Last year I bought a brand new CX-5 and as I drove home I noticed a high pitch whistle. I called to complain and have been given the run around ever since December 18. The main manager phaddy "assisted" me once with this problem. He got into my car to go on a test drive to listen to the noise. As we drove I told him I could hear it, and then he proceeded to tell me he's partially deaf and couldn't hear a thing. The service at this place is a joke. I'm always told I'll get called back, and as you may guess I don't. Everyone I talk to I tell them not to buy a car from here. I will never purchase a car from here again. I hate my car so much I wish I never purchased it. It was "fixed" once, and then after a day the problem came back. I never write complaints, but after so many times being let down by this company I wanted to warn other people before buying from them. If I could give this dealer a big fat thumbs down I would. Back in July I traded in my vehicle for a used truck. It did not come with a warranty, but they assured me that their team had looked over everything with the vehicle and that is was fine and there were no problems with it. I also asked if the tags were rolled into the payment and covered for the year, they said this was covered and that I would receive my tags in the mail. Well I have certainly received them in the mail alright, I got a letter from the DMV saying that I owe $86 in December for new tags even though the dealer charged me $77 for them in July!! Since I bought the truck, within exactly 4 months, I have had to put in a new battery, new windshield wipers, a new fuse for the lighter, the rear passenger windows motor is broken and needs replacing, the drivers side air bag was RECALLED! And my servicing dealer in Portland took care of that for me thank goodness!! I also had to do a 60k work up on it because even though it was so close to it, they didn't do it!! The passenger side mirrors casing is cracked and needs replacing, came like that off the lot, I asked them if they could fix it for me, I mean I am paying you $20,000 for a car, but no, they refused. Are you kidding me! I also need new tires within 20k mile. Why? Tires come with 100k miles on them, do you want to tell me why there were only 30k worth of miles to drive on those tires?!? They obviously did not look at the truck, lied to my face, and stuck me with something that I had no idea what was wrong with. I have put so much money into fixing this truck because of their inability to fix a vehicle before they put it on the lot to sell to someone. I asked all the right questions, a bunch of times, and they gave all the right answers, they just all happened to be lies. And they sold it at full blue book value, with all the problems, are you kidding me, if they had actually fixed everything and put new tires on and such, THEN your allowed to sell it at full blue book value. If I were you and buying a new car or used car, I would seriously go to ANYONE, besides Kiefer Mazda, you think your safe cause it's not a mom and pop dealer, but your not, it's still a lemon lot. I should have known from the commercials. And since I've started gripping about them to anyone I meet asking, I have found out that a lot of people have had problems with them. My suggestion...do your research before you ever set foot on their lot. They don't have the best history. I wish I knew that sooner :( read more

I just bought my 2nd Mazda from Kiefer Mazda a few weeks ago. I had a great experience with my 1st purchase of a used model. This last experience with Mitch Ripke was great too. He is so friendly, honest and knowledgeable - it is reassuring. I got in contact with him after my friend bought a new car from him and I reached out to see what there was for me. He asked me all the important questions about color, transmission, interior, and features. Then when I got there, he had 3 cars ready for me to inspect and checkout. I really appreciated this! Even though I knew I didn't like Leather interior and I was pretty sure I don't like coupes, he still had them ready so I could make sure. The test drive was great - he encouraged me to push the car to see what it could really do as far as get up and go and the Blind Spot Monitoring System. We worked on the numbers and made the sale. One draw back was that the exact color and trim I wanted wasn't on their lot; it was on another lot somewhere up north. So I bought the car before having been in the actual car. I was told I would get it the next day, but that didn't happen. It was not Mitch or anyone else fault at Kiefer. The lot that had my car was being extremely difficult with the coordination to make the trade for my car, so it actually took a few days to get. I was not happy about this delay, but Mitch and his Manager, Dean did everything in their power to make sure I was a happy customer. There were a couple hiccups in the process of buying this car, but in the end I very much appreciated how they went the extra mile to make me happy. I recommend Kiefer Mazda and Mitch Ripke to anyone interesting in buying new or used. I met Ron Stuery a few months ago and he promised excellent service on my '05 Cayenne. Scheduling was easy, I got in the day I wanted. Jen Crus greeted me and promised I'd be done in an hour. Went for a run along the river path nearby. Jen had it ready when I got back, Ron had hand washed my car himself. Everyone was great, AND my oil change was about half the price of luxury dealers. highly disappointed, received 3 phone calls before 9am, asked them not to call back , thar I would come in when I was going to purchase a car and they did not. I called asked to speak to a specific individual and told him of the experience i was having and told him I was looking for a 2017 Mazda Sport Sedan and would be willing to set the appointment so he would not miss out on any commission he may receive. I show up at 5 to find out he is not the individual who would be helping me, a lady said she would go inside to see who I was "assigned" to, waited for 10 minutes and nobody showed. We left, as we were leaving another lady stopped us to ask why we were leaving and I told her ..she then looked at me and said well good luck finding a good quality car then... After going to several dealerships and feeling very disappointed I went to Kiefer Mazda. My salesman was Jet and he is so nice, helpful and a genuine guy! I bought a Mazda 6 and am so happy I did! I absolutly live love it! Today I went in for my oil change and was treated by very nice and helpful staff, they checked everything for me too. Afterwards Jet helped me get my phone synced into the bluetooth, so cool! Honestly the best place every to buy a car and have it serviced, Thanks guys read more
