We went to Kids Empire for the first time last week and loved it so much that we came back again this week! My three-year-old son and my friend's 4 year old daughter absolutely love this place. There are seemingly endless climbing structures, confidence-building activities, and super-fun slides. We especially love the sled ride and the pink slide. It's also genuinely fun for parents because we can climb, play, and go down the slides with our kids. I'm so glad they don't restrict parents from entering the play structures like many other places do. They also don't force you to purchase their branded socks, you just need to wear socks for sanitation purposes. Almost everything is included with admission. The only activity that costs extra is the ride-on motorcycle that kids can actually drive around a track. Honestly, it's completely worth the upgrade! It's only $1 per ride, goes around the track a few times, and isn't just a stationary arcade ride. The kids absolutely love it, and it's one of my son's favorite things to do there. And there's a large building block Lego section that is so awesome! The entire facility is always very clean. I never see trash anywhere, it smells clean, and the employees are constantly wiping down tables and tidying up. The woman at the front desk has also been consistently kind and helpful. There's a separate toddler area so the little ones can play safely without being run over by bigger kids, plus a huge play area for older children. They also have a fun dance room with music, colorful lights, and glow effects that my son loves running around in. The facility is comfortably air-conditioned, and snacks, water, and other drinks are available for purchase. For a little over $20, your child can play all day, and they don't charge extra admission for additional adults like many other places do. I've visited more than 15+ indoor playgrounds around San Diego, and Kids Empire is easily number one for us. It offers the best bang for your buck, my son never wants to leave, and I actually enjoy being there as a parent. Highly recommend! read more

A family was asked to leave because their autistic son repeatedly removed his socks while playing. While I understand that businesses may have safety policies, the complete lack of accommodation, understanding, or flexibility for a child with a disability was extremely concerning. Children with autism often experience sensory challenges that can make things like wearing socks difficult. Families with special needs children deserve compassion, understanding, and inclusion--not exclusion. I hope management takes a hard look at how situations involving disabled children are handled in the future. No parent should have to explain to their child why their siblings are invited back, but they are not. It was a heartbreaking and humiliating experience to witness and left the family appearing unwelcome and discriminated against. read more

I'm happy another indoor playground opened up near home. We had a blast! I had flashbacks of my discovery zone days. The kids were running around, parents were following behind enjoying the play structures just as much as the kids. I got in my second workout of the day climbing through the tunnels. There are slides, soccer play area, a mini driving area, large blocks/legos, a dance room with flashing lights... it was awesome! There is a large sitting area for parents. One kid is $23 and two adults are free. Infants free as well with paid sibling. There is a play zone for infants and toddlers. It says for those in diapers. It has a ball pit so naturally preschoolers were in there as well but everyone played gently for the most part. I recommend checking on your kid often to ensure they are playing kindly with others. There was an unsupervised kid throwing balls and another parent was asking where was his adult. We did not get anything from the snack bar but it's available. This place is located inside the mall. We entered near Dicks sporting goods and it's about six places down. Easy check in as we did everything online prior to arrival. You must wear socks. They dont force you to buy their socks like other places which I love. There are lockers available to put your items. We will be back! read more

Had my daughters 5th birthday party here and it was a great experience. Everyone I interacted with here was super friendly and professional. They will call you a few days prior to make sure you understand what's in your package and what is and isn't allowed. Trinity was a tremendous help during our party time. She checked in constantly and kept everyone on schedule. I had about 30 ish people and went over a bit on the allotted amount for my package and she was awesome in letting me know that I would need to be charged for them. Which is something to keep in mind if you want to book a party here ( and you should). I opted to do outside food but you can get the package where they provide pizza, cake, drinks and more. My daughter had the best time and so did her friends. I highly recommend booking here, they take care of everything and it's an easy straightforward process. read more

Big spacious and AC at full blast! Was waiting for opening day back in April but for one thing or another was not able to make it until now. This place is so big and well organized. Plenty of chairs and seats and the playground is huge three stories high and made into a maze. One huge slide another with a wave like side. I would recommend parents with girls to have the wear their girls with biker shorts or pants, as my little one was wearing a dress and got burns from the slide. My fault I should have known better since this has happened at another location. The slide area is very slippery so watch out for that. Overall is was a great experience! read more

This indoor playground is pretty big and my kids were entertained for hours! I like that they offer in and out privileges . We left to grab lunch and came back. They have snacks for sale there as well. They provide free lockers and cubbies. They also have some claw games that you need to buy a card for. The reason for the 4 starts is that there was a bunch of chips and stuff on the floor and nobody ever came around to sweep. It would've been nice if someone was in charged of that. read more

There is an area specifically for infants and toddlers. 2 slides also included. The price is really good too. $22.90 for children, adults included. Place just opened, and so glad it did. My kid had the time of his life - stayed for 3 hours and didn't feel like it. The staff is great and nice. Cost is reasonable. Place is clean and safe. She always makes friends and the staff is always very accommodating. The staff is very nice and customer service oriented. The playground is always very clean and the lively environment makes it enjoyable for the children and their families. When Huggy comes out to greet the children the lights are sometimes dimmed so it becomes a disco for the children! Great indoor playground!! read more

I definitely do not recommend this place; the owner clearly has no idea what they are doing. He doesn't know how to run a business. Today, I took my daughter there to play, and after wasting time just trying to register--since I intended to pay with cash--the cashier told me they don't accept cash. I was absolutely furious, and my daughter was in tears. On top of failing to open on the days they had announced for their grand opening, now this happens. I took my son to Kid Empire and had such a great experience, largely thanks to one employee--Kenny. From the moment we walked in, he was incredibly helpful, informative, and welcoming. We stayed for about six hours, which really gave us time to see how everything runs--and honestly, he was running the entire place. That time even included their come-and-go policy--we were able to leave, grab dinner, and come back so the kids could keep playing, which was a huge plus. The place itself is amazing--it's huge, with so much for the kids to do. They even do this fun thing where they turn off the lights and a dinosaur comes out, which made the whole experience extra exciting for the kids. There were multiple birthday parties happening at once, and Kenny handled it all seamlessly. He was checking guests in, working the concession stand, restocking supplies, assisting customers, and making sure everything stayed organized. He never missed a beat and kept everything moving smoothly. While some of the other staff could benefit from more training, Kenny truly stood out. We will definitely be returning. It's not every day you come across a place that genuinely feels welcoming. Our kids have autism, so outings can be challenging at times, but Kenny handled everything with patience and understanding. There were a couple concerns, and even when another parent complained, he already understood the situation and handled it appropriately and professionally without making us feel uncomfortable. We explained that this was one of our kids' first outings like this, and he took the time to really understand and support us, which meant a lot. He's exactly what you'd expect from a manager--professional, hardworking, and attentive--and he absolutely deserves recognition (and a pay raise!). Took my two kids here today, I thought it was pretty rad. My complaint is that they told us we could not have outside food or drink. We can only buy food here. I have a son who is autistic and has a specific diet of foods and snacks he can eat so this is a problem for me. They said they wanted to respect if kids have allergies by not allowing outside food, meanwhile they are selling crustables with peanut butter, which is the most most dangerous allergen. Not being able to bring our own food significantly lowers my chances of bringing my family here again. All other play places we have been to allow this so I think they should definitely adjust their policy if they want to keep happy customers. read more

Checking in was chaotic, even with having a QR code with a completed waiver on the phone. There is really no system in place. No outside food allowed. You can purchase snacks for hefty price. Ex. Really fun and clean new venue for kids. I went during the week so I can't speak to the crowds on weekends, but during the week I felt quite safe with my child running around and I could just sit for a few moments. I don't think I've done much of that since she was born. Their climbing structure is big enough for grown-ups, so it was fun to join in too. I found out the embarrassing way they don't take Amex but I forgive them haha, they have only been open a couple weeks and the cashier didn't catch it. No outside food and their snacks are pretty small, so just make sure you eat beforehand but they also let you check out and eat somewhere and then come back. Of course poor Parkway Plaza isn't doing the greatest so our visit was kind of a sad reminder walking through a quiet mall that used to be THE mall when I was growing up. read more

My friend and I came in here to spend an afternoon with our kids and ended up staying until almost closing. We absolutely loved it! (as well as our kids) The seating was nice and if you sat far back enough you could see almost the whole play structure which kept keeping an eye on our kids so nice. We felt safe with them running around since the gates to the playground were only opened with employee access. All our kids are also on the spectrum and we felt like it was very inclusive and the staff was accommodating. On top of everything, the manager Kinny, was incredible! We watched him single handedly manage the entire facility with composure, kindness, and efficiency. We had parents complain about our Autistic teen to him and he handled it with such consideration, inclusivity, and respect. I can't say enough about how much this guy needs a raise, promotion, or what because he was on top of it!! Anyways, if you are looking for a place to let your kids burn off some energy, a mom date, birthday, or whatever, definitely check this place out! Today I witnessed a child punch another child in the face and pushed him. the parent told an employee and the manager and they did nothin! this playground does not have en employees to monitor the behavior of the kids and the kids breaking the rules. if you want your child in a safe place don't come here! they are all about money and just getting people in and parties. We had a birthday party here and at least one parent booked for next month while we were there, we were all pretty blown away with how incredible the experience was! 2.5 hrs of table time, the lunch boxes were perfect, Huggy dance party was THE highlight. I had to book last minute due to a series of unfortunate events and it wasn't an issue at all. The host will do everything from setup to cleanup (including setting up your own decorations if you drop them off early). The package pricing is very competitive, and all the kids had a fantastic time. Facilities were very clean, I as the party mom felt like as much a VIP as the birthday kid. Check in was a little slow because I didn't sign the waiver right (doh) but staff was patient and courteous despite it being quite busy at check in when we got there. Im just amazed. Special shout out to Dalila who rocked hosting. Most important: I got to play with my kid, I didn't have to do all the busy work, which is huge considering we normally do park parties. Such an interesting experience, unfortunately you can tell that the place is understaffed but I'm assuming that's due to it being a new place and the payroll just isn't there yet. The younger staff are a bit immature but it's to be expected these days, however, Kelsey (sorry if I spelled that wrong) was very helpful. It's not as big as people say it is. I was here on Sunday April 12, 2026. It's not cleaned. Tables dirty. Trash on the floor. Not enough staff to go around and make sure the place is kept clean and staff to help or answer questions. Long line to check in. 1-2 staff but the other one would leave and only 1 left to check the guest in. The lady who checked guest in today was inpatient. And presented frustrated when it's peoples first time here. She was annoyed by peoples questions. I find it strange since it's new people will have lots of questions. Just feedback for management.
